Originally the Gentlemen’s Library when The Pierre opened in 1930, Two E Bar & Lounge has become one of the hotel's most beloved venues. A Neo-Classical lounge, it is designed to reflect a chic Upper East Side residence. Two E's coveted traditional Afternoon Tea menu--recently rated the best in New York City by Town & Country magazine-- is created by a full in-house pastry team. The lounge's new Tiffin & Tea service offers a modern take on a classic Indian and British tradition. At night, Two E transforms into a stylish bar that serves up handcrafted cocktails complemented by small plates. Two E offers exciting entertainment, from live jazz on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings to a monthly cabaret series, Broadway At The Pierre, featuring talent from the best of musical theater.

Loved our time there. Great service. They let you take your time, no rushing.
Only thing is that, even with 50 percent off, $100 for 2 is a lot considering the portions are teeny, tiny bites and not good. Really really spicy(if you choose the Tiffin and tea. Tiffin is a light bite in India. Like little appetizers that you might get standing up at a fund raiser. Except, no dinner following. The sweets were rather boring. Forget this if you don’ t white Wonder bread. However, we overlooked ALL that simply becuz it was such a beautiful, classy room in which to wile away a late afternoon.
Next time, we’d go with the English tea and give that a try.

We were there for the tea service. Other than the egg salad the tea sandwiches were extraordinarily small- half bites. Usually you have to eat a tea sandwich in 2 bites. The sandwiches themselves were just OK - have been to many teas and sadly this o e was the bottom of my list. Will not ever do it again.

The hotel is severely outdated and service needs some major brushing up. One person in my party got sick from some bad pastry cream but the food bites were pretty decent. The maitre D needs to polish his attitude towards guests as well.

My husband & I were celebrating my birthday post Downton Abbey exhibition...I was looking so forward to this for a week..the food was fine, but unfortunately our server was horrible. His snobbish attitude, the fact that it took a good 20min to even be acknowledged even with the reservation which we had. He only took our initial order, brought our tea tower and pots of tea..and then disappeared. He never returned to check in on us, offer us perhaps a bottle of champagne to order, acknowledge the special occasion we were celebrating.. absolutely nothing. For that reason alone, I would never return nor recommend this venue for an afternoon high tea when in NYC.

Beautiful bar inside the Pierre Hotel. We were staying at the Pierre and went down for cocktails 2 out of the 3 nights we were there. Lovely bar snacks and delicious handcrafted cocktails. Live Jazz on the weekends. Very memorable experience.

We have done afternoon tea at the Pierre many times. The food and the atmosphere are always perfect. On this last occasion, the service was a little underwhelming. After being served, we were set to ignore by the wait staff and had to flag them or the hostess down if we wanted anything. Putting this minor slight aside, we would definitely go there again.

Had a lovely high tea with family visiting from overseas and it was made even better by a surprise proposal at the end! All the staff were so so good with helping my fiancé coordinate the surprise. Thank you for an unforgettable day!

This was my second visit and as before I enjoyed myself. The first time I brought my 15 year old granddaughter and she was very much impressed with the experience of having High Tea and this time I brought a friend for a long overdue get together. My friend is looking forward to returning and I just might join her . Thank You E Bar keep up the good work.

We were treated with indifference , service was slow and the room is dingy compared to the other areas of the Pierre. The Plaza offers a much better tea service and experience in NYC

My group we enjoyed everything about our afternoon tea. If I had to mention cons, the only thing I would say is the table was a little bit too small for four. However everything else outweighed that one issue. Thank you to Erika, our host.

We spent 160 USD dollars for 2 people afternoon tea, most dessert are great taste, but service do not match equally with the hotel brand.
I even help myself doing the doggie bag,
the waiter just give a empty plastics box and a paper bag.
Also heard no such words like : hello, welcome or goodbye from the waiters.
They only say thank you when you have no choice but must tip them.
Never come back again.

Our children treated my husband and myself to the Royal Tea for four. We brought two dear friends with us. What a wonderfully relaxing time enjoying afternoon tea in such a lovely setting. The tea offerings were absolutely delicious and served beautifully. We have enjoyed tea in New York and London and on the Queen Mary several times. The sandwiches, scones and sweets were flawless. We look forward to our next visit.

The Two E Bar and Lounge at the Pierre Hotel for High Tea is the perfect place to sit and talk with friends in a beautiful, luxurious atmosphere. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The tea choices are vast and well explained. I would reccomend splurging for the royal high tea which includes a generous glass of champagne. The Staff gives you plenty of attention without the feeling of rushing you out.

Afternoon tea takes place in the hotel bar/lounge. The setting itself is upscale but not overly so. I highly recommend spending extra for the Royal Afternoon Tea. It is accompanied with a glass of champagne. After running late due to traffic nightmares, the hostess was extremely gracious and welcoming upon arrival. Tea consists of a pot of your choice and a selection of sandwiches, scones, and pastries. Upon request, the waiter was kind enough to sub out a sandwich for another selection. The egg salad and salmon were our favorites. Everything tasted fresh (no stale bread or stale pastries) on our visit. The only feedback I have are I wish the waiter came around to check on us - aside from taking our order and delivering our tea/meal, he didn't return, and the portions seemed smaller than what I'm used to, but still filling.

Service started out great, but went downhill. I think they were understaffed (?). Didn’t get a refill of hot water for the tea until the end. Tea sandwiches were beautiful, but the bread was dry. The freshly baked scones were divine. Asked to have the remaining cookies boxed to take back to the room. Was hurriedly given a container and bag, rather than being assisted. Tea is served in the bar, so not really an elegant setting. No tablecloth. Prefer the afternoon tea at the St Regis.

Would not recommend for afternoon tea, even with a Groupon. Food was clearly premade and stale as if it came from a cheap buffet line. You’re better off at a real afternoon tea experience at the Plaza right across the street.

Fun. Server was great
High tea is fancy and cool
It’s finger foods so it’s a snack but they give you a lot
It’s expensive if you look at it like what u get vs what it costs but u have to just do it for the experience
I took a business client and it was perfect

We enjoyed the experience overall. Considering the upscale nature of the Pierre hotel and the restaurant, It was a bit surprising that no one offered to take our coats so we just put them on the couches. The table where we sat had several scratches on it. I understand that they don't use tableclothes so they should probably fix the table or remove it.
