Two Chefs Ratings and Reviews
The food was delicious as always. I was there with a friend and wanted a leisurely lunch so we could spend time catching up. As the lunch went on, I remembered why I hadn’t been there in a while—the last time I was there with another friend, the same waiter hovered and kept asking if we wanted anything else. He seemed annoyed that we were sitting too long. He did the same thing on this visit. I don’t like spending my money and being made to feel as if I am imposing by NOT eating and running. No meal is worth that.
This was the darkest restaurant ve ever been in. The waiter was inattentive, but polite. His attitude turned slightly annoys because we were ordering the Miami spice menu. Didn't offer any lighting to read menu. Only came back after dessert to present bill.
To me, Two Chefs is a secret neighborhood restaurant that deserves to be shared with anyone hungry for great food in the southeastern United States. A perfectly crafted menu with multiple choices, all fresh, fulfilling and delicious, as well as the most wordly-stocked bar and most skilled bartender anywhere! With staff and servers who make you feel comfortably right at home. This is my favorite meal house.
Jan greeted us at the door, and the experience was outstanding. We took advantage of the Miami Spice menu, which was a great value for this level of cuisine. Branzino fileted perfectly, Ahi tuna with orzo, the souffles...all excellent. Very nice cocktail and wine nemus, as well. Will repeat.
We celebrated my parent's 60th anniversary. Access to the restaurant was very easy for my parents. Service was friendly and excellent. The food was delicious. 2 Chefs is a neighborhood restaurant. Many locals enjoy dining either in dining room or at the bar. Juan is one of the best bartenders in Miami.
Excellent food and surprisingly elegant setting hidden in a strip mall.
We live very far from this place (an hour from our house) so we don't get here often but the food is excellent and frankly, the place is worth the drive .
Consistently excellent food for over 15 years now. They have a wood oven so the flat breads are amazing. Every main dish we had was cooked perfectly including a perfectly rare tuna steak and a juicy pork chop. French fries are perfectly crispy as well, , though I would prefer a skinnier fry.
Best of all, they make fabulous soufflés for dessert. Order both the grand mariner and the chocolate. Worth every single calorie!
First visit- outstanding service- everyone friendly-varied menu- very good food- entrees can be a tad pricey, but in this instance you do get what you pay for including large portions, and their three course offerings are a value at ($45) for what you get. Only complaint- could use some less expensive choices on the wine list. Will go back- definitely recommend it.
Highly recommend! Our food was fantastic, but the service was a little slow to start. Classic cocktails were done well. We had moist and meaty Bronzino, luchious double cut pork chop, mushroom flatbread, New York strip cooked medium rare ( a little fatty, but flavorful). Accompaniments were delightful, and the soufflés for dessert were melt in your mouth. We had reservations through open table.
Sadly, the poor service detracts from the excellent food at Two Chefs. The food has always consistently been excellent but for our last three visits over the past 12 months, the service has been consistently poor. We've continued to go back because it's so close, but I think this time was our last unless we hear from friends that there has been improvement. Service issues: 1. On a Friday night at the end of the work week, one guest was desperate for a drink. We had to wave down a waiter (not ours) to get served. 2. One guest has an illness that affects coordination, so we had asked to have her steak cut into bite-size pieces when we ordered. It wasn't done. When we asked and reiterated "bite-size pieces" he came back with the steak sliced. We had to ask again to which he answered that "the butcher is busy." (All we needed was for him to take the plate and cut the slices into bites!) 3. For leftovers, my husband's steak and fries were put into the same container with my chicken breast & veg! Yuck!
The menu changes seasonally but with plenty of choices, so everyone should not have trouble finding something appealing. Although in a party of four none of us ordered it, there is a 3 course dinner for $45 which is of good value, though not all items on the regular menu were included. Our only complaint was that the waiter was not very attentive - seemed more interested in chatting with the staff than in helping us.
