Simply amazing

Food was awesom, but if you want to wait 20 minutes per dish (2 pieces of sushi) then be prepared to be there an hour and 45 minutes. My food didnt even come out in the order I wanted. Why did I get my seaweed salad last? I dont know why. You know what took 5 minutes to bring out? My check. I'll try it again, but I have my doubts.

Didnt find one item on the menu I tried that I didn't like. Great tasting sushi and service was spot on. As soon as one item was done the next item was on its way like a meal coarse. There was never a long amount of time waiting for the next course.

Wonderful service and atmosphere. Oh yeah, and the food was out of this world. Our server did a great job creating our experience and helping us pick out sushi. Uchiko is our favorite restaurant and we will continue to dine with them for years to come.

Amazing food and outstanding service. My partner and I brought my Mother for a special dinner, who flew into town to visit for Mother's Day. My Mother and I both grew up in Seattle, WA and have been spoiled with amazing seafood and sushi, we were not at all disappointed by Uchiko. My Mother has a peanut allergy and everyone was more than accommodating. In addition to outstanding customer service we received complimentary dishes for the occasion, which keeps us coming back. I'll continue to celebrate all of my annual special occasions at Uchiko.

It was very noisy. Our waitress was very busy with a big table. We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary.

Truly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Unique but simple dishes that are well balanced. Fantastic service and knowledgeable wait staff who know how to make recommendations. This is a must do restaurant in Austin even for non-sushi lovers.

Came here with a date. We made reservations, arrived a few minutes early, and were seated immediately. We ordered Omakase to save ourselves decision making. Our waitress was so down to earth and pleasant to talk to. The food needless to say was mesmerizing: for my date who had just come in from California, a wonderful introduction to the Austin food scene.

Uchiko is always stellar from the service, the phenomenal food and the ambience. We always leave impressed with a new dish we've tried. Sunday was no different, with us wondering how they made the kale so addictive. Our standbys are the hama crudo and the eggplant tempura but we've never ever had anything less than wow.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have any of those OMG moments that you look forward to at a great and pricey sushi bar. It was all good, but nothing memorable. We didn’t think it came close to Sushi Ran in Sausalito, our local choice for dropping a few hundred bucks on sushi. I also can’t quite figure out how I drank four sakes and didn’t even have a buzz. But it’s hugely popular and everybody loves it, so this is just my two cents. We sat at the bar, service was good

We originally went 2 years ago and it was so f’n good I have been dreaming of our return to Austin. It’s hard to fathom a time I’d come back to Austin and not go here. Our waiter Brandon was phenomenal and spoke knowledgeably on each item we were ordering or thinking of ordering. Ended up being a 3+ hour meal and worth every second and penny we spent. Seriously, lived up to our own hype.

Fabulous as always! The staff really listen to you and your likes if you share. And their recommendations have never disappointed. Some of my favorites are the ham and egg roll and of course every piece of sashimi is exquisite! Cannot leave with out milk and cereal for dessert!

One of the few places you go to where you should NOT look at the menu and allow your server to pick out items for you to try. We have been doing this for more than 7 years and have never had a dish that we did not like. Sensational food.

The food was beautiful and fun to eat. The sushi and sashimi were delightful and fun to share in our party of three. Loved cooking the Wagyu beef on a hot rock. And the pork jowl was like a dessert. And speaking of dessert, our wait person treated us to three free sorbets.
Service was wonderful. The staff works as a team to see that everyone at the table gets what they need. Even the general manager helps out and stops by to see how everything is.

Amazing as always. Food is amazing, though the service is slipping just a bit. Even just a few years ago, each dish was presented with such enthusiasm. I would tell people to visit, not just for the food, but the experience of the wait staff. Now that part is gone. Still better than 90% of the establishments out there, but now I omit that part from my description.

I have heard Uchiko is a great restaurant to eat some sushi and drink some wine. Everything was great except our service wasn't too good. She seemed very unprofessional and seemed like she wasn't enjoying what she was doing. I would recommend this restaurant to my acquaintance but with her service I would not recommend.
