I love the two salmon cafe buffet. We have enjoyed going as a group for good food and friendly service. Sadly, they are going to be tearing it down and putting other restaurants in it's place. We will give the new place a try once it is in, but the buffet will be missed!
Dissapointed to hear that the buffet has been discontinued.
The server at the carving station was very frugal when it came to slicing the prime rib even though it was an all you can eat prime rib. The food was replenished very slowly. Food was mediocre and limited in variety.
Been going down hill ever since before construction started. By comparison to Skagit the food is no where near as good, nor is the menu. They got a new chef and things have improve greatly. Maybe the cure for Two Salmons is in the upper staff as well. Queuing at check in is part of the problem but the buffet needs help as well. Many times during the week and weekend the choices are not very appetizing.
Good options for a buffet at a good price. The property is on the water with a beautiful view. There is gaming in a small casino environment with friendly staff.
We had early easter lunch and family birthdays. Enjoyable experience.
The food was good, the waitstaff was friendly and courteous, The chef was willing to give a little extra assistance.
Great staff, wonderful seafooods prime rib was good.
Wonderful as always
The Friday night seafood was so great! The people are very friendly and I just love it there!Thankyou all so much
Always great variety of seafood on Friday nights. Love all you can eat crab, shrimp, mussels, clams, oysters, fish and variety of other buffet items. Full meal in Ludington drink and dessert. Drinks from bar offered for add on fee. Delicious. .
The website shows "Pacific Rim Cuisine" on Thursday night. When I looked up the definition it showed - typical food of the Pacific area but with an Asian flavor/cooking style. (One of the examples it gave was teriyaki salmon.) The only seafood on the whole buffet was the small shrimp available for the Pad Thai. When reading the website I understood there were certain foods that were nightly with specials added for the theme; did not seem to be the case. We were definitely expecting some sort of fish (maybe Salmon - reference the name of the restaurant), crab, or clam. Reference the price we knew it would not be much but maybe something from the northwest. We definitely felt for a casino buffet it was extremely limited on entrees. The salad bar area was nice. The deserts were disappointing.
The hostess was exceptionally friendly, our waitress great and if I considered only those two reference service I would have had to say excellent, but the gentleman behind the buffet was nearly rude when I asked about the Pad Thai.
Noisy fir casual conversation near water.
This time they ran out of three items. Prime rib carver had to leave station to fill.
had reservation.still had to wait extra 15 min...food was cold.....had to wait for drinks.....to much smoke..wont go to another casino to eat again..
We enjoyed the casual atmosphere in the cafe. There was an uncomfortable wait for the line to move before we were seated. That was seemingly unnecessary; maybe another way to check in those with reservations opposed to others trying to fit in somewhere would be a good idea.
The food was good; not exceptional! The prime rib was also O.K! The mashed potatoes container was empty; I could have asked for a refill but didn't. The green beans & salads were satisfactory. My family enjoyed the crab legs & shrimp. But I was hesitant to eat shrimp due to recent ads on Facebook about them being injected in Asia to "plump them up" for sales. Posting that the seafood is "fresh or local" would be advised. One other complaint is that the dessert selection was scarce. Offered were bread pudding, a cobbler, and scattered slices of pie or unappetizing cake. It was not appealing!
The fact that it provided a venue for dinner on Christmas Day was appreciated. $29.99 a person seemed pricey for the quality of food.
The Christmas buffet was so disappointing. The food was lukewarm. The crab legs when opened had a lot of water in them. The desserts or lack thereof looked disgusting and we wouldn't even try those.
We went for their seafood Christmas buffet. They had three kinds of crab! The sides were yummy also. There is a waterfall fish pond that makes it feel like you are on vacation while there.
The crab at the Christmas Day was fabulous ... fresh, juicy and very tasty! Also, the prime rib was excellent, and there were plenty of side dishes. All in all, very enjoyable! Thank you!
My husband and I have been here many, many times for the Friday and Sunday seafood/prime rib buffets and a couple times for the BBQ/Pacific Rim dinners. Normally the quality of the food is exceptional, but we went yesterday for Christmas dinner and everything was really subpar. It seemed like maybe they were understaffed in all aspects, from the servers to the cooks in the back. They ran out of plates multiple times and we couldn't get anyone to stop to refill our water glasses. The gentleman who was supposed to be cutting the prime rib was missing in the back kitchen half the time, along with the maybe two servers who were there. But what was really disappointing was the quality of the food. We've been here so many times when the seafood was really moist and fresh, but the crab legs were so dry and seemed like they'd been sitting out for a day. The selection of dishes was nowhere near as extensive as it usually is, but they advertised a ton of extra food for Christmas. Overall it was just relatively disappointing, especially because last year everything was really wonderful. It seems like dinners here are becoming more hit and miss, but if you happen to come on a "hit" day, consider yourself lucky—when the food is good, it's really good. I'd skip it on a special occasion because what we got yesterday wasn't worth the price at all.
