Jack's Steak Sandwich
Prime NY Strip Steak, Garlic Bread With Roasted Onions, Buffalini Mozzarella, Fresh Herbed Fries
Prime Filet Mignon
Served In Its Own Juices
Very nice restaurant. The steaks are better than the high-end chop houses. Much better flavor than most big name joints.
You could not have better servers knowledgeable, friendly and great humor.
The experience was the best we had in a week of New York vacation!
This is hands down our favorite restaurant in NYC, maybe even anywhere. We were so happy to return after the pandemic -- it's been one of the places we've most been looking forward to experiencing again. The steaks are PHENOMENAL, but so is every other item on the menu. The service is top-notch with attentive, friendly servers who turn timing into an art form. We're so very happy Uncle Jack's is open again. It's our must-do every trip to NYC.
I wasn't that impressed. My husband and I try a new steakhouse every time we are in the city. There wasn't anything really bad. The food was prepared properly.
My worst dining experience in a NYC steakhouse ever in over 20 years of visits. I took my family to enjoy a NYC steakhouse. The server had a smug and cold attitude and never smiled or welcomed us. We ended up paying for our drinks and appetizer and leaving to go to another restaurant. Embarrassing performance by a supposedly reputable restaurant. The servers attitude was certainly the worst I have ever experienced for a ~$1000 dinner which we cut off at $300 to save our evening.
Very good experience overall. Food, service, cost all reasonable or better. Thanks for a good meal time!
Friendly professional staff.
Deena, Elva, Sergio & others treated us like friends & family!
Food was excellent & large portions.
We all need to return & support our restaurants!
We enjoyed a Porterhouse for Two with a Caesar Salad, and ordered sautéed mushrooms. Worth every penny! Service was excellent as always.
We received a complimentary dessert since we answered the occasion question on the Open Table app when booking the reservation. We had a very happy anniversary!
Great meal and service consistently.
Uncle Jack's has been one of my favorite haunts since 2007! I am thrilled they have survived this past year! Our dinner there this past Friday was superb... what i have come to expect. Our server, Sergio was fantastic as always. This restaurant is taking all the necessary precautions. I hope everyone will go and enjoy a fabulous dinner there, so they can continue to survive these still challenging times!
The food and staff was terrific
NY strip and Filet were amazing - perfectly cooked. Drinks and wine selection are excellent. Overall a lovely dinner with great service.
The restaraunt wasn’t even opened.
This was a special occasion as I had planned on this News years to take the love of my life to dinner . What a wonderful surprise to not only booked on open table but then go take and pay cab fare . Mind you I live in Times Square area and was difficult enough to get a cab .finally arrived to see the restaurant has closed and out of business. Would have been nice if someone would remove the restaurant from the choices on open table . Wonderful way to spend New Years
I've been to Uncle Jack's many times. It's always been my favorite but this time was just not good at all. They were busy putting up Christmas decorations during dinner. Very distracting. The food was just not good at all. There was no flavor. Everything was dried out and kind of gross. No one asked us about coffee or dessert. It wasn't busy. You think it would have been better. I was terribly disappointed.
Considering the situation they are on point
Best filet mignon in the city.
Service was amazing. Food came out fast. One of my favorites.
Had Steak sandwich for lunch it was not good .The quality has slipped a lot .Bread was soggy and meat tough. My friends Tuna was just about ok
The food was actually very good. The portion size is actually decent but the price a bit steep. The part that was very annoying and uncalled for is the fact that they will add a credit card fee to your check. Given how much we spent that it wasn't cheap seeing an extra charge for a credit card fee it really made us not ever want to comeback.
Place is nice and cozy. Food is excellent steaks are very juicy, the porter house for 2 was excellent my family has been there a couple of times and never disappointed. The help is excellent very friendly. But it’s pricey but well worth it
Service not great avocado and lobster salads tiny pie e of lobster.
Food and service was excellent! Surprised and disappointed to see a $7.00 charge to pay with a credit card.
Excellent food, fun Tuesday night half price wine list. Service not so attentive on this particular night
We have been to to this place several times before hand. The last time was about 3 years ago. Being from out of town, we were excited to have another great experience. It was not to be had this time. Our waiter was unfriendly, knowledgable, and oft times rude during our service. Way off the game from our past experiences. The expeditor, literally dropped our flatware in front of us rather than placing it in the correct spot with grace. She had an attitute of, "I don't want to be here, and I really don't want you to be here either." I guess there are plenty of high end steak places in the city that will take our money. Sad. Disappointing. Never going back.
Baked clams were wack. Wedge salad is better at Uncle Jacks meathouse. Loaded baked potato just added cheese for $8.00 more than the regular baked potato. The Kobe beef was outstanding, kinda made up for the rest of a forgettable meal. Service was great. Very nice people. I would rather eat at Uncle jacks meathouse in Astoria than the flagship in Manhattan.
I always try to make it to Uncle Jacks when I visit NYC! The food and service are both outstanding
My son & I went to the Knicks game and had a wonderful dinner after at Uncle Jack's. I had been there once before and was very good....it did not disappoint on the second time. We had the porterhouse steak for two, two great sides and two wonderful appetizers. Food was great! Food came out very timely. Only complaint was waiting a bit long for our check...I will be back!
Meat was cooked perfectly! Melt in your mouth! Service was great. I have absolutely no complaints and would recommend this dining experience to anyone who loves steak!
My first experience at Uncle Jack’s was fantastic! The food, service and overall vibe of the restaurant was pleasant. The waiter was prompt, the food didn’t take too long. Overall quality of the food was excellent! We were all blown away. I would love to return to this establishment to treat someone else for a special occasion. I believe they would love it as much as I did.
Sons 18th birthday
Dinner before concert at Madison Square Garden
Very nice atmosphere
We felt lucky to get a 6:00 reservation. Our food was fantastic, the wine selection great, and the restaurant vibe fun. I would recommend and would return if we are in the area again.
We have been to Uncle Jack's before and felt it was the best meal we've ever had. This time was a different experience and it was disappointing. My filet was very undercooked (I ordered medium and got the lightest side of medium rare). Then instead of recooking, they just put the pieces in a pan to cook more. This left the filet well done, medium well, and in one tiny spot, medium. I couldn't believe they would send it out like that. They did take it back again and recook with a new piece. The cauliflower that I normally love was barely roasted so it didn't have that beautiful dark color and depth of flavor. I know that it was off because the table next to us had an amazing looking plate of it. Ours was bland and stringy. Bread, caesar salad, and dessert (mousse) were delicious. Service was very good. It was extremely loud in there and in order to talk both people had to lean forward to the middle of the table, or shout. Neither of which were pleasant. So overall the visit for me was a 2 star but I upped it to 3 because I know they can do better.
Very cold was freezing all night
Very busy so shoved in a tiny corner
Food was lovely
The food was amazing. Everything came out as expected. The atmosphere of the place was calm. Would go out again on a special occasion. Best 21th birthday.
Fantastic experience as always, our Valentine's day traditional dinner. Love it!
As always the food was superb.
I am a little ashamed to say that my girlfriend likes her steak well done but they always manage to get mine rare and hers out at the same time.
The staff is great.
