Unbelievably delicious sushi. OMG I can't say enough about it. We have been several times but it's been awhile and I had forgotten just how mind blowingly good everything is. Highlight was the rib eye with oyster sauce and brocolini and the fried chicken. Everything was out of this world but those two blew me away.

Uchiko is a great restaurant and one of our top likes in Austin. Always great food and very interesting and tasty choices. Great and friendly service. Certainly one of the top two restaurants in Austin (Uchi being the other), particularly for Japanese. The only negative is the noise, lively place but difficult to hear for older folks. Top notch all the way! Expensive but worth it.

Wonderful food and terrific service! Super vegetarian options. The waiter knew the menu inside and out and was able to make great recommendations. My husband and I both said this is one of the best meals we've ever eaten!

This was my second time dining here, so I decided to leave a review this time. This time I brought my husband, who is the pickiest eater I know. His favorite foods are chicken tenders and hamburgers, so I wasn't sure this would go well, but EVERYONE was impressed. Every dish we had was top notch and extremely high quality. My husband who doesn't eat pork and loathes sushi was forced to try my favorite dish, the ham and egg roll. He ate half of it! Long story short, even if you see this menu and things sound to exotic for you... try it anyway. There are some crazy good things here and the service is impressive. Also, get the milk and cereal dessert!!

Let's start with the food is pretty phenomenal. However, the coursing was SO weird. Since the plates are tiny, it takes about 30 seconds to eat everything, and there was way too much time in between. It was like a tease to my tummy. We didn't see the server much, but she did notice that we didn't really eat any of Take Nabe (way too salty), which she offered to take off the bill (appreciated!) Sometimes it is nice to enjoy a long meal, but this was a little much. Next time I may tell the server to bring everything out all as ready!

You must must must try the gyutoro nigiri, and the coffee bacon. The Hama chili on the sake social (happy hour) was very good and so was the Jasmine cream dessert. My favorite sushi roll was the shag roll, but I would recommend saving room for other dishes, and skipping the rolls. Although the shag roll was pretty darn good.

Made a reservation for my wife’s bday celebration. It was our 1st time and we were blown away , food , service and atmosphere where awesome! Two thumbs up .

We went for my husband's Birthday and ordered the chef's tasting menu. It was fabulous! We will definitely be back. We have always ordered the tasting menu and would highly advise it to get the full effect of the diversity and creativity of the chef and the restaurant.

I took my girlfriend for her birthday and ordered the chef's tasting. All ten courses were exceptional with one of our favorites being the sushi rice, enoki mushrooms, bonito flakes, and egg. Marco was the perfect server for our night. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was attentive without being too aggressive.

We went to Uchiko for my wife's birthday dinner, and it was fantastic! We are always impressed with the consistent quality and customer service we get here. The food is always delicious, there is always something new to try, and the friendliness and service is top-notch. They even comped us a few bites and a dessert in honor of my wife's birthday! We will keep coming back to Uchiko for other special occasions.

Wonderful food as always. Loved the Brussels Sprouts and the eggplant. Very yummy banana sorbet as well. The Milk and Cereal dessert was amazing.
