Hadn't been is a few years and it's better than I remembered. Fun low key atmosphere with great food and a really pleasant staff. I'm anxious to go back again and deep dive further into the menu.
Amazing in every way!!! Intimate and lovely atmosphere. Be sure not to miss the artichoke gratin and deviled crab. Great cocktails too.
We had a wonderful dinner at Txikito. The restaurant exudes an air of warmth from the people, the ambiance and in the food. Each dish we ordered was excellent as was the wine selection. I will definitely visit again.
Great food, outstanding service, A++++++++++++++++
The food was delicious. And the place is quite nice. However, the service was too fast, so we could not really enjoy the dinner.
Amazing experience on Valentine’s Day which is no small feet. From being greeted by Leah, to being served by Johnathan, the entire evening was wonderful! Fantastic food and service across the board on what is a restaurant’s hell night!! Rob the manager was very kind as well and we look forward to returning and trying their sister restaurant across the street as well!
Outstanding food and service. Great ambiance. Prices are on the high side, specially considering the bite size of the portions. It is worthy.
The staff was attentive and very friendly . I would definitely come back !
Getting together with school friends only everyone is all grown up. We parents, still and, happily paid the check. The staff couldn’t have been more thoughtful. The food and wine pleased everyone- from the au courant to the curmudgeon. I am thrilled to have such a high quality place to go with a disparate group.
The best in NYC! I love going there, trying the TAPAs and the mixed flavors that it has! Simply the best!
Great ambiance and great food. Although a pintxos place, it seemed more for a date than the typical pintxos bar you would find in Euskadi.
Wonderful night. Everything from the hostess, bartender and our server was wonderful. Thank you for a great Saturday night in Chelsea.
P.S. The squid pasta was heaven!
We loved every single of these Basque tapas. Plus great Tempranillo wines
Everything was perfect. Staff remembered us from a single visit two months ago and were welcoming.
Great meal! The manager came and talked to us about cider, which was awesome! A lovely experience.
The restaurant is adorable. Great ambiance. Service was perfect. Food was delicious. Incredible. Amazing. Price was reasonable for tapas in the city. The only recommendation I would make is to redo your bathroom. It unfortunately brings perfection down 2 notches. Thank you.
Fantastic meal
Carlos is awesome!
The food and service were great, the wine was good, and the noise level was low so it was easy to have a conversation. I’ll definitely be back.
Beautiful food in a simple, relaxed and lovely space - a special experience but not at all stuffy!
Txikito is perfection. It is the perfect neighborhood go-to and worth traveling a long distance to experience. The food is delicious. There is a real chef in the kitchen - the ingredients fresh and seasonal, the preparation inspired. We love Spanish food and this is as good as it gets outside of Spain's Basque region. The service is impeccable, with friendly faces we have been privileged to get to know over the many years we have have been going there. We love the vibe - casual with a low buzz and usually quite comfortable for talking. (Only exception is the occasional large noisy party!) We have been going there since it opened too long ago to remember and have never had a disappointing meal, which in itself is rare. We eat out often, cook with passion ourselves and this remains our very favorite place.
Been a regular for sometime but Food quality has significantly dropped after December to the level I am probably not going back for dinner and will be happy with some wine at the bar
Every single thing we ordered was delicious — super high quality and flavorful Spanish dishes, and if the organ meats aren't your thing no worries! The vegetable and fish dishes were what we stuck with and they were amazing. The service was also excellent, helpful and friendly but not at all stuffy or intrusive. It's located on an unassuming corner of 9th Ave in Chelsea, so we think it's super underrated. Go and eat here, you won't regret it.
I was interested in this restaurant after having visited a Basque festival. Txikito does not disappoint. Amazing array of small dishes and larger entree sized plates made it really difficult to choose. The food was amazing. Excellent wine list from Spain as well. Terrific find!
Outstanding tapas worth the trip to the odd location. Many vegetarian options are also available. I recommend having 5-6 dishes for 2 people if you are moderately hungry.
One of the best restaurants in New York. Original dishes, served perfectly, love the seafood. Pleasant and respectful servers. Helpful maitre d’ .
I used to love this place with basque cheese platter and Garnacha wine from Navarra. Nothing good lasts forever. No more cheese plate. The wine is overpriced and cost almost triple compare to the wine shops. The quality of wine is not the same either. Still decent place in the area for drinking wine with a small plates.
Amazing, Caries and interesting food. Open to 11 so great when in Chelsea
Interesting and tasty menu. Waiters very pleasant and helpful
Food was delicious and so unique and flavorful. The portions are very small so don’t come super hungry unless you plan to try a ton of plates. Two friends and I shared three small plates and 3 medium plates/entrees and everything was incredible. The cocktail, wine, and cider menu was also lovely. my favorites were the pulpo, the desnudos, and a cauliflower special that included chanterelle mushrooms.
For the third year in a row the day after Thanksgiving my family has enjoyed a delicious, delightful evening at this creative restaurant. Service is superlative, dishes tasty but not overwrought, and drinks perfect.
The service was good. However, the food was okay at best. One of the dishes was so bad the we didn’t even have a second bite. The waiter was very nice and removed that dish from our bill.
This is one of my very favorite restaurants! It's a best kept secret of West Chelsea - a neighborhood spot that is exquisite. It's a laid back vibe, but the food is unique and high quality.
The food is unusual so it is wise to consult your server before ordering. Ours was extremely knowledgeable not only about the food but as an aspiring sommelier, also about the wine. The space is divided up so the noise level is civilized. I recommend this restaurant highly. Enjoy!
We loved Txikito... the food was so beautifully lovingly prepared. Subtle use of spice; focus on the fish. Our server paced our dinner perfectly. We will be back.
Food was delicious. Ideal for a group willing to share small plates. Highly recommended.
Start with a citrusy G&T. Crab toast is a must, as are Codfish croquettes. Just order everything with jamon or anchovies, and you’ll be fine. And try the vermouth cocktails.
Nice selection of shareable plates. We were seated right up against the kitchen door which knocked it down a star for me. Server was highly knowledgeable and made great recommendations.
The variety of taste options is very attractive. As is the wine list, the pairings and the advice from the staff.
Really good way to experience pintxos and Basque food
Not impressed
Service was not good. No real ambiance.
The small plates were tasty, but the other three sections of the menu were not good.
Suckling pig was very dry.
Salted cod was very bland, way too salty and the texture was off.
I suggest they change their format to be a bar with tapas appetizers and drop the other 3 sections of the menu.
Excellent date night restaurant, vibe is modern Euro.
