We had an amazing night sampling an array of creative sushi dishes. Our waiter, Matt, took excellent care of us in addition to the other friendly servers who presented each course with helpful explanations. Very welcoming atmosphere.

Happy hour sushi menu was decent but was expecting a little more enticing sushi. We tried every single happy hour entree/snack and nothing wowed us. The nigori sake was way overpriced for the brand and oz, even for happy hour

Tasting menu was wonderful as always. Restaurant was unusually loud. table close to us was very drunk and loud, literally, taking off clothes at the table. They probably should have cut them off but continued to serve them and they became a pretty big disturbance. Not want you want to go along with a nice special occasion expensive meal.

This was a first time at Uchi for both me and my friend (whose birthday we were celebrating) - lived up to the hype for both of us! Extremely good food, nice cozy yet elegant environment, and we could not have asked for a better server. Amy was easy to talk to and extremely helpful when it came to the menu; we pretty much got everything she recommended and did not regret it. Would definitely come here again!

My wife & I celebrated 4 consecutive birthdays here and have not been disappointed yet. The service is flawless, every single server down to those who came by the table to drop off a plate wished my wife happy birthday. The food is phenomenal, can't beat it in my book. This is a must eat place & the price tag is absolutely worth it!

So fun. My daughter and I went for social hour. Excellent menu. We made reservations for 5pm. great flavors. We ordered off the happy hour menu. The service was wonderful, happy, and attentive. I was expecting more raw fish sashimi- the combinations of flavors and sushi that we had was lovely. Will be thrilled to return.

Excellent food and ambience. We had a 10:15 res and had to wait 20min to be seated which wasn’t great. Otherwise superb. I’ve been to the Houston uchi twice and the dallas uchi 4 times. I highly recommend.

Three of the four of our party had been to Uchi before & knew we loved it! The other member wanted to be with us but was VERY reluctant to try the chef’s choice menu. Our wonderful waiter asked permission to bring one dish & if he didn’t like it, he could say “no more”. Amazingly, the waiter was patient & asked great questions & our friend is ready to try Uchi again!!!!

Good but not up to their normal great. The branzino (sea bass) - tho cooked - was very fishy. And it was the most expensive dish we had. Not up to their typical high standard. Disappointing.

This must be my 50th visit to Uchi since they’ve opened in Houston. This particular visit was a huge miss on the service for me and my friends. We did not feel welcomed and our waiter seemed to be in a rush or fidgety whenever we ordered food. He had a tone with us that showed his impatience and his service was sloppy. He never wiped our table after some hands on messy dishes were finished. He then proceeded to put new silverware on the dirty table. He also didn’t bring out the coffee nor tea with the desserts but well after when we were done. In addition, he spilled coffee completely on one of the saucers of the cup and did not offer to replace it. We will not be requesting him next time.

I am not a fan of sushi, so I have avoided Uchi in the past. Was I wrong! We were all unfamiliar with the menu so our wait staff suggested we let her pick out the menu. We explained our likes and dislikes, and she was spot on! The most exciting meal I have had in years. I'm hooked!

The best meal I've ever had. We gave our waiter, Kyle, a budget and let him order for us! He nailed it. You have to be willing to try new things and to eat out of your comfort zone. I promise if you do, it will be well worth it! I can't wait to go back again!

I love the food but it is ridiculously expensive. A two-bite dish is $7-10 which makes it cost prohibitive for a return visit.

We were celebrating a new job. Uchi did so much to take care of us. We were brought not one, not two, but three dishes that were complimentary to help celebrate. Total value of the 3 dishes we were surprised with was probably $40. We were blown away that we would be given these dishes as gifts because they were expensive. I really couldn't believe a restaurant would be that generous. It was so nice and we were so appreciative. This is a wonderful place to celebrate something big.

The quality of the food was outstanding. The dishes were all so innovative and creative. Each dish is carefully curated and really pairs together surprising ingredients you would not expect but go together beautifully. Very well done compositions and plates of art. Service was also great. Our server was so kind and brought out the dishes for us. She was also very well knowledgeable and explained the menu to us well. Thanks to Anja.

Very creative food centric place, that is all over the board. 3 different menus with a lot of items that are confusing to navigate, although our waitress was very helpful. The fish was extremely fresh and a lot of very different dishes. Think sushi bar meets Beni Hanna meets French Indian.

Food was absolutely fantastic and the service was perfect. However, that comes at a price. It is VERY expensive for the amount of food you get but the ingredients are second to none and the dishes are very well put together with excellent flavor and texture. Parking? Nothing against Uchi as it's fairly common practice in Houston but I can't stand forced valet. With that said, I didn't have any issues with their valet.

I am a very frequent traveler. Visited 7 countries in the past 2 years, flown over 350,000 miles in that time, and I’ve eaten at MANY supposedly high-class restaurants.

That being said, this was simply the best food, service, and meal I can ever recall. Foods I thought I already liked, they cooked it and I loved it more than I thought possible. Foods that I thought I did not like, their version was incredible and made me wish I had eaten their version first. I tried things I have never had in my life there and I do not regret letting their creative juices run on making me something based off similar foods I had a knack for.

The service was very timely, with multiple people stopping by to help out if plates or drinks were empty. Thus, even though our waiter was busy the whole evening, there were at least 5 people who assisted our table at one point or another to ensure nothing was slack. Too notch service.

Each time I go, I pick either the 6 or 10 course chef selection. It is pricey if you do it, but it was money well spent. Every single dollar, because it forever changed my list of Top 5 restaurants I have ever dined at. They made #1.

My wife and I look forward to the next time we dine there. I guarantee it will be very soon.
