We went there during our first visit in Boston. We choose this restaurant for its location and for the menu that seemed to be very interesting. No ceception there, That was at least very good or, in case of one meal, good. We gobally recommend this place. Vraiment l'fun dans le cadre d'une escapade de fin de semaine à Boston.
Mango salad was good. The lemongrass chicken was excellent. The Peking Duck half was so-so. The ginger lobster was just okay but expensive. Service was excellent. Vietnamese coffee was cold & not like the real Vietnamese coffee. The fried ice cream was unusual & very tasty. Overall very good
I love this restaurant and have been eating here since 2008. I've never had a meal that wasn't great and service that wasn't wonderful.
Last night I had an experience that ruined the restaurant for me. A rude bartender who actually argued with me when I asked for my martini to be redone and a waitress who was unhelpful as well.
I'm very disappointed as the food is always great, but I wouldn't recommend going back if you want a full drink and don't want to be bullied and nickle and dimed by the staff.
Consistently good Pan-Asian food, great atmosphere, fresh Sushi, creative roles, tastes from "around Asia" including Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and more.

Waitress was clueless. Told us the bar didn't have anything we asked for, but later another waitress later told us otherwise.
The dumplings were clearly frozen... Better dumplings from Costco. The sushi was ok, but some of the rolls were very fishy... And we both had a tummy ache after.
Net net, we learned there's a reason we were able to reserve a table on Saturday night with 10 minutes notice as we walked around on Newbury street...
This restaurant is basically empty every time I go. It used to be busy. The food is fine, but the staff is mediocre (forgot one of our items, sat on her phone texting the whole time so we never got a chance to enquire about the missing item) - basically it seems like they're resigned to the place being on its last leg and not caring.
Too bad because it's good food at a good price in a great location.
I'm always skeptical of other people's Open Table reviews so when we walked into this sort of dark and dingy restaurant my expectations were pretty low, even though other open table reviewers gave it good scores. Mea Culpa. The food was terrific. We had the Vietnamese chicken soup - plenty to share for two - and it was the best I've ever had, including in Vietnam. The Thai lettuce wraps were really good too. But the chicken soup is not to be missed.
At lunch, service was slow after our food arrived--it took over 15 minutes to get the check--not great if you need to get back to the office. Veggie options were very limited, and the spice level of food was difficult to discern from the menu. Pad Thai was OK, not great.
Asian Typhoon was a great choice for dining with friends from abroad. Menu has much variety. We had assorted sushi to start, and they were excellent. The beer list includes asian brews. The Wok-Flashed Salt and Pepper with Striped Bass was a particularly excellent entree, as was the Grilled North Atlantic Salmon. Prices were moderate for the meal provided. Worth returning here again for a great meal.
Despite there only being a handful of customers at lunch, service was rather slow. Was out of the drink and had to wait for the waiter to come back. Also, our waiter was a bit odd. Started telling us a story about an customer yesterday who brought along several lady friends, got distracted and never finished the story. The problem was we were engaged in discussion so it was weird that he would tell us a story (not sure what the intent was). I've eaten there before but only for dinner. I like the food, never had issues with the food but service during lunch needs to pick up in regards to quality of service. If service we had was their standard, would not suggest going unless you have time to kill.
My parents were visiting me here in Boston, and I wanted to take them to a nice spot for their first night. The gentle atmosphere was perfect and allowed us to talk and catch-up on eachothers' lives. We did the sushi a la carte, and it was excellent and beautifully presented. We got the lobster roll, unagi, yellowfin, tuna, and california roll all of which were delicious and fresh. We also had the seafood bruschetta which was very tasty! Unfortunately, we then went for some entrees to finish our meal. The scallops and the filet both got overcooked and we ended up sending the scallops back. The scallops were much better the second time, but still nothing special. All in all it was a good experience, but there were some missteps.
My husband and I like this place a lot because we can each order what we like. He prefers Japanese, I like Thai. The food always exceeds my expectations, which is the most important thing in a restaurant. My favorite dish is the charred tuna appetizer. The spicy lemon grass soup is very spicy but very tasty. It's not cheap but prices are reasonable.
This was our second time dining here. The food is exceptionally good. We had tuna tartare, fried calamari and soft shell crab, and minced chicken in lettuce leaves for appetizers. All three were excellent and would recommend them highly. The main courses were the Thai steak, lobster, and scallops, again all very fresh and good. The service was was very friendly but, at the same time, non-intrusive. The only weakness is the limited wine selection. Will certainly go there again.
We had the most amazing dinner for our date night. The staff was professional, accommodating, friendly, and fast. The mood was set, with French background music, and the owner was available to speak with us. We could not have asked for better food, wine, service, or evening.
Empty restaurant, owners need to reinvest in upkeep of and updates to the the establishment. Seated along a wall that was patched with duct tape, the restaurant was decorated with mismatched items. One of our sushi rolls needed to be sent back as the fish had expired and had an unpleasant odor and taste.
