Carmelo was a great server and the food was really good. The atmosphere was cozy and the views were nice. I had the grilled octopus ap and the crispy skin salmon for the main. Personally, I like the food to be sourced locally and if it was, I would have liked to see from what farms the products came.
Pricey; overrated view
We went here to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. Waiter was polite and attentive as was the bartender. The service was good. Overall a very good experience. The view of the bridge and marina is superb. Food was very good. We felt everything was seasoned perfectly and presented well. Overall the restaurant is decorated very nicely with a buttery yellow wall paint, coffered ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and a lovely bar clad in hammered copper. The tables have white table clothes and are adorned with little squares of mirror with lovely candle tea light holders on them. You can certainly take a date here.
Everything was perfect even though it was a very rainy day. We’ll have to return again on a better weather day to enjoy the bridge view!
food was second to none. frank our server was excellent. great views. wonderful atmosphere. can’t wait to go back!
Food and service were very good but the real star was the incredible view of the new Bridge, as well as the lovely ambiance of the restaurant. We started with the shrimp/guacamole app which was fresh and delicious - a combo I would not have thought of putting together. I had the lamb and my husband the tuna special - both solid choices, if not too exciting. We finished with a leisurely brandy and cappuccinos. Our waiter let us linger over the lovely evening - no feeling of being rushed. This was our first time there and we will definitely return - we've already told several friends about this find!
This is our third time visiting Two Spear Street and it has always been a great experience. Great service, interesting and yummy menu choices, lovely interior (and nice outdoor seating when the weather cooperates). Highly recommend and already looking forward to our next visit.
great food ,wonderful atmosphere..spectacular view!
Outstanding experience from serve to food. Worth the 45 minute drive. Cannot wait to return and eat outside with the beautiful view of the Tappan Zee Bridge and Hudson river
Went for my birthday and everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and personable, they didn’t mind making small talk or little jokes here and there.
The food was great as I would have assumed since my husband and I were married here :)
Either way very pleased and would return again.
I hadn’t been back to Two Spear St. for a while until a friend suggested we try it for Restaurant Week. Lovely place with a beautiful view of the Hudson River. The menu, the food and the service were all outstanding. Perfectly cooked salmon and an excellent tiramisu. So glad it’s back on my radar and will return.
Excellent - food, ambiance, service. Highly recommended.
We went for Restauranr Week lunch. Having been here for dinner, we weren’t concerned about the RW menu not being available online. Well, the choices for the lunch entree were raisin French toast, eggs Benedict, and chicken BLT panini. Not very exciting, or what I would expect if you were trying to get people to come back to your restaurant.
We ordered the duck wing appetizer to share, as well as the grilled Caesar salad appetizer included in the prix fixe menu. I had the chicken BLT panini as my entree. It did not have bacon. Therefore, it was just a chicken panini sandwich. My husband had the eggs Benedict. They were cooked perfectly, but needed more hollandaise.
The desserts were either lemon cheesecake, which was overly lemon flavored, and tiramisu, which was quite good.
The best thing we had were the duck wings. The rest was okay, but not to the level I would expect from this restaurant. We will return, but only for dinner.
I now know better than to go to a restaurant that doesn’t share its menu.
Great restaurant. Excellent service and delicious food. Will be back for sure.
Lovely restaurant near the water. Great service and 4 of us had great meals. A bit pricey but what isn't these days. Will definitely go back for a special occasion.
This Restaurant is AMAZING! The food is to die for. The new menu choices are mouth watering and the service is impeccable. I had the Lobster Risotto for dinner which was out of this world. The Lobster was cooked to perfection and the Risotto was unreal. I can not reccomend this place enough.
Lovely restaurant. Very well prepared food. Great service. Beautiful view of the Tappan Zee and the river. Will come back in the springtime when doors are open.
Love this place. So quaint and views are nice of the water. Nice small quiet restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.
Meal was very good. Service was attentive but a little long between visits. Would go back
Great, Quiet, Local Gem. The Food, Service, Attention To Detail, All Are Excellent. Perfect For Special Occasions To A Causal Meal.
Excellent small restaurant tucked away by the banks of the Hudson River. Wide range of offerings.
The food here is delicious and the wait staff is excellent and accommodating. The mixed punch and sangria were excellent. We had brie/raspberry appetizer as well as the crab avocado appetizer which was amazing. Short ribs and seafood was excellent. Can't wait to return.
Restaurant has beautiful views of the Hudson River and the Tappan Zee Bridge. Food was good but service was very slow and waiter service seemed a little inexperienced. I expected more from a fine restaurant.
Well worth the trip to go there...great view of the Tappen Zee. Food very good.
