I had family come down from New York and we all had a blast and the food was amazing!
Took a group of 7 for dinner for 2 sweet 16 brats. The girls loved the location and the atmosphere. Service was great! Changed my reservation at the last minute from 6 to 7 people and they were happy to help accommodate my last minute change.
Food was outstanding. And the service was amazing.
The food is always prepared well and tastes good. I had the stuffed shrimp - which was in a creamy sauce and had bits of lobster. I requested the spinach instead of the green beans which was the best choice. My husband and son-in-law both had the filet topped with crab meat. A nice sized portion and perfectly cooked. We all had the street corn - which is a must for anyone! We were seated on the main floor in a booth which gave us plenty of room. I always like the industrial vibe, but the acoustics are not so good. It isn't a place for a quiet conversation - I feel like I have to raise my voice to be heard. Other than that, this restaurant is a must go to, if you are in the Tampa are. You will not be disappointed.
Great location downtown Tampa! Service was excellent. The jalapeno corn muffins were delicious.
The homemade ice cream was out of this world! Took the advice of the server and it was awesome.
Great gem and part of the Columbia Restaurant family. Was not disappointed!!
I have eaten here many times and love the entire ambiance and the great menu. This time, however, the heat inside was almost unbearable. There is no point in dining in a place when sweat is rolling down your back.
The past two times I have asked for the fried carrots as an appetizer. Both times they came with the meal. I'm not sure what the disconnect is with this.
Finally, this time especially, our waiter was often nowhere to be found. Waiting 15+ minutes for a drink refill is unacceptable. Our reservation was 5PM on a Sunday - busy, but not crazy. It shouldn't have been this frenetic.
Service was amazing, Jamie was awesome. Food was absolutely delicious. We will come back often.
Ulele is great overall. Such a different ambiance and menu to explore.
Management needs to do something about the air conditioning. The place was extremely hot. Even the waiter was sweeting and that is not a good look for someone serving your food. It was hot upstairs and downstairs. I can see patrons trying to find themselves with the menus. I will not return until the air conditioning problem is fixed.
Wonderful place to go to with your friends or your other half, food and drinks are amazing and the service is excellent!
Very unique menu with each item having a "twist" to the way it is prepared. Excellent execution of each item ordered. Ulelu was definitely an awesome experience that lived up to its native flavors selections. We look forward to returning!
Awesome (as always)!
Came in to celebrate my birthday with my husband. We were seated immediately and received friendly service from the host and our server.
Food was amazing as were the drinks and despite being very busy, everything came out perfect in a timely manner.
Unique setting and will definitely be back :)
Ulele is always awesome! Food & service spectacular! Celebrated an anniversary & birthday!
I went there for my birthday,So Happy I picked this place ,Everything was awesome,From the service ,to the dessert ( homemade ice cream)
Great place for your birthday lunch with great friends.
Nothing bad to say. Loved everything about it from the perfect drinks to outstanding food and service. Highly recommend if you're in the Tampa area. Wish I could add more photos!
We ate here a few month ago and it was nice so we came back this time for our 30th wedding aniversery but all I could taste was salt, Way too salty. The chef should know if the customer wants salt they can add it on their own but can't remove it when too salty. That is why it is on the table. Paper straws ruin the flavor of the tea. Waitress never asked to refill our drinks, which I needed because of the over salting of the food. The fried okra was burnt. The chocolate truffles that they gave us for our aniversary were good though.
A little bit too hot on the second floor but the service and food were great
Overall the experience was excellent. However, it was warm and smoky (from the grill) in the main dining room. At a minimum they should have turned up A/C in dining room.
Delicious meal every time! Great service! Little loud but wonderful environment!
Ulele is a perennial favorite, and this visit did not disappoint. We started with beers brewed in-house, the Wedding beer and a red lager. Both were good and fairly reasonably priced. Our entrees were excellent. I had the fire-roasted chicken which is a delightful combination of flavors with saffron risotto & tomatoes in a lemon basil sauce. It also includes a side of garlic spinach. It is unthinkable to go to Ulele and not have some of the homemade ice cream. It is one of the best dessert bargains in Tampa Bay at $5 for 2 scoops. It is deliciously rich and creamy and perfectly refreshing on a hot summer evening in Florida. Afterward dinner we took a relaxing stroll along the Riverwalk. There's a reason this restaurant is always busy!