The food and service was really great. Loved the atmoshphere
We've been several times and it never disappoints! Love it!
Always good variety and fabulous seafood. Love Friday seafood night along with other cuisine by day of week. You can also order off menu if don't want buffet.
Went to the Seafood Buffet and they had dungeness, snow and alaskan crab legs. A great meal for seafood enthusiasts.
worth the drive from Vancouver---good service and seafood very tasty and lots of variety.
here is crab from?
I enjoyed the dinner but the crab was not cooked all the way,who ever is cooking it needs to cook it a bit longer,it was mushy.Over all I still love coming out to the cafe, everyone working is nice and works hard at pleasing the customer, thankyou😀
I enjoyed my meal but the crab was over cooked.Everything else was great! It would be nice if there was a way to keep the butter warm while you eat,the servers did a nice job keeping plates and bringing fresh bowls for the seafood.Thankyou kindly for making my Friday night so special at table 23!!😀
Service was great and so was the food. We will definitely be returning.
Not a broad menu, but the food was good as was the service.
The food was good although about half of the dungeoness crab that I grabbed appeared to have been in the freezer to long it either lost it flavor and or seemed freezer burnt the clams and muscles were very good and also it would be nice if they mixed up the deserts a little we go there fairly often and the deserts are always the same old thing and not the best quality.
Once again!I am a very satisfied customer! The crab was big and perfectly done, the mussels and clams were to die for!The chef is totally awesome and really knows what he's doing up there! If I were you,I would definitly give the man a raise,he's very professional and knows what needs to be done and how to do it.Thankyou very much for making me a true lover of Salmon2 cafe!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😃
Food was great were able to get Prime rib done to desired level rare to well done. Crab legs were plenty and always being restocked.
Staff was eager to please and always on the ready for what ever you needed.
Nice comfortable place for good meal.
I was unsatified with the food this time,I'm a regular at the restaurant and the food is much better usually,The regular chef wasn't working that night, don't know his name but he's the big guy. This man is an amazing chef that makes the dinning experience a great one
Sunday night Crab & Prime Rib buffet is a great deal! They have other items too, but we usually concentrate on the crab (local Dungeness and Queen), and the prime rib. If you join their casino membership, you'll get the 10% senior discount (50+), plus extra discounts in your birthday month. Good, steady service. A bit loud from the waterfalls. but we weren't there to chat!
You have my previous responses. Yes I like the Two Salmon Café and patronize it often
You need not send these inquiries to me.
Thank you! Elwin Vernon
My parents are 'regulars' for the Tuesday special and we try to join them as often as possible. I made reservations for this last time because we had out of town company and family helping us celebrate my mom's 90th birthday. Our toddler grandson was not into sitting down to eat much so my husband took him for a walk at the entrance where an employee saw him and gave him a stuffed animal which was very thoughtful. Our waitress didn't come around quite as often as I had thought she would to check on us all and my mom didn't get her glass of water til almost done with meal and I hoped the waitress would lead everyone in singing happy birthday to mom but she didn't (but mom probably wouldn't have wanted the attention anyway!) Food was great as always though...and of course the price can't be beat!
Your crab both the king and the Dungeness had way too much salt !!!! It must be from the ice after cooking to preserve it we need to get it served without the salty salty taste
To whom it may concern,
My father spoke with the restaurant staff, asking if they could supply balloons and a candle or something, staff said they would speak with a supervisor and check into it. Later that day the manager phoned him back and stated (in a message) that she would be happy to put balloons at the table and provide a desert (included in the buffet) with a candle in it at the end o-f the meal. We still have that message. My dad was thrilled, called her back and left a message stating that would be perfect. When we arrived and were seated there were no balloons or mention of any occasion, and no candle was brought out either. My dad was very disappointed. He would have planned differently had the manager not said she could do something and confirmed such. He stated that he wished she had just plain said,"no we don't/can't do anythingfor you." That way he could have done something himself. The food was great and besides the boy in the cast pouring water all over our table and then not wiping it up, the service was good too. However, because of what happened, our family will not be returning.
Love Friday night seafood buffet. Always lots of crab, shrimp, clams, scallops, fish and more.
The food was very good, but the choices were limited for the high price. There are other close-by buffet restaurants that charge the same price yet offer far more choices.
I would love to see more selection. That being said, the dungeness crab was fantastic! The reservation system on their end needs some work.
We've been there a few times now and really enjoy the seafood buffet. Unfortunately they have been understaffed with wait staff every time we go. Lots of bus help but usually only one server and she has the whole buffet section to handle and therefore drinks, refills and clean plates and utensils are the parts of the buffet that epically fail!
