Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

Food was overpriced. Outside seating was nice, but service was so slow! Will not go back since food was just so-so (one of their raw oysters was not fresh and I had to spit it out).

Food and our waitress were amazing!! The noise level were far from a relaxing , enjoyable dinner . The parking and valet were horrifying. Food and the oysters were beyond amazing.

Service was really good and the food was outstanding! The place was packed and we sat on the second level so the volume was not nearly as loud as the first floor. We chose the barbeqoa shrimp and three of us split the seafood risotto. We ended with the maple bacon ice cream. Every mouthful was a delight. Thank you so much! We will be back!

Dinner at Ulele never disappoints and last night was no exception. Greeted by our favorite server, April, we had another special birthday occasion. The Manager Mike took time to come visit with us, knowing how to make patrons feel special. Our drinks were delicious followed by our go to favorite, okra fries. Even if you don't think you like okra, these fries are worth trying. My husband enjoyed his gouda grouper and I ordered the delicious redfish entree. Ulele is located in the heart of Tampa's waterfront Armature Works which is high energy, safe, with a positive vibe for all ages. The drink and food menu offer a variety of choices, with an extensive wine and cocktail list worth trying. And the price is an incredible value when you consider atmosphere, service, food quality, and total experience. Once again, our favorite restaurant in Tampa!

Great food, entertaining atmosphere, exceptional service from Lennon!! Ordered the filet mignon and it came out over cooked, Lennon noticed it right away and had us a perfect medium temp filet on the table in less than 5 minutes. I like my service well done and my steaks medium!! Great job Ulele, we will be back soon!

First time dining here. Extremely impressed, ambiance was excellent. Loved the indoor outdoor experience. Food was delicious. Okra, gator and calamari apps all were excellent. Tomahawk pork chop absolutely delicious. Filet mignon perfectly cooked. Excellent drinks. Definitely will be visiting again when back in town, highly recommend.

A beautiful Florida day so my wife & I chose to eat outside. Our waitress, Melanie was fabulous. She was versed in the menu and guided my wife & I through it. The food was fabulous? If you’re a fan of Key Lime pie ya gotta give there’s a try. It’s the best!

made reservation for booth in quiet spot; however, when I got there booth not available. Hostess sat my guest and I at a loud table near front of door - we asked to move and we offered to WAIT for a booth like we made reservation for. Hostess then told us that they do not reserve booths for 2 people - (it was 2;00 and restaurant was half full) - We were then seated next to fire alarm and window table, with air conditioning blowing directly on us - it was 73 degrees outside - We were also surrounded by several other tables that were full - not very quiet like we requested) The sun was shinning directly in my face - we did ask the server if the shades could be lowered and they did accommodate that request. Food was good, server was attentive, knowledgeable, good. Hostess staff (3 -4 of them standing at the front - two were on their phones)

The place is packed both floors and outdoor garden even on weeekdays. Food service is slow due to big crowds and not enough kitchen service. Other than that, it is excellent.

If not for the noise, I would return in a heartbeat. The food and service were exceptional, but due to the building's acoustics, the noise level was unbearable.

We are sorry that the noise level in the restaurant distracted from your dining experience. We do have hidden sound absorbing materials placed throughout the dining room but still face our challenges being in a brick building with an open kitchen. Weather permitting, we suggest an outdoor table for your next visit. There are heaters outdoors in the colder months.

Ulele was amazing. The service was great. Good was excellent. My daughter ordered the Guda grouper and I ordered the Seafood risotto. Both choices were delicious. I would definitely go back again.

Okay, I was supposed to meet someone there but they didn’t show….I stayed anyway. First, the drink was awesome The work of art, appetiser green fried tomatoes, awesome too then I had coconut ice cream it was good but needed more coconut….then I had the classic burger with fries and it was very good. Over all I would go again!!! Wish they had cameras in their private parking lot though, my car was hit by somebody, ugh.

I have not been back for over a year. The drinks were great, and old fashioned and Charles Krug Cabernet. The menu does not seem to have changed at all for years. The okra fries were not as good as I remember. I had the sliced steak which was tasty and a good size serving, and my other half had mahi-mahi which he said was just ok. Our waitress was excellent. The acoustics is terrible, making talking difficult. I would go back for drinks.

There are actually new items that have been added in the past few weeks (fried green tomato BLT appetizer, oyster sliders, soft shell crab, bourbon butter cake, etc.) We hope that you will return in the future to try a few of them.

Had the Mahi, it was extremely dry. This is the first time I e ever had a poor meal at Ulele. We always have great food and service, this was an exception

Ulele never lets you down. Reservations were made and we were seated quickly. I hade the Pompano which is my favorite dish there. My friend had a burger and said it was great as well. Love the view.

The entres were really great! The appetizers were below average (alligator tails were tough, almost rubbery and the oyster sliders were decent, I liked the pickling flavor). There were too many errors with our service...a side salad was forgotten and came after the entre was received and one of the entres came almost when the rest of us were almost (practically) done eating. Too many excuses for a table of 4. It was my first time at Ulele. Outside of everything negative, the entres tasted amazing, balanced seasoning.

I cleaned my plates: Oyster sliders; crackling pork shank; key lime pie. Everything was perfectly cooked. Our server was engaged, upbeat and helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

I got a raise at work, so we went to dinner at Ulele to celebrate. It was a great meal, but our waitress made it fabulous. She asked if we were celebrating anything, so I told her. While we were eating, she had the staff sign a congratulations card and brought me a box of their house made truffles. You rock, Erika !