GreatFood!! Service not so good... A/C must have been broken as it was very hot! However, the food was amazing!!!
The place is beautiful inside and outside, the menu is complete with options for everyone, the food is excellent and the price is reasonable for the quality of the food. Our experience, however, was not enjoyable. The service was incredibly slow and on at least one occasion rude - example, when I asked where my glass of wine was I was brusquely told it had been entered into the system but wine is not poured right away. We made a reservation yet our table was still in a traffic route to the bathrooms and kitchen and the noise around our table made it difficult to hold a conversation. Additionally the room temperature was too high for comfort; not only us but several people around us were using their menus as fans, and yes, we were sitting inside.
Almost perfect; it's too warm upstairs. I understand management is currently correcting this problem.
Made a reservation, they seated us upstairs and it was extremely hot in the restaurant, waiter said there was a problem with the air conditioner. They offered nothing, no appetizer or drinks on the house for the discomfort and inconvenience of eating while sweating. This was one of our go to restaurants in Tampa, not anymore.
The Server was a little cold on the beginning but became very nice after all.
We ordered 2 dishes, one was amazing the other was only good.
Drinks were perfect.
Ulele is probably my favorite restaurant in tampa. The food was great Saturday night. But quite frankly, I think patrons should have been advised in advance that the air conditioner was not working. Our dinner - on the second floor- was very uncomfortable. And the experience was diminished as a result. Highly disappointing.
Amazing as always. From entrance to seating. Service was great and food was great. One of the many appetizers and meals was disappointing but was fixed instantly and upgraded.
Birthday and received a very nice box of Chocolates...so nice! Our Server was super good. Love Ulele’s
We decided to take our 4 kids out to lunch at Ulele and it was a very pleasant experience. We enjoyed the Lowry Park Zoo statues, which I grew up with! We then went inside and they were very gracious to give us a booth as we have three year old twins who need to be in the middle! Server was amazing. She was so patient and had a great sense of humor! Overall, the food was amazing! The scallops were cooked perfectly. My husband loves the shrimp po’boy. Our girls all enjoyed their lunch and ice cream. Overall, it was a wonderful visit and we plan on coming again!
They keep it way to warm inside. I was sweating the entire time. It was miserable eating there regardless of the food. It must have been like 80 degrees in there! Aside from that, beautiful atmosphere and good food. I hope it's not always that hot in there!
Wonderful view at sunset with great food and drinks, try the mojoto!
My husband ordered the seafood rissoto which was one of the more expensive menu items. It has lobster, crab, scallops and shrimp. The portion was generous and while she said it was a touch salty, overall he was pleased with the dish. I ordered the three sisters stuffed mushroom. The mushroom itself was delicious, although a bit small. Most of the dish was rice which was bland. I feel if they had seasoned the rice differently or served bigger/morre mushrooms, this dish would be good. We had the bacon, maple, Bourbon ice cream for dessert and all I can say is Omg you need to get this! Huge portion easily enough for 2 or 3 people. It's mid range expensive. We spent about $65 for two people, no alcoholic beverages, 1 soda, 2 main courses and a dessert. It will get pricier if you order drinks from the bar.
The service was top notch. It was busy, but our server was very attentive. He was funny and engaging while not being intrusive. Seems like they train their staff well.
The ambiance is very good. Our table inside had a view of the water and that was enjoyable. The noise level was acceptable. You hear the other tables but can't make out what anyone is speaking about. It's a nice place to gather with friends or go on a date. You can take a stroll down by the river after dinner or play games on the lawn. It's a nice location which was made even nicer by the free valet parking that they offer!
I definitely recommend a visit to Ulele, but make sure you make reservations. We went in the summer which is the "slow" time of the year. I made reservations the night before and the only spot they had available was 5:45! So plan ahead. I think you will be pleased.
Always a great experience!
Very nice place with quality food and drinks. I famous spot that locals and visitors like alike. Recommend eating indoors to get the full menu, but also has good limited menu if stopping in from River Walk. Nice spot!
Fantastic service and great food - very loud and vibrant
It was very hot and loud upstairs. The food was great! We had the sea bass
Dinner with Alabama cousins!! Pre vacation and pre honeymoon for L&T.
Beautiful restaurant and scenery, nice location, friendly service but the menu and food below my expectations. I was disappointed with the menu, as the food was bland and insipid. My first and last visit.
