Tzin Wine & Tapas Ratings and Reviews
Very good experience for small tapas. But- the price was a little over the top
We have a tapas bar of equal par in highlands- and it is not as near as pricey.
Be prepared for a $230 bill for two. Nothing but wine and tapas
Always a treat to visit this restaurant. Great food, attentive and personal service, carefully chosen wine list - and it feels special because of the small space. A great spot for conversation with a good friend or a few - or your sweetie. Would recommend the falafel, patatas bravas and the flourless chocolate cake. Looking forward to my next visit with a meat-a-tarian to sample more.
Literally my favourite restaurant in edmonton. The first place I recommend to anyone from out of town. Always my first choice for a date. ALWAYS get the "feed me option." You can never go wrong. Staff are so accommodating with providing me with tapas that fit my dietary preferences (no pork or beef). I never leave this restaurant with a complaint!
Great and tasty food, really enjoyed the attention from the staff and their suggestions on what we should order. The wine was supper enjoyable and our seats at the bar was nice. I would recommend the bar as good for a date, since it really allow to people to focus on each other and makes for good conversation.
I’m always reminded by how special Tzin and its proprietors can be. You are always made to feel like the most important guest, that they’ve been waiting to see again no matter if it’s your first visit or your fiftieth.
The tight and cozy atmosphere helps make the experience personal and exclusive.
I was one of three and Identified a dietary preference, and was accommodated fully, and made to feel like my experience was as important as every guest there.
Thank you again for continuing to maintain such a great food and wine experience.
I chose right this time. The New Zealand fish was cooked perfectly and had a nice zesty cabbage to it. The elk sausage with potato salad was as good as before and would be a great permanent addition to the menu, if possible. The falafels with lime salsa and eggplant puree were bursting flavour. The raspberry chocolate torte was a good way to end the meal.
TZiN is Edmonton's finest. Atmosphere, intimate. Kelsey chose the menu: semi-seared tuna; arctic char; goose meatballs and grits; au gratin with srirachi heat; maple bacon; chocolate paté; toasted marshmallow lemon tart. World class experience; local talent. 🌟🌟🌟
Tzin is so much more than great food and wine, the owners are amazing and very knowledgeable. Turned my lovely anniversary evening into a dining tasting experience that you can't get at a bigger venue.
They are so personal and friendly. The goal is clear, to make every person feel at home and have an excellent experience!
Great place for a date, or just some friends who love wine and food.
The staff were very accommodating as our plans changed and easily adapted to our changing group size. From arrival until we were ready to leave we were made to feel welcome. The food came out of the kitchen at a perfect pace that allowed for conversation between courses and was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.
Attended Tzin for a birthday dinner. They've been a fave of mine for years, and did not disappoint.
The space is small and tightly packed, but energetic. Plan to make a reservation, as it's often tough to get in without one. I highly recommend the "Feed Me" menu option, where you specify how hungry you are, outline any dining preferences, and they bring you food until you're full. They do amazing things with local ingredients.
What a fantastic experience the food was real good we did the Feed me option and everything thing they brought out was delicious. I don't like fish but was brave and tried the tuna and it was real good. They had a lot of wine to chose from and are very knowledgeable. Would recommend going there we will be back for sure. What a wonderful evening. it wasn't cheap but worth every penny.
