Third Anniversary dinner. Reservations at 9:45. Packed house and very loud. Relaxed scene though. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable! Our first time here and we felt like pros by the end of the night. Highly recommend!! Great for groups too.
Uchiko never disappoints! Each dish is a mini work of art and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
The food was excellent. Our waiter explained the menu and made great suggestions based on our likes and dislikes. The service was very good and all in all, worth another visit .
Excellent sushi; very creative menu. Always a fun night out.
Uchiko knocked it out if the ballpark again!
Everything was delicious & the pace was perfect!
Thank you for making out birthday celebration so perfect!!!!
I really did not enjoy the food. We got the tasting menu, omikase, and the majority of dishes were flavorless. The lamb course was extremely disappointing on flavor and I expected more given it was $50 for 2 small pieces. Out of 10 or so courses, not one single dish stands out to me. The bill came to $700 for 4 people and I was honestly shocked by that. It was a lot of money to pay to be so disappointed by the food. I would not recommend this restaurant at all, and will not be back.
We had a reservation for 10:30pm and went around 8p to have drinks and appetizers in hopes to get a table earlier, which we gratefully did! The atmosphere was buzzing and beautiful, the food was spectacular, and our waiter was witty, memorable, and took great care of our group. Always amazed that Uchiko continues to blow my mind and satisfy my stomach in all the right ways. ⭐️
Once again everything was delicious! This place never lets us down. The service is always on point and the food was amazing. A little pricy but worth every dollar, you get what you pay for.
Food was good. Much enjoyed..
Great in every way!
Our waiter seemed very new and not as in tuned with the menu and wine
Enjoy dining in the bar area as it is not as loud. Thanks for accommodating.
Best quality sushi in the World. Just Go!
Great as always
Parker is the best server in Texas. He knows more about fishes than Poseidon. Dude was quick. Fast as lightening. I was so satisfied, I would have offered my wife for the night if I didn’t think he could already have any woman he wanted. I went to uchiko a boy. I left a boy as well but a boy with a hero. Thank you Parker.
Uchiko is My family's favorite restaurant in Austin!
Great service. Best if you order multiple shareable dishes.
Always on point. Foie nigiri, crab nigiri, pork rib w peaches were all highlights.
Julia was great(parker was great last time!) the food was delicious as always! I keep coming here Bc the service is always on point-I work in the industry as well and this is my favorite place to be on the receiving end of what I do-it keeps me sane! The scallop special was insanely yummy and the new banana bread dessert has replaced the fried milk as my fave!
Spotty service from start to finish. We had a last minute but super early Monday night reservation and the restaurant was nowhere near full, but despite saying we were celebrating our wedding anniversary in the reservation, we were still seated in the loud bar. I asked to move to a quieter table and they kindly obliged. Our waitperson was excellent and helpful, but there were a total of maybe 5 people who waited on our table, and it did not make for a better experience. For instance, the first dish that came out was not one we’d ordered. We told them that and it was whisked away, then brought back as a freebie because it was a mistake (after it was offered to another table who also said it was a mistake.) Nice enough, just weird and not what I’d expect at this price point. The small mistakes and discrepancies continued...another dish was in ponzu, about which our waitperson advised “one of you should drink it.” Cool. Too bad it was whisked away immediately by another overeager staff member, before we could even protest! We didn’t get two things we ordered, one of which they acknowledged and brought out to us, the other one they said we’d gotten...although I don’t know how our waitperson was so sure, as she did not deliver many of the dishes we ordered. The weirdest thing was at the end; we ordered two pieces of scallop nigiri, and it was delivered, along with two pieces of snow crab nigiri that were courtesy of our waitperson, for our anniversary. Super nice, right? However, here’s how it was presented: “Here’s the snow crab dish you ordered (no, we didn’t), plus two pieces of a scallop dish courtesy of your waitperson for your anniversary.” Whatever, still nice and we appreciated it. Then, our waitperson comes back and says, “which of the scallops did you like better?” She looked at me quizzically when I told her that we received the snow crab, then said “that was a mistake, you were supposed to receive two scallop dishes.” Ooookay.
The food itself was superb!
I had the best time at uchiko. If I only ate one thing in Austin, it’d be uchiko. You can’t go wrong with anything on this menu
Amazing food, just wish it was cheaper so i could go more often.
Louder than I remember it, but maybe it was because we were seated in the front / bar area as opposed to the main restaurant. Great food, but I can save $100 and get a similar experience elsewhere.
Amazing as always! Unstoppable quality and service was incredible.
Amazing food.. best sushi in town .. super amazing sushi chef and sake recommendations..
I was severely disappointed. My wife had been here before and was very excited to take me. The server was visibly irritated repeatedly with other situations. It took 15 minutes to be greeted. It was 35 minutes before anything other than water touched the table. Several of the recommendations were bland, one of which was in edible. I mentioned all of this to our server, he did nothing to apologize, address, or notify anybody of our distaste for a portion of our meal. It was such a disappointing evening, we went to a different restaurant immediately after this… To salvage our date night. Had heard about this restaurant for a number of years, have zero interest in returning.
Great food and service.
Our Server was incredible, and the restaurant really made our celebration special. So glad this is was the place we chose to spend our anniversary at! Incredible food, incredible service and ambiance! We can’t wait to come back.
We sat at the bar. Dan one of the sushi chefs was our personal guy. He was excellent in preparing the dishes and making suggestions or explaining terms. Overall great night wait staff were excellent. Unobtrusive, but very attentive.
Love the ambience of Uchiko, the sever really created a beautiful journey of food for my partner and took care of us! The food was beyond delicious and was all over a phenomenal experience. Can’t wait to be back soon.
Outstanding! Whenever I visit Austin, I try to book a reservation. The fish is fresh, the dishes are inventive, the service is impeccable.
We lived our first experience at Uchiko. The food was just out of the world. The service was good for most of the part, we did find it strange that a started dish was served right at the end and there was a gap of almost 15 mins between the dishes. The sushi rolls came in quicker. There was also a 10-15 mins for the dessert. May be we should’ve been told about the wait. Other than that it was memorable experience.
Outstanding service and delicious as always. Our waiter suggested a number of new dishes and drinks that became some of our new favorites.
Uchiko is exceptional! Try to sit at the sushi bar unless you want the omakase.
Outstanding wine list plus service. Always great!
We took another couple that had never been before & they were extremely impressed - & they are not easily impressed. Instead of ordering off the menu, we let our waitress bring items she thought we would enjoy & she nailed it! Can't wait to go back!
Excellent as usual; flavor and texture combinations typically outstanding, service was great as always.
Always a treat.
Great service. Great food
Uchiko is one of my favorite places to eat in Austin. Consistently amazing waitstaff, good food and their daily specials are always unique. Save room for their desserts!
Outstanding food. The quality of ingredients is amazing!
We loved this place! We had the Chef’s Special (10 course dinner) and it was delicious. We went with an open mind to try different things and we were not disappointed. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and tailored our plates to what we had told him we preferred. It’s pricey, but definitely worth it.
