Wow wow wow! I can't believe how long I waited to try this place. What an amazing experience we had on date night. Make a reservation and go, ASAP! This tiny spot is so intimate and I was amazed by what they did in this space. Glen was personable, not condescending or pretentious like some other people in the restaurant business. We surrendered control and said "feed me." This allows the lovely ppl at tzin to choose tapas for you. We told Glen "I don't like olives, he doesn't like mayonnaise based sauces, we love seafood. We're hungry." And they did the rest. This allows you to eat things that aren't even on the menu and to see their creativity flow. Highly recommend, and will be back. Thanks Glen!
A true gem in the heart of downtown Edmonton. You won't be disappointed!
Great dinner at Tzin. We had the ‘feed me’ option with wine pairings. While the portions were on the smaller side the food was well -executed and came to the table well -timed. The wine pairings went well with all the dishes. Particularly outstanding was their bacon dish but there was not a weak dish in the bunch. Typically I’m not a fan of tartar but their tuna tartar made me a convert. Service was friendly, welcoming, well-informed and just the ‘right amount’. We dropped about $300 for the two of us but no complaints at all.
Outstanding!!! Fabulous eight course tapas meal, designed by the owner Glenn. Great friendly, interactive, connected service. Glenn was brilliant. Atmosphere excellent.....ambiance, music. The courses were all different, complimentary, exceptional in taste and presentation. Whole evening could not have been better. Do yourself a favour and make sure you visit Tzin!! You will not be disappointed.
Second time at Tzin and it didn’t disappoint. We look forward to coming back again and again!
Fantastic food and drinks. Service was over-and-above. We found we got good value for our experience.
Food is good. I just find the price for wine per glass ($15 for 6 oz) and $26 for a single skew of beef with 4 pieces too expensive. $19 for 4 boar meat balls?? I under tapas is small dishes for sharing, but it was just not much to share.
Tzin never disappoints. This is our favourite spot in the city.
I have been here twice in the last week as the first night last Saturday was some incredible. The service, the food and everything was excellent. You guys hit it out of the park. Hint: just walk in and let them cook for you so so incredible. Hanks and see you again very soon.
This place never fails to amaze me. The staff are incredible and so is the food. The staff treat you as if you had walked into their home. It's the perfect special date night or cozy venue for you and a couple of friends.
A patron has described Glen as the pulse of Tzin; Kelsey is its heart. Devilled foie gras - an ingenious creation; zesty falafel with jalapeno lime salsa; fresh PEI mussels, wild boar meatballs in a delicious maple whiskey sauce; and, the signature thick maple bacon with balsamic apple compote. Empress Gin lavender martinis. Tzin is, quite simply, a perfect evening.
Thank you, Kelsey & Glen!
Everything was fantastic. The only reason I did give full marks for value is that it is expensive, not that it is not worth it but, it is not a cheap night out if you are going for a full meal with wine and dessert.
Great evening with friends. Chefs choice , feed me, water me ( ok wine me). Delightful service, excellent food, fantastic company.... it doesn’t get better !!
The food, the wine, the service. Tzin is intimate and intricate, a perfect ambience for spilling secrets over a glass of wine and a signature dish of house smoked bacon.
Positively awesome in every category that's significant! From start to finish this team knows what they're doing and how to deliver world class without affectation. Superb!
The pulse of this very small restaurant is a Glen , the owner. He was an attentive charming server who has a contagious passion for the delicious inventive dishes he presents to your table. My favourites were the mushroom gnocchi and the bacon. Should I have the opportunity to visit Edmonton again, I'll definitely be paying Tzin another visit. Don't be disappointed. Reservations are a must!
Second time at Tzin, I will continue to go back. Exceptional service and food.
We are Jewish and Muslim and we go to TZIN every chance we get … for the BACON!!
ITS THAT GOOD!!
Everyone should check this gem of a restaurant out!
Great food, great service and great wine - would recommend the mystery menu!
Great food and service. It’s a very small restaurant so best for small companies (2-4 ideal).
Tried the “feed me” option which is where they randomly choose your dinner. Got 6 course meal for about $38-40. Worth it and left satisfied!
Definitely recommend coming here and being adventurous.
Consistently the best place in Edmonton to eat. Treated like family from start to finish.
Feed me is the way to go for a dining adventure. Every dish is a delectable surprise. You will eat foods that you never thought you would like such as seafood tartare and rock fish.
Our visit was simply amazing. Had their 'feed me' option on their menu. Amazing creations. service was top notch and we were well taken care of. highly recommend to anyone.
An unbeatable overall experience. Simple ingredients well prepared. The owner was fabulous in his warmth, knowledge and hospitality.
Great food, great wine! Amazing service in the cozy little restaurant.
This is my favorite restaurant in Edmonton. I love going there on date night. It’s very small & intimate. The bacon is the best. Excellent wine menu.
The smallest restaurant that I have even been in.
We spoke the owner and he ordered for us. Some items not on the menu.
The food, service and ambience was outstanding. We chose the feed me option where the server asks your likes and dislikes than brings you selections on and off the menu.
Edmonton's VERY BEST 7 tables!
Like a fine wine, Tzin just gets better and better - and is always our 1st choice while in Edmonton for a consistent 5 star dining experience, - and, THE only place we have found in Etown that is worthy of $250 +
We love returning to Tzin over and over. The service is top-notch, the food is creative and delicious, their wine list excellently curated. Tzin is the perfect place to spend an unhurried evening with friends, great food, and wine.
We had a FANTASTIC meal. Chose the “feed us” option where the kitchen selected our tapas items and wine pairings. Everything - service, food, wines - was exceptional and made for a wonderful evening.
Would highly recommend the “Feed Me” option . Chefs choice per course . Was a great fun way to enjoy our date night . Every dish was a surprise along with the recommended wine pairing . Amazing all around . We will be back !
The food was amazing! Highly recommend for a special occasion. Very small and intimate. Nice to be able to have a little chat with the people sitting next to you.
Best food and wine! Had a great time as always!
It was fabulous! Glen was so great! We will be coming back for sure!
The staff is welcoming and helpful and the food is very tasty. They accommodated our various dietary restrictions and allergies and we had a lovely evening.
Can’t say enough good things. Service was impeccable, easy going and friendly made our evening. We did the closed menus where they will chose items for you. Asked our server to pick a wine to go with it. Perfect.
Thanks for great special evening, it was a anniversary dinner.
Will be back for tapas at the bar after work, if we are able to get in. 😁
This place is simply amazing from the food to the service. You will not be disappointed with this little Edmonton downtown gem.
I booked a table for my husband and I's anniversary as all the reviews were glowing. The food did not disappoint. Our server recommended the 'feed me' option, which is where you tell them what kind of food you don't eat for whatever reason (ie. allergy or preference) and how hungry you are. They then bring you an appetizer sizeish portion of each dish, course by course, to share with whoever you're with. We had seven different dishes and each was fantastic. The last savoury dish (I don't recall what it was called) was thick cured pork, bread soaked in bacon grease, some kind of apple topping, all drizzled with an apple brandy reduction. Fan-freaking-tastic!! It was a bit on the pricey side but totally worth it for a special occasion.
