Magnificent experience. The only hitch was a slight wait for our reserved table, but given the leisurely pace of our own dinner, the wait was tolerable. Our server did a masterful job of helping us choose several dishes for a balanced dining experience. Our favorites were the tempura pumpkin, Spanish octopus special and hot rock wagyu beef. It would be a sin to skip the fried milk for dessert, so plan for it. I love the attention to detail in each dish and the surprising flavor combinations. The chef impresses without being too exotic or showy for the sake of being showy (unlike some other Houston fine dining establishments). While we’ve experienced the “signature tasting” in the past, I was delighted by the choices we made with our own instincts and guidance from our seasoned server. Bravo, Uchi!

We had an amazing night sampling an array of creative sushi dishes. Our waiter, Matt, took excellent care of us in addition to the other friendly servers who presented each course with helpful explanations. Very welcoming atmosphere.

Happy hour sushi menu was decent but was expecting a little more enticing sushi. We tried every single happy hour entree/snack and nothing wowed us. The nigori sake was way overpriced for the brand and oz, even for happy hour

I live in NYC and have experienced some pretty amazing restaurants - Uchi hands down is my new favorite restaurant to date.

Tasting menu was wonderful as always. Restaurant was unusually loud. table close to us was very drunk and loud, literally, taking off clothes at the table. They probably should have cut them off but continued to serve them and they became a pretty big disturbance. Not want you want to go along with a nice special occasion expensive meal.

This was a first time at Uchi for both me and my friend (whose birthday we were celebrating) - lived up to the hype for both of us! Extremely good food, nice cozy yet elegant environment, and we could not have asked for a better server. Amy was easy to talk to and extremely helpful when it came to the menu; we pretty much got everything she recommended and did not regret it. Would definitely come here again!

My wife & I celebrated 4 consecutive birthdays here and have not been disappointed yet. The service is flawless, every single server down to those who came by the table to drop off a plate wished my wife happy birthday. The food is phenomenal, can't beat it in my book. This is a must eat place & the price tag is absolutely worth it!

So fun. My daughter and I went for social hour. Excellent menu. We made reservations for 5pm. great flavors. We ordered off the happy hour menu. The service was wonderful, happy, and attentive. I was expecting more raw fish sashimi- the combinations of flavors and sushi that we had was lovely. Will be thrilled to return.
