Uncle Julio’s has a vast drink selection. Try our fresh margarita of the day, made to order with fresh fruit. If you prefer a frozen drink then the Swirl is definitely the perfect choice. The Swirl is frozen sangria & frozen margarita layered together dating back to 1987.

Great food and server was excellent
We were only visiting for the day and chose this restaurant on a whim. Wish we had one here in Philadelphia
So much better than cooking the night before Thanksgiving. They’ve done a lot of renovations. Restaurant looks pretty. Service great. Food great. Never a bad time.
The soft tortillas made fresh are really special, and the food is generally very good. Service is a little bit of a controlled chaos, but it all comes together. This is a good place if you are craving Mexican.
Food was bland - quesadillas were all tasteless. Service was slow and they forgot one of our sides completely. Our server hardly stopped to check on us or refill drinks.
The venue was beautiful inside. The food and service was excellent, we highly recommend getting the chocolate piñata for dessert!
The waiter seemed in a hurry - although I indicated it was my daughters birthday, he seemed annoyed when I asked about having some sort of dessert w/ a candle. The food was hot but okay.

Some of the best authentic Mexican in Reston. Hero style margarita’s were top notch. Tacos were fresh and mighty. Service was terrific. Seemed like we beat the dinner rush which made all the difference.
The restaurant was crowded and loud with the tables placed much too closely together. You were practically sitting with the table next to you and were part of their conversation, like it or not. That was after trying to pass by a group of 10 people smoking right in front of the door. The appetizers came at the same time as the entrees. Food was good but relatively expensive for Mexican. This used to be a favorite place but no longer.

Great service and food and drinks were delicious. It was my birthday and they gave me a delicious treat I never had before. Enjoyed my time there.
The service was great and our server was wonderful. BUT the food was just awful. I had fish tacos and they tasted like rubber and cardboard. I'm not usually so critical of food but it really stood out to me how bad it tasted because I didn't think fish tacos were that hard to mess up. Also my ice tea was very weak, not a big deal but I did notice it. I won't be going back.

Guacamole was ok, no need to put it on a mediocre bed of shredded lettuce. The carne asada and enchilada combo was good. The margaritas were ok.

Our family loves Uncle Julio's food and we had a good dinner on Friday night, expect my entree didn't arrive, which both our waiter and the manager immediately acknowledged and resolved plus removed it from our bill! As always, the food was superb! We will be back.
The waitress was extremely rude to my table. Received the wrong order- however they didn't charge us for that meal. Overall it still didn't makeup for the okay food and terrible service.

Usually things are very fast but we had a somewhat inattentive waiter who didn’t take our order for a full 15 mins ( although we did have appetizers) even though it wasn’t super busy. They keep redoing the restaurant look and feel but never address the sound issues. Hard surfaces and high ceilings. But the food is GREAT and a super value. 2 people can really share fajitas for one, but we always like leftovers. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Just an occasional blip of less than exceptional service.

Made a reservation; Given a device when my table would be ready. - treated like walk-ins. Staff from hostess to wait staff very lackadaisical.

I’ve been going to this restaurant since it opened as The Rio Grand Cafe. The portions have gotten smaller and the prices have gone way up. The quality of the food was less than satisfactory and the restaurant and restrooms were dirty. This used to be our go-to restaurant for Mexican food...not anymore.

Was very noisy, asked for refried beans and got regular, otherwise food was ok and service was good
Very glad we made reservations as the restaurant was packed on a Friday night. The table side guacamole was excellent, and our server was great. The noise level was almost painful so we ate quickly and left. Our entrees (enchiladas) were just ok - the chicken enchiladas were pretty bland and a bit dry. Overall, great service, food was served quickly, and our bill was definitely reasonable. It’s worth a return trip during the week (maybe it will be less loud) to try a different entree.
The women’s bathroom was not clean but other then that food was great , service was wonderful
Restaurant did not accept reservations for outside seating and after waiting for a table to open 15 minutes later, was seated at a table that was slanted down almost 45 degrees. Informed the manager and he asked me what I wanted him to do. We got up and left. Horrible service.

The restaurant was extremely loud - so loud that nobody at my table could hear one another. Knowing it would be busy on a nice Friday night, I made a reservation. Unfortunately, we were not seated until almost half an hour after the reservation time, and there is very limited space to wait in. The employees could not give us any idea of how long we would be waiting either. The food was OK, but it felt really expensive when the experience/environment itself was fairly unpleasant.

The place was very loud, and packed, on a wednesday night. It took over an hour, once we were seated before our food arrived. The waiter did not visit the table often. It seems there were more diners than they could provide a good experience too.

Had a wonderful time having dinner at the restaurant. The food was delicious and our waiter was excellent. It was pretty loud in there but with a packed place that's to be expected.
No one brought water or came to say hello for over 10 minutes after being seated, even though the restaurant was 80% empty. Food was not as good as expected.

We ate outside because it is often loud inside, and as long as it is not too hot that is the best way to experience Uncle Julio’s. The food is always fantastic and our waitress was very attentive. Love this place.

They have remodeled and it looks fresh and more open. Our waiter, Kevin, was incredible! Food was good as always.
No space between tables, people stepping on each other, no pleasant experience dining, need to lookout for servers carrying food between tables
