The restaraunt wasn’t even opened.
This was a special occasion as I had planned on this News years to take the love of my life to dinner . What a wonderful surprise to not only booked on open table but then go take and pay cab fare . Mind you I live in Times Square area and was difficult enough to get a cab .finally arrived to see the restaurant has closed and out of business. Would have been nice if someone would remove the restaurant from the choices on open table . Wonderful way to spend New Years
I've been to Uncle Jack's many times. It's always been my favorite but this time was just not good at all. They were busy putting up Christmas decorations during dinner. Very distracting. The food was just not good at all. There was no flavor. Everything was dried out and kind of gross. No one asked us about coffee or dessert. It wasn't busy. You think it would have been better. I was terribly disappointed.
Food amazing
Service great
Considering the situation they are on point
Best filet mignon in the city.
Service was amazing. Food came out fast. One of my favorites.
Had Steak sandwich for lunch it was not good .The quality has slipped a lot .Bread was soggy and meat tough. My friends Tuna was just about ok
The food was actually very good. The portion size is actually decent but the price a bit steep. The part that was very annoying and uncalled for is the fact that they will add a credit card fee to your check. Given how much we spent that it wasn't cheap seeing an extra charge for a credit card fee it really made us not ever want to comeback.
Place is nice and cozy. Food is excellent steaks are very juicy, the porter house for 2 was excellent my family has been there a couple of times and never disappointed. The help is excellent very friendly. But it’s pricey but well worth it
Service not great avocado and lobster salads tiny pie e of lobster.
Food and service was excellent! Surprised and disappointed to see a $7.00 charge to pay with a credit card.
Excellent food, fun Tuesday night half price wine list. Service not so attentive on this particular night
We have been to to this place several times before hand. The last time was about 3 years ago. Being from out of town, we were excited to have another great experience. It was not to be had this time. Our waiter was unfriendly, knowledgable, and oft times rude during our service. Way off the game from our past experiences. The expeditor, literally dropped our flatware in front of us rather than placing it in the correct spot with grace. She had an attitute of, "I don't want to be here, and I really don't want you to be here either." I guess there are plenty of high end steak places in the city that will take our money. Sad. Disappointing. Never going back.
Baked clams were wack. Wedge salad is better at Uncle Jacks meathouse. Loaded baked potato just added cheese for $8.00 more than the regular baked potato. The Kobe beef was outstanding, kinda made up for the rest of a forgettable meal. Service was great. Very nice people. I would rather eat at Uncle jacks meathouse in Astoria than the flagship in Manhattan.
I always try to make it to Uncle Jacks when I visit NYC! The food and service are both outstanding
My son & I went to the Knicks game and had a wonderful dinner after at Uncle Jack's. I had been there once before and was very good....it did not disappoint on the second time. We had the porterhouse steak for two, two great sides and two wonderful appetizers. Food was great! Food came out very timely. Only complaint was waiting a bit long for our check...I will be back!
Meat was cooked perfectly! Melt in your mouth! Service was great. I have absolutely no complaints and would recommend this dining experience to anyone who loves steak!
My first experience at Uncle Jack’s was fantastic! The food, service and overall vibe of the restaurant was pleasant. The waiter was prompt, the food didn’t take too long. Overall quality of the food was excellent! We were all blown away. I would love to return to this establishment to treat someone else for a special occasion. I believe they would love it as much as I did.
Sons 18th birthday
Dinner before concert at Madison Square Garden
Very nice atmosphere
We felt lucky to get a 6:00 reservation. Our food was fantastic, the wine selection great, and the restaurant vibe fun. I would recommend and would return if we are in the area again.
We have been to Uncle Jack's before and felt it was the best meal we've ever had. This time was a different experience and it was disappointing. My filet was very undercooked (I ordered medium and got the lightest side of medium rare). Then instead of recooking, they just put the pieces in a pan to cook more. This left the filet well done, medium well, and in one tiny spot, medium. I couldn't believe they would send it out like that. They did take it back again and recook with a new piece. The cauliflower that I normally love was barely roasted so it didn't have that beautiful dark color and depth of flavor. I know that it was off because the table next to us had an amazing looking plate of it. Ours was bland and stringy. Bread, caesar salad, and dessert (mousse) were delicious. Service was very good. It was extremely loud in there and in order to talk both people had to lean forward to the middle of the table, or shout. Neither of which were pleasant. So overall the visit for me was a 2 star but I upped it to 3 because I know they can do better.
Very cold was freezing all night
Very busy so shoved in a tiny corner
Food was lovely
The food was amazing. Everything came out as expected. The atmosphere of the place was calm. Would go out again on a special occasion. Best 21th birthday.
Amazing steal
Fantastic experience as always, our Valentine's day traditional dinner. Love it!
As always the food was superb.
I am a little ashamed to say that my girlfriend likes her steak well done but they always manage to get mine rare and hers out at the same time.
The staff is great.
V-day ♡ food was great little bit of a wait but was worth it !!!
This will most likely be my last trip here. Took my girlfriend out for Valentine’s Day. We were seated by the front of the restaurant. Our appetizer’s were very good. We ordered the maple bacon and shrimp scampi. We had no issues or complaints with that course at all. However, when our main course came we ran into one very big issue. By this time our red wine was colder then my ice water and i could barely feel my feet. The area of the restaurant was freezing. This became an issue with our main course. 2 bites into the mashed potatoes, asparagus and bone in filet mignon and it was beyond cold. The waiter actually brought it back to be warmed up. But how many times will i have it warmed up? After 2-3 bites it felt
Like it was fresh out the fridge. My girlfriend had a garlic butter sauce that wouldn’t even spread due to the steak being so cold. I had the Baconaise which due to the temperature was inedible, it looked like jelly. The waiter did his best and his service was on point. But they shouldn’t have tables that close to the front of the restaurant. The women seated to my left and right had their jackets on the entire meal. Ruined what should have been a very special occasion.
Uncle Jack’s was the perfect place to have dinner on my first night ever in NYC! They accommodated us even though we were delayed, kept our luggage behind the desk, and were very polite. The wait staff was friendly and timely, and the food was amazing!!
Everything was spot on, service, food, drinks....
perfect....but pricey
As usual Uncle Jack's did not disappoint! Had reservations and had to call to hopefully change the arrival time. We were in gridlock traffic from LI to NYC! Although we arrived an hour later than our reservation, and it being Valentine's Day, we were graciously accommodated in a lovely booth for our party of four!
Thank you for a delicious meal......
The decor is getting a bit rough around the edges; due for a refresh perhaps.
Very strong menu.
Delicious food, tasty wine, nice setting, perfect service
Just basic, very Steakhouse basic
Got to the bar at 5:40 Thursday night for a 6pm seating. Bartender recommended Angel Envy Rye..and it was a winner. Advised the hostess that my dinner partner was running a few behind schedule...no problem. The waiter Tony was polished, affable and knowlegeable. Went with the parmesan oregano topping for the hot house baked bread, grilled octopus, oysters Jackefeller, Porter for 2 (Medium) with creamed spinach and garlic mash...Boom! All winners. Great experience overall and Tony is the man!
Excellent meal and service once again at Uncle Jack's. Not inexpensive but overall worth the price as the food and service are high quality. One of my favorite restaurants to dine at in mid-town for a great meal when I'm there on business.
Still a great Porterhouse Steak.
