Always an amazing experience. Martinis are always perfect ice cold and extra dirty as requested. We can't say enough about the amazingly prepared steaks. Truly though the impecable service keeps us coming back to our neighborhood favorite.
Amazing staff .
It's hard to go wrong, the food is excellent, the bacon apps, Wagyu Kobe Meatball apps, all great. 2 Porter houses for 2- 1 med and 1 med rare- exactly as ordered. The staff and service was excellent, polite, there if needed, but not on top of you.
Totally surprised when one of the manager came by with a free desert and said “heard there’s a birthday.”
I only mentioned dinner is for a bday celebration with OpenTable (on the “What’s the occasion” part) but I didn’t indicate anything on the part with special instructions/message to the restaurant and they still noticed that part of the reservation.
Of course free desert was nice but it’s the fact that they picked up that detail and acknowledged it (of course the food was great too) is what put the dinner experience over the edge. 👍👍👍👍👍
We made the reservation on Open Table and the only times available were 5 or 9 pm. - we would have preferred a little later, but decided to go anyway with the earlier choice. We arrived at 5 and the restaurant was empty ( we left at 7 and the restaurant was still mostly empty) The service was excellent ( we were pretty much the only people there, so we would expect that). The food was fine , but not great considering the prices. The sides were definitely small for a steak house. We were especially taken by surprise when the check arrived and there was a fee added to the bill if we wanted to use a credit card. This really turned us against the restaurant. We definitely will not be back.
From the staff to the food is was all amazing. Nothing but great service. Thank you!
Love this place, best food and great service !
The only complaint I would have about our meal was the cost, but that’s what it costs these days for. A proper steakhouse meal out. All the food was great And they even had some “relatively” priced Chianti available. Ok, the sides could have been a little bigger Excellent service and a friendly waiter. A great night out.
One of my favorite places to eat - especially when I wanted to celebrate by birthday. Finally splurged to get the seafood tower... Was not disappointed!!!
Consistently very good (pricey for the neighborhood) steak place!
We had our anniversary dinner there with our 2 kids. It is always a win when you go to this restaurant but unfortunately this time our event was overshadowed by the table next to us. There were two women sitting together who had just ended their meal when man who I think they knew came and sat with them. The waiter who was serving us approached the man and asked him to leave as he was intruding on his meal. The man became angry and started arguing with the waiter until the owner came over. The man stayed and eventually the women went to the bar with him and started doing shots. The whole thing was weird but it was also intrusive on our meal as the tables are usually on top of each other. I expect this kind of behavior in NYC and it does not surprise me as the majority of the people here really don't care about anyone but themselves but when you are paying over $300 for a meal...it is a nuisance. The food was great and the service better but I don't think I will visit a restaurant any longer whose tables are so close together.
Excellent food. Excellent service!!! One of my absolute favorite restaurants.
The experience was great and we loved the food.
Valentines Day, 2020 was not a good experience at Uncle Jacks Steakhouse: our favorite go-to place for special occasions. The waitstaff was plentiful but the kitchen chefs seemed to be out of sorts. The kitchen just couldn’t handle the demands of the full-house packed restaurant. Steak fries were burnt to the crisp to the point of being inedible. My filet mignon was rare when I requested medium. Of all the steakhouses to pick on Valentines Day, We chose Uncle Jacks Steakhouse hoping for a tried and true experience. $250 spent for food that couldn’t be consumed. Uncle Willy, your kitchen staff are losing their edge which almost put me over the edge.
The food was good but the amount was very small compared to the prices. I expected my filet minion to be perfection but was disappointed. It was a bit chewy. The appetizers and dessert were good. I would probably be paying half the amount of money for double the amount of food at another restaurant.
Great meal, excellent and courteous service
Very below average steakhouse. The waiter was horrible. Everytine we asked for a drink it took 20 minutes to get to us. And when the food came out the waiter never came by to see if everything was ok. The food was below average as well. The drinks were terrible. Steak was cooked as I asked but nothing to rave about. The apps were not good. Cheese cake horrible. Won’t be returning.
Food and server were fantastic. Unfortunately the bartender took 20min to prepare a few drinks. I noticed that even the waiter was trying to get the drinks prepared faster. There seemed to be a few regulars and the bartender seemed to favor them. Nonetheless, the waiter apologized and offered us dessert on the house. I will definitely be back again, and will make sure that I ask for my drinks to be brought out quickly.
