Two25 Ratings and Reviews
We went New Year’s Eve The seating in the middle is more cozy and romantic but we were fine toward the back too. Service was fine although it took a little while to get started. While it’s not inexpensive every meal the four of us had was well worth it. New York strip was fantastic and I know the two pasta dishes in our group were too. 225 is a place that my wife and I kind of forget about when searching for fine dining. The last time there was a New Year’s Eve a few years back
Again the food was excellent
Two25 is a favorite for us. Instead of the usual bottle of wine several diners went with cocktails- everyone was pleased. Some in our party went with their usual-wouldn’t order anything else -filets. The filets are tender, tasty and I understand why they enjoy it so much. It is also a value for the price. The other entrees at the table included salmon (another hit) - but tonight’s winner was the shrimp scampi. It was superb, not too garlicky or buttery, serving size was perfect. Sorry I’ve overlooked it in the past-I have so many other favorites I usually go to, it will not be overlooked in the future. The special treat Brandy Alexander was a great finish. Thanks to Gary for perfect service.
Always verry happy with our experience at two25. We love the atmosphere, food, and drinks. two25 is our go to place for steak and drinks of choice. The steaks are always cooked perfectly. We like that we can get dressed up and go for a special occasion, or just drop by in jeans. The staff is always very knowledgeable, and never make us feel rushed. It's always a great time at two25.
Great food, the filet was outstanding, the scalloped potatoes were excellent too. Service was great, maybe a little too fast if you want to talk a lot. For the appetizer we had the calamari, very tender and tasty. We had no room left for dessert, unfortunately. Great experience all together. Highly recommended.
The food was great we got in right in our reservation time and got our food pretty quick. The food was good for the most part. We got our food and ate all in 45 minutes. Which was great because it was our anniversary and we had other plans. A lady came by and collected our dishes even though she was not our server. When she collected the plates we asked for our bill. She said no problem and went on her way. 20 minutes went by and no sign of our server and the bill. It was like we were forgotten about. We then flagged a different girl down and asked again for our bill and she informed us that our server was on his way. Needless to say that’s not how we pictured our anniversary. Our server was so quick and in and out that we didn’t even have a chance to tell him it was our anniversary.
From out of town and was looking for a nice place w/ good atmosphere for dinner. Thought for price food was just ok. The ambiance was very cool, service was good. My husband didn't care for the cocktails either but we are definite foodies used to really good craft cocktails and exceptional food.
We had made reservations for the 5 of us weeks in advance for 5pm ON A WEDNESDAY. We were rushed through our dinner, which was a birthday celebration. They started clearing dishes as soon as we put our forks down. Offering us to go boxes while we were still eating. At 6:30, the server told us point blank that they needed our table. We found that to be very rude. The place was NOT full; there were other tables. We will NOT be returning.
It was a wonderful meal from start to finish. After a lovely baked brie with a nice array of fruit and crackers, we enjoyed rolls and a delicious salad with the house vinaigrette. I absolutely loved my Dijon salmon, and my husband had a great NY strip. I wish this place was in Ohio, darn it. :)
My boyfriend and I normally love Two25 because the food is consistently good, they have a few wines/beers we really like, and it's not full of noisy children or groups. However, service is an important part of the dining experience and this time, Two25 seriously dropped the ball. The restaurant was dead when we arrived for our reservation yet it took a good 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our presence, despite two bartenders having made eye contact with me. Once seated, our server was very unfriendly, hardly even raising his voice to an audible level, not even looking at us, and lacking anything resembling a personality. The only staff we encountered that wasn't a disappointment was the girl that brings the peppermill and clears dishes as she walks by, although she too was very quiet. This is the first underwhelming experience we've had at Two25 so we may try it again, but it will no longer be at the top of my list of nice places to go for a special occasion.
This was my second time here. My mother and I were in town for a show and had dinner prior to the show. The service was great. After telling the server our plans to attend a show he was aware that we were on a schedule and assured we would not have to wait. The food was excellent. I ordered the scallops, mom ordered Salmon. Both were perfectly cooked and nicely presented. I will definitely return and recommend .
This is a go to for us. It is often an overlooked gem in Peoria. The Steamboat event was going on so everything was packed. We were still able to get a reservation and the place was packed as well. They responded nicely to the crowd. The service was a bit slower and lacked precision tonight, but all in all, it was good.
