The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive. Overall the service was excellent. I will definitely be coming back.
Place has gone downhill. We used to love coming each time we’d visit NYC but last visit will be the last. The Tomahawk was over cooked. Service was spotty. Wine not from a wine cellar so wrong temperature. Sad to see this place in decline like this.
Uncle Jack's is a fine-dining experience. The usual steakhouse style with an added panache. The staff was extremely accommodating and the drinks/food was excellent. We really enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to doing it again. Highly recommended!
Great food. Great service. If you’re staying in midtown south and or attending the Javits, and wNt a true NYC restaurant experience within walking distance and not overpay. This is the place to go.
My steak came out basically uncooked. Calling it raw isn’t even close. He second time it came out it was raw. Since the rest of my party had finished their meals I asked to have the steak taken off our bill. The Manager was offended and gave me an attitude
Lost its step. Steak cut poor. Service slow. Too much focus on private party.
Very consistent quality, great wait staff who are attentive and courteous. Nice wine list.
Steaks are good and they have outstanding crab cakes. However, the ambiance and the service are not nearly up to par with the location they had on 55th off of 5th Avenue. The wait staff seemed disinterested and distant. Mistakes made with the order, such as bringing the wrong main courses, were corrected by the manager. The waiter tried to pass off what was served as what we ordered. The manager quickly corrected the errors.
We drove from Montreal (canada), we had a great service, excellent food (filet mignon), we knew about the price and the menu, so we were not surprise when we received the bill. It was part of a great weekend in New-York city.
Meat was very delicious. Waiter was kind of rude. Asked if we could have ceasar salad with a different kind of salad (not romaine due to the current situation in the US) but he said we could just order another kind of salad. We will not come back.
Great food and service
Excellent service and fantastic food.
Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious.
Excellent steakhouse. Our group tried a number of different cuts - all were cooked to perfection and had exceptional flavor. Apps and sides we're delish and service was outstanding. We will go again and will look forward to it.
Sat at the bar for dinner--Bartender "D" was the absolute best. Treated us like 5 star customers. Will go back everytime I am in NY
The best Steakhouse in NYC. Better than Lugers, Mortons or the old homestead (no disrespect intended)
Ken the Maureen d’ was hospitable and inviting! The food and service was great as usual!
All I can say is REMARKABLE SERVICE.
Our Server Mark was amazing. Very attentive and knowledgeable. He was friendly and established a relationship with us when we were there. The support staff was amazing as well. Refilled our glasses with no hesitation and always provided clean silverware when needed. The Maitre D' sat us and checked on us periodically which was great.
The food was elegant, delicious, and very generous. The "Fred Flintstone" was Perfect. We are only in town for a few days but will defitenetly come back next time we are in the area.
Went to Uncle Jack's before Billy Joel on November 10th. Although we had dinner reservations, we would rather sit at the bar. We arrived 30 minutes early and the bar was empty (only because they had just opened at 4:00), so the seats we sat in for a couple before dinner drinks we stayed in for the duration of our meal. Neither my husband nor I caught the bartender's name but he was AMAZING!! He was courteous and super attentive but not at all pushy. He knew we had tickets for the show but also respected the fact that we wanted to relax and have a good time with our dinner before leaving. Uncle Jack's is always our go-to place to eat when we visit NYC and although we were frequent flyers of the Midtown location (and super sad when that one closed), the Westside Uncle Jack's is second to none. The shrimp cocktail, the wedge salad, porterhouse for 2, loaded baked potato the size of a football, and the banana cream pie and chocolate mousse were all to die for. We have tickets in December for Andrea Bocelli and without a doubt, Uncle Jack's is our first stop before the show. Thank you to the entire staff at Uncle Jack's for another incredible dining experience. Uncle Jack's never disappoints!
Excellent but pricey. Everything a la carte, including the bread.
Elton John concert
Very good service, loved the Steaks & the Lobster Tails!
Everyone was awesome.
The Bartender recommendation of not too expensive Cab - was spot on!
Got there a bit late, but they held our reservation. We had to move quickly due to an event at MSG and they were incredibly accommodating.
Side of broccoli was served undercooked and cold, returned and served a second time undercooked but (mildly) hot. I find that inexcusable for a restaurant of this caliber.
Dinner was amazing !!
The best service!
Really refined restaurant, great communication among staff, 2" thick filet was perfectly cooked. Sea bass was moist, flaky with a delightful flavor.
In New York for 25th anniversary and heard many good things and Uncle Jacks. The service and attention were top notch, could not ask for much better. The food... all plates were delicious. My steak was good, but for a 75.00 chop I was thinking it would have been a little better. Don’t get me wrong it was good, but was expecting a ‘wow’ piece of meat. Would come back when in town if that was a choice.
I’ve had great meals at the uncle jacks in bayside. This was poor in comparison. The appetizer came out with the meal (which the waiter was very apologetic about) and my $24 burger was supposed to be med rare - rare and came out med well (also apolgetic). You would think that after 2 pretty big screw ups they would take a little something off the bill. Anything, a side dish or a drink. Nothing. I will never go back to that restaurant. Burger at Wollensky grill is 10x better.
Good food and good atmosphere....would definitely return
Always visit when in town! Wonderful service and delicious meal! Will not disappoint!
I have eaten in Uncle Jack's locations in Midtown and Bayside. I found that the lack of personal service at the Ninth Avenue location very disappointing and will not be returning to it.
It was my wife and my first time eating here. Everything was great!! Would surely recommend this cozy place.
Was good until we discovered that the place charges extra if you pay with a credit card! Uncle Jacks seems to be operating like a gas station instead of a fine dining establishment . There is zero justification to add a 6.00
Fee on top of a 200.00 + check . I guess business must be pretty bad to add extra fees for paying by credit card . I’m sure many big check diners will think twice about being ripped off like this . Shame on Uncle Jack ! Bad business move !
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the steaks were amazing! The service was fantastic and we will definitely be back on our next trip to NYC!!!
Expected a far better atmosphere, restaurant was only 50% full, waiter forgot our desserts, overall very disappointed as we had far higher expectations
Had a delicious meal before a show at Madison Square Garden. A must if you like steaks.
Bravo, excellente expérience, à Découvrir pour les amateurs de viandes
Was a nice experience. We wanted something a bit more quiet and it was perfect for that. Food was very good!
Service also ok.
Overall a good choice!
The NY strip steak was extremely charred and the bread was burnt. The waiter was only seen once or twice.
They seemed to struggle a bit to get my fish special cooked properly but they made good on it and everything else was great.
