Two E Bar and Lounge
Daily Food Menu: 2:00pm - 8:00pm;
Daily Bar: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
We went for afternoon High Tea. Very over priced for what you receive. Good tea selection and the dessert portion was good, but the tea sandwiches had very little filling and somewhat stale bread. Not up to the standards of other NYC teas and certainly not what you'd expect from the Pierre. Would not go back or recommend.
Celebrated a girl friend’s birthday and one of us had special dietary constraints as she was nursing. The chef/restaurant took every detail into consideration and made something special for her. We were super appreciative of the level of detail they went into to ensure the party had a good experience. Amazing!
afternoon Tea. Incredible
Had a great time at Afternoon Tea - service was impeccable and food was great. Scones, which are made freash in house, were the highlight! They even provide the recipe at the end!
My son was not obliged to order the afternoon tea and able to order something different. Ambiance was nice - contemporary.
The only minor detail was that the tea was not served in a nice teapot traditional style, as you can see from the photo. Tea was very fragrant - I had the Earl Grey and my husband had the English Breakfadt. Highly recommend - I will be back!
The service was excellent. The atmosphere Devine and the food exquisite.
Introducing a young woman from Michigan to a NYC experience - afternoon tea.
I've had afternoon tea in many cities and many hotels. This experience was among the worst. It was mid-day on a weekday so perhaps it was a bad time or off day? Or perhaps because we had a groupon we were treated differently. But I would not return; even with the groupon discount it was overpriced for the experience. The tea itself was nice but there was a rather limited selection. The food was mediocre at best and service was not good. I noted in my reservation that this was a Birthday celebration and when I spoke with the hotel a few days before they also mentioned it was noted that we were celebrating birthday. However, there was no acknowledgement made of the special occasion once we arrived. I wasn't expecting much but the fact that they had mentioned it on the phone made me think they would at least wish us a happy birthday. Why mention it if they don't do anything to acknowledge special occasions?
We had both the Traditional Afternoon Tea and the special Tiffin & Tea. The tiffin foods were actually quite good but there was so little of it (especially when compared to a traditional tea) for the same price. The traditional tea foods were flavorless and stale. This was a first tea experience for one of our guests and we were constantly saying "Usually it's better than this" for most item we tried, hoping this experience wouldn't turn her off from future High Teas. The warm scones were the stars of the plates but they were tiny and really no better than a Panera or Starbucks scone. Not the quality you would expect from a New York hotel.
Service was unattentive, condescending and uninterested. There were only two other parties in the restaurant yet once the tea and food was delivered we never saw our server until the checks were delivered. Tables were tiny and crammed, everything came out at once and we had no room to actually eat off our plates. Noone ever came by to see if we wanted more tea or refills on water. Overall a poor experience.
We truly enjoyed our afternoon tea. The service was wonderful, the tea & scones were delicious and presented on a lovely 3-tier tray. Would strongly recommend to anyone.
Our servers, Leo and Zafar, were attentive, friendly and fabulous. Enjoyged lovely afternoon tea and would return again.
Their High Tea service is amazing! The Icy Mint Green Tea is absolutely delicious!
Had a delightful mother-daughter tea. Relaxing and delicious!
My friend Dawn and I had a wonderful time at the Pierre Hotel for a Royal High Tea experience. The ambiance was quiet and lovely. Our server Anton was so nice, courteous and professional. The salmon and cucumber sandwiches were so delicious! We highly recommend this High Tea if you are in NYC.
Great place for afternoon tea. Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Service was excellent.
Great and helpful.
Sunday afternoon tea at the Pierre Hotel, "Two E" restaurant, was fabulous! The meal is made up of 3 tiers of delicious and beautifully assembled pieces, from savory to sweet. The small bites and the desserts are works of art - and wonderfully delicious. Highly recommend!
Perfect night for drinks and listening to a great piano player! Highly recommend!
This is the second time I've had tea there and it is a lovely event. The three tiers of treats are enjoyable although I'd prefer more of the sandwiches and scones than the sweet desserts as it is difficult to enjoy them after you have eaten all the other items. Also although they gave us hot water, the tea really doesn't stay hot or even warm. My granddaughter was extremely happy with her herbal tea and with the whole experience. I thought she might think it was a little stodgy but she loved it. We are both foodies so we loved tasting everything. All and all it was a nice experience.