Amazing dinner from start to finish. Service was prompt and courteous without being on your face. The food was superb.
This was the first time my husband and I went to this restaurant. Everything was perfect, including our cozy table!
We had Faroe Island Salmon and a sea bass special, stuffed with tomatoes and spinach. Both served with a butter sauce, carrots and green beans and a delicious thyme scented mashed potatoes
At premium prices, the food should have been better seasoned with more creative vegetables and sauces. Service was quite good, and we were not pressured too much about not ordering apps or dessert
The view of the Hudson and GMC bridge is quite pretty; however the evening we would there the server said there was a problem with their dimmers and it was way too bright for any occasion (and apparently too dark with just candlelight, which would have been much more romantic)
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food from this somewhat tucked away restaurant. there is some great outdoor seating with a view of the Hudson River, but it was a bit chilly the night we dined there. The brie appetizer was outstanding, and we all enjoyed our main dishes ranging from the Short Rib Raghu to various fish dishes. To end the night on a sweet note, the flourless chocolate cake and creme brulee were shared by us all. Our waiter was attentive, but not over the top. We will definitely return.
The only slight negative is that there was some noise spill over from the event hosted in one of the other rooms.
Had reservation for outdoor seating but we were told they gave our table for 4 to a party of 2. After we expressed our desire to sit at table we reserved they resolved the issue and moved the other party and admitted their mistake. Drinks were excellent especially Spear street martini. Apps very good. Baked brie tasty. Salmon excellent and branzino good but not much seasoning. Chocolate cake yummy.
A bit pricey.
View nice outdoors.
We arrived an hour and a half early for our reservation. Instantly greeted and they offered to seat us early. We chose to wait out in the outdoor seating area and ordered two rounds of drinks since the night was cooling off and we didn’t want to rush. The place was clean, the staff was professional, friendly, and spot on. We were given a bar menu at first and chose to use it as an appetizer. Duck wings with a Thai inspired Sauce and Veal Meatballs. Both were really good! Our Server, Jordan was friendly, very knowledgable of the menu and the techniques used in preparing each menu item. He moved with a purpose and was not pushy. We ordered our mains, Filet with Lump Crab meat and Frenched breasted chicken. The beef was on point....very well made. The Frenched chicken was perfectly stuffed and the sauce was perfect....the risotto was however over salted. Desert was a Tiramisu and Three color sherbet. The Tiramisu seemed like it was a day old, it didn’t taste the freshest....the Sherbet, had large chunks of ice in it, but the flavor was awesome.
We will certainly go back. Its a wonderful gem in Nyack.
Ambiance was the view of the parking lot. Food was less than average. Salads were OK but lamb chops tasted like they were microwaved and covered with gravy. Server was clearly overwhelmed as he seemed to be the only one working while the rest of staff chatted at the bar. No one seemed to care whether we liked our food or not, particularly when I left almost my entire entree on the plate.
Good service, great food overlooking the Hudson River
I am accustomed to foods being seasoned and tasting delicious. This reminded of the 1970s when restaurants served bland food.
Service was excellent (Frank)
Food was delicious
Atmosphere was pleasant...not too loud and beautiful view of Hudson
Wwe will definitely come back again.
Excellent food and very attentive service. And the view from the outdoor seating is wonderful, too! The menu is inventive, and every dish we have tried has hit the mark. A very enjoyable experience overall.
The menu is the same as it was last year, which is not necessarily a terrible thing. If it isn't broken, it doesn't need to be fixed right? Everything was delicious. (I knew to stay away from the disappointing oysters this time). The fresh made pasta is a welcome touch. Still, I would like to see some new items next time.
The view of the new Tappan Zee bridge (the old Dutch name, now dedicated to the patriarch of some political dynasty) provides a picturesque backdrop across the Hudson from the available patio seating.
There is plenty of parking, which is a big benefit compared to the restaurants up the hill.
It's not cheap (nor much pricier than the surrounding area), but if you don't want to break the bank, try two appetizers for a fine meal. Just be prepared to wait. The kitchen is not fast. Sit back, relax, and their gracious servers will be glad to bring some bread to stave off starvation. Cheers.
Service is warm and welcoming.
The salmon dish was excellent
The restaurant is nice but the main view is a parking lot. The food was good but not worth the money a little over priced. The service was absolutely fantastic could not ask better. Worth a try and then you decide.
First time there to celebrate two birthdays. FABULOUS, very attentive staff, including a very attentive 16 year old. We ate outside with beautiful views of the Hudson River and the Tappanzee Bridge. Food was great and they asked and acknowledged our birthdays. Would definitely go back.
Really good food,
Nice location, from some seats you can see the Hudson River.
Good values for that level of food.
