We went for Valentine’s Day. We were in from out of town and made reservations based on the reviews.

Nothing is all bad, so I will start with the good.
They game an unsolicited $25 Gift Card for dining there for next time. The server was friendly and overall not bad.

What was not good?
The bread was not good. It was too crusty and not what I would have expected. The $18 lobster bisque was good until the lobster shells revealed themselves. They brought over the wrong meal, but luckily we told them immediately. My husband thought it was odd that they brought what was on our table to the table it was intended for instead is making a new one. My steak was supposed to be Medium Well and was closer to Medium Rare. My husband was charred too much. The Creme brûlée was too burnt on top.

For the price it was not acceptable. I expect more from a NYC steakhouse.

We gave our $25 gift card to the table next to us.

Ambiance and service were excellent. For the price, I would have expected the steak to be free of any sinew, but the flavor was delious. Overall a very nice experience.

Poor lobster cocktail. Scrawny. Bad sirloins. Tough. Gristly. Embarrassing. I would never return, especially with so many better steakhoused around.

This’s is the 6 time I have been to this Uncle Jack location and the first time I can say we had bad experience. The service was terrible. Waited time and time again for drink orders. The food was below what I have come to expect from uncle jacks . Don’t think I will return . Signed very disappointed customer .

Outstanding food. Waiter Tony was amazing. Old school. Loved it! The other wait staff was ok but only because of a language barrier. We found the Maitre D to be flippant and unnecessarily ostentatious. I would still highly recommend it!

Great place to dine. I took my husband there for his birthday and we enjoy ourselves to the fullest. The complimentary champagne and dessert with a candle was priceless. Definitely will go again. This is my fourth time being there in the two years knowing this restaurant.

Had 6:30 reservation before an 8:00 concert. Got there at 6:30 and was told it would be at least 15 minutes for the table. We were going to leave but there were 4 seats at the bar. Told the bar tender we needed to be out in an hour and she said no problem. We ordered right of way. Took over 30 minutes to get our salads, which were delicious and the n at 7:45 we had to walk out without ever getting our food. The restaurant is right near Madison Square Garden and knew most people were there for the concert but did not make the appropriate plans to serve all the people that had reservations. we asked to speak to the manager and was told he was busy. Would not go back pre-event but might go back when time is not an issue.

This was my second time at Uncle Jacks. The first time was at another location and the experience was amazing as well as the food. This time was decent but not as good. Service was less attentive. Still decent but my steak wasn’t as flavorful as last time.

Parking around there was horrible with construction, lot of one ways and Lincoln Tunnel traffic. I ended up paying $$ for parking lot and food was not cheap. And they stopped serving bread selection and charges $3 for a dried out roll they call onion bread. Uncle Jack's should offer parking discounts or vouchers 5o draw more customers.

This is my second time at this location. The waiter was not very friendly.
The food was splendid. Had bacon wrapped shrimp for appetizer and steak sandwich with herb seasoned fries for my meal.
I took a picture of my dessert and not only pretty, but tasted good.

I normally don’t write reviews but definitely have to after my visit the other night. I used to visit their other location prior to it closing and loved it. I was a little disappointed in having to go to their other location but the service was fantastic. I dine here as they will not char your steak if you request. When the steak came out it it had a small amount of char but not at all over done. I was pleased but my waiter thought it appeared to have more char than requested and asked if I would like to send it back but I declined as I was happy what was served. At the end of the meal our waiter came to our table and gave us a platter of desserts on the house and the manager came over to apologize and that he heard that the steak came out with more char than expected and apologized. During this whole time I was never unhappy with my steak or service but was impressed that the manager and waiter cared to be proactive and follow up as well. I’m sorry I didn’t catch either of their names but I will definitely recommend that others frequent this establishment.

We had a birthday dinner at Uncle Jack's steakhouse. The food is outstanding and our service was excellent. We wanted to have a nice quiet good dinner in NYC with a good value for your money. The ambiance is definitely old world but I found it charming. The price and the food quality are right!

I used to go to the Uncle Jack's on the east side, but now that my job has moved to the west side I'm able to go to this one on the west side. The waitstaff was polite and very attentive. The food was tasty and on point. I will definitely be going back. Thanks Uncle Jack staff for a good customer experience.