Excellent sandwiches and good substitutions for non-meat items- scones delicious- wish they used the pretty room for afternoon tea- year’s ago they used to- u
Lovely experience, impeccable staff. My favorite special occasion place with nice ambiance and good spacing. Elegant and casual atmosphere.
Afternoon tea was amazing! Thank you to Thomas and Bright!
Loved our time there. Great service. They let you take your time, no rushing.
Only thing is that, even with 50 percent off, $100 for 2 is a lot considering the portions are teeny, tiny bites and not good. Really really spicy(if you choose the Tiffin and tea. Tiffin is a light bite in India. Like little appetizers that you might get standing up at a fund raiser. Except, no dinner following. The sweets were rather boring. Forget this if you don’ t white Wonder bread. However, we overlooked ALL that simply becuz it was such a beautiful, classy room in which to wile away a late afternoon.
Next time, we’d go with the English tea and give that a try.
We were there for the tea service. Other than the egg salad the tea sandwiches were extraordinarily small- half bites. Usually you have to eat a tea sandwich in 2 bites. The sandwiches themselves were just OK - have been to many teas and sadly this o e was the bottom of my list. Will not ever do it again.
Wonderful afternoon tea had lots of variety and although items are small you get a lot of food. Service was exceptional
Wonderful service and excellent food quality. Will definitely have afternoon tea here again.
Sandwiches and savories were extraordinary!! Tea was okay. Overall Ambience was elegant. Excellent for gals out.
I brought my wonderful assistant Stephanie out for a Royal High Tea Experience at the Pierre Hotel. Our waiter was Mr. Bright Brown and he was so lovely, professional and courteous. He went the extra mile in providing such a wonderful experience. We loved the cucumber sandwiches, lobster and the scones! I will be back soon!
The hotel is severely outdated and service needs some major brushing up. One person in my party got sick from some bad pastry cream but the food bites were pretty decent. The maitre D needs to polish his attitude towards guests as well.
Took my daughter for her 26 birthday . The service was great , food delicious and wonderful service .
Two E Bar and Lounge is one of the great places for afternoon tea. My friends and I love having our summer get together there.
Pre Mother’s Day High Tea celebration. Had the Royal High Tea Service, superb service with delicious mini sandwiches and abundance of sweets!! Great ambience and experience!
I LOVED THE SERVICE! The staff was lovely and very attentive. The drinks were wonderful as well. They were reasonably priced.
My husband & I were celebrating my birthday post Downton Abbey exhibition...I was looking so forward to this for a week..the food was fine, but unfortunately our server was horrible. His snobbish attitude, the fact that it took a good 20min to even be acknowledged even with the reservation which we had. He only took our initial order, brought our tea tower and pots of tea..and then disappeared. He never returned to check in on us, offer us perhaps a bottle of champagne to order, acknowledge the special occasion we were celebrating.. absolutely nothing. For that reason alone, I would never return nor recommend this venue for an afternoon high tea when in NYC.
Beautiful bar inside the Pierre Hotel. We were staying at the Pierre and went down for cocktails 2 out of the 3 nights we were there. Lovely bar snacks and delicious handcrafted cocktails. Live Jazz on the weekends. Very memorable experience.
two for tea-excellent service very considerate but not pushy. food good and plentiful and staff provided us with boxes to take home!
We have done afternoon tea at the Pierre many times. The food and the atmosphere are always perfect. On this last occasion, the service was a little underwhelming. After being served, we were set to ignore by the wait staff and had to flag them or the hostess down if we wanted anything. Putting this minor slight aside, we would definitely go there again.
Had a lovely high tea with family visiting from overseas and it was made even better by a surprise proposal at the end! All the staff were so so good with helping my fiancé coordinate the surprise. Thank you for an unforgettable day!
This was my second visit and as before I enjoyed myself. The first time I brought my 15 year old granddaughter and she was very much impressed with the experience of having High Tea and this time I brought a friend for a long overdue get together. My friend is looking forward to returning and I just might join her . Thank You E Bar keep up the good work.
We were treated with indifference , service was slow and the room is dingy compared to the other areas of the Pierre. The Plaza offers a much better tea service and experience in NYC
It is fantastic experience. Service is awesome. Highly recommend.
Wonderful experience. Tea, food and service were all excellent.