Steaks were high very quality cooked to perfection. Apps were brought out quickly and the waiter was very attentive and professional.
Sides were also delicious as served hot.
Took my husband to Uncle Jack’s Steakhouse for his birthday with two friends and we had such a wonderful time. The major dee took care of us himself and he was extremely gracious and accommodating. Had staff sing “Happy Birthday”, and brought us a delicious chocolate pastry desert to celebrate. The food, potter house steaks for two and sirloins were out of this world. Perfectly cooked and so delicious!!! The maple bacon appetizer was one of the best I have had. A wonderful evening with amazing food. Will return to Uncle Jack’s again and again!!!
Awesome dining experience. Was surprised with a birthday dessert. Wasn’t expecting it. Just shows that some restaurants really do pay attention to detail when you book through Open Table and go above and beyond to make the customer feel special.
Always a great time at Uncle Jack’s. They made celebrating our Anniversary very special.
Uncle Jack's Steakhouse- our all time favorite restaurant! Even though we live about 2 hours away, we still make our way down for the best food & service!
My third visit here and they didn't disappoint. Service was Eggcelent, steaks superb. My son's had the new york strip steaks, I had the filet mignon. They were cooked perfectly, much better quality cuts than other steakhouses I've visited in Nassau County. Honestly it's hard to remember the sides, I'm pretty sure we had some sort of garlic mashed potatoes which were excellent as well. I'd consider going there just to pick up sides for a home cooked meal.
Fun time at the bar. Good food.
Everything was perfect.
Valet parking was great, our table was waiting for us, the waiter was outstanding and the food was awesome.
Will be back soon.
Food and Liquor is top shelf.
I was there for a business dinner meeting and so Service and selection is very important.
I would call this "old school" steak house with a good cognac and wine selection.
Woefully expensive in terms of quality of meal. First bite of the premier porterhouse for two was utterly average. You know that a meal was uninspiring and way too expensive when the bill arrives and you think to yourself, “What was I thinking coming here?”
Only negative-was charged a fee for using credit card as payment
Great time n service as always. Always the best here.
Great burgers great service great ambiance
By the way why no points?
Our traditional Christmas Eve celebration!
Uncle Jack’s never disappoints!!
Have been coming here for over 20yrs. Everything is always on point, service is amazing and the steaks are to die for!!!
Went to UJ because we wanted a top steak and the location was prefect for our group. In our party of 3, we had one 16oz NY Strip which was good but nothing special at $55, one 12oz NY Strip $42 which was just ok and was much thinner than the 16oz. In the past at other restaurants, smaller weight NY Strips at just as thick, but not as long. The third meal was a tomahawk steak $75 which was large but nothing so good, certainly not worth the cost. I wont go back to this place as there are a zillion better steak houses at these costs, this one was better than Outback only for the atmosphere and attentive service from our waiter.
I have a client that I took here for the Holiday Season last year, and it was great. This year I gave her the option, and she chose Uncle Jack's. Enough said! The staff, food and setting is well worth the trip!
Food was good but prices excessively high for portion sizes and quality. Be careful of the Specials for the evening, pricing was outrageous. Sides were delicious but also very expensive and small portion sizes. Would recommend to friends, but would caution them that value is not necessarily there.
It was amazing! Our waiter was the nicest person. He really took care of us. The food was exquisite! The steak was well cooked along with the sides. We got the filet mignon, ny strip, creamed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes, and the bacon corn brulee. I highly suggest the bacon corn brulee it is an amazing taste of both sweet and savory. Definitely will go again.
Great experience. The food was delicious! The service was amazing. Definitely looking forward to going back sooner than later.
Service was spotty. Long wait for the waiter to get dessert and the check. It appears there is not enough wait staff in the restaurant. Which the reason why the steaks came out warm at best
2nd time I was disappointed at this restaurant
Service never disappointing, foods appetizers was good except the octopus. The steaks porterhouse was excellent, the yappa dappa doo 44oz was okay (Would of love to seen it cooked with the bone) The desert banana creme and chocolate sulfate was delicious. Good selection on wines. Had 2 bottles. Overall I would come back.
