Uncle Julio’s is a Mexican from scratch kitchen serving only the freshest ingredients. Specialties include: chicken & steak fajitas, tender filet mignon, and bacon wrapped shrimp. Other favorites include: seafood fajitas, shrimp al pastor, red snapper, or ahi tuna served with homemade corn tortillas or bibb lettuce.

Uncle Julio’s menu also includes Tex-Mex classics such as tacos, enchiladas & tamales all with a selection of sauces made daily. Insider tip: order the tableside guacamole. It’s prepared for you at your table; if you like it spicy kick it up a notch with fresh chopped jalapenos.

My fiance and I went right before closing and the people couldn't have been nicer. The food was absolutely delicious and the waitress was awesome. If you get a chance, please check it out. I know you won't be disappointed.

The reservations works very well. Our table is ready when we walk in or within 5 minutes. All of the staff are friendly, thorough, prompt, and helpful. We love all of the food, however it is mainly the great staff that keeps us returning.

Great food! Service was wonderful. Table was ready when we arrived. Only draw back is the noise level. I’ve been here many times so the noise is expected. Just know what to expect. Don’t expect a quiet intimate setting.

Made a reservation for 12:15 through Open Table, got there right at 12:15, but had to wait at the hostess stand 5 or so minutes for them to get to the 3 parties ahead of us. Gave them my name, and saw I was on the reservation list. The host asked if we wanted inside or patio. I said if the only available tables inside are out in the middle of the floor I would prefer outside. He said more than likely all tables are out in the middle, so he put us down for outside and handed me a pager. I thought the point of a reservation was not to have to wait, anyway we wait 5-10 minutes then get paged. As they are walking us outside, we pass at least 5 open tables and 3 of them are along the wall. The patio is okay, but it is only a few feet from a busy street, so road noise can be an issue. On the flip side, it does get very loud inside if the restaurant is full. Regardless, the hosts should make more of an effort. They tend to make you feel like they are doing you a favor by seating you and are not very friendly or welcoming. We have eaten here several times and I always feel this way. The food is good and they serve very generous portions, but I’m not sure the chicken used for fajitas is 100% real chicken. It seemed more like ‘pressed’ meat. For the cost of their food, I expect the real thing. Chips and salsa are very good and we usually always have a great server.

I made a reservation for a birthday party with 4 guests for 7:30PM Friday, February 28,2020. We arrived right at 7:30 (parking is ridiculous in this location- however not my complaint.). After checking in we then waited an additional 15 minutes for our table to be “cleared” before we were seated (still not my complaint.). Once seated we waited at least 10 minutes for a server to make an appearance to our table at which time everyone ordered alcoholic beverages (everyone was 30 & over- in fact we were there to celebrate MY 30th birthday). We were all asked to present our IDs, not a problem, we all happily provided ID. The waiter then asked me for a valid ID that was not expired, ok perfect I then provided my paper ID issued earlier that same day directly from the DMV website. This paper clearly states that when presented along with your photo ID the photo ID is valid for 60 (SIXTY) days after the expiration period. Just FYI my license expired 2/26/2020 on my 30th birthday! So here we are 2 days into the state of Texas’s legal 60 day agreement. The waiter checked with his manager (fine by me, I am according to the STATE OF TEXAScarrying a legal ID). The manager presents himself another 10 minutes later to tell me they refuse to serve me! Alright great, we are leaving your establishment then to take our business elsewhere. Also- policies such as Texas DMV laws don’t apply here your ID card/ DRIVERS LICENSE will not be accepted with a paper license should be posted on your website to prevent mishaps of TERRIBLE customer service.
