We attended Sunday Jazz Brunch. The food was varied and very good. The music was fabulous - Keyboard and Bass player. And the ambiance of the Barrel Room was conducive to conversation. We’ll be back.

We made a reservation through Open Table for 2 people at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 10th, 2018. The own Twisted Vine Bistro website states that they are open on Sundays from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, as well as the trip advisor website, too. We received the confirmation of our reservation from Open Table by email. We drove the 40 miles to downtown Fort Myers and were punctual at the restaurant. A sign at the door advised to go through the bar, which we tried. In the bar, the manager of the Twisted Vine Bistro told us that the brunch ended at 2:00 PM. We informed him that we had a confirmed reservation for a table at 2:00 PM. He responded that the Twisted Vine Bistro doesn't open before 4:00 PM. We showed him the reservation with confirmation. The manager explained that it must be software glitch from Open Table. We pointed out that the restaurants own website states that they should be open. He repeated that they are closed now. He didn't apologize, nor tried to offset their mistake and the impact it had for us. A manager, who changes the opening times for his restaurant and doesn't care to update their website or inform their reservation site partner is not competent to lead a restaurant No food and not even trying is probably the worst "meal" we have ever (not) received.

In over 40+ years of dining out I never have had such a lousy experience as June 7fh’s at Twisted Vine. What are the chances that 1 plate will be brought out cold (room temperature), 1 in a million? How about a second different serving also brought out cold (again food was room temperature)? 1 in a billion?
We came here as part of “Sizzle”, the South West Florida Restaurant Week. We ordered from the special menu and the Brussels sprouts appetizer came out cool. (Ironically the server warned us not to touch the cast iron pan because it was “hot”.) I walked the pan back to her with my bare hands and explained the cold condition. She apologized and brought back a properly cooked plate.
We’d eaten at Twisted Vine a few times before, so I cut them some slack. Bad idea.
The entrees were then brought out and while the fish was properly cooked, the short ribs were also room temperature cold. I brought the cold plate back to the expediter/manager and told her that this was the second cold plate and that we were leaving. (One would’ve thought that someone would make sure that there was not a repeat of the first mistake).
As we were leaving the waiter came running after me demanding that I pay for the bottle of half open by the glass rose. After trying to reason with him I gave the restaurant the $32.50 and left. I’d seen that others were comped for poor service, but we were not.
Bottom line: the cooking staff cannot properly prepare food and the management and wait staff are clueless about how to care for customers.
We went next door to Firestone where the plates were delicious and prepared properly and our server could not have been nicer.

There was a new menu and even though we like our usuals some of the new stuff was really good. The risotto was really interesting and the pork was cooked perfectly. Our waiter was AWESOME!!!!! He knew his stuff and we are New Yorkers so not always easy to please

Went for Mother’s Day brunch. Overpriced, disorganized, buffet dishes uncovered, sitting on the bar for anyone to sneeze or have their hair fall into. $40 per person didn’t include soft beverages. Only thing included was 20% gratuity that was automatically charged to our bill. Food was mediocre at best.

Menu was on the small side with safe, familiar choices. Food was delightful, excellent and well prepared. Atmosphere was pleasant if a bit on the loud side. Staff seemed aloof at first but quickly proved to be attentive and professional. Will definitely return. (Oh, the, ahem, artwork in the men’s room is not to be missed.)

Every thing we ordered was excellent! Nice portions (except the kale... any kale is too much kale as far I’m concerned :) The orange cake was delicious, and a nice change from the typical dessert offerings.

Called in advance to make sure my Barada salad was still on the menu for 1230 lunch. Arrive there to find out that the twisted vine was not open but their sister store next-door was an only serve brunch very very very disappointed driving all the way From Naples to Fort Myers. We sat down and looked at the menu and left will never come back again bad representation of the restaurant

I rarely leave reviews, however, I feel it is appropriate because Twisted Vine proved to be exceptional from appetizers to dessert. The calamari was the best I ever had. I got scallops as an entree, and I have to put them on the "best ever" category too! Dessert was bread pudding which was off the charts! You will not be disappointed!

The hostess was a doll when seating us, tons of options and was super sweet. Our server was attentive; and checked on us frequently per norm. Cheeseboard was average, and got way less of 1 cheese in comparison to the others. When we boxed up the remainder, Ive always gotten extra honeycomb to go, and was told “oh I’ll have to charge you for that.” (I’ve never been charged, but sure, that’s fine). Then was told they ran out... it’s a staple item on their menu... bizarre. The pasta is normally amazing, and was subpar this time. I would’ve given 5 stars without these hiccups. We will be back, as it’s not the norm. Still good!

The waiter was very friendly. Some of the food was very good, some was too salty and the salad was soggy. The delivery was very disorganized. We got the wrong appetizer, so the correct one was promised which arrived after we received our main course. Salad was also late (and soggy) and served with the main course. We had heard very good things about the restaurant, brought friends from out of town, but were very disappointed and will not return.

WE had a lovely dinner this restaurant. It was a combination business/friends meeting. We were seated at a long table that was absolutely perfect for conversation. Our waiter was very unobtrusive, waiting for the conversation to ebb before interrupting to offer another course.

We began with the Brussels sprouts - they were good, and an order of calamari - it was amazing! Two of us had the special of the night - sirloin roast and vegetables. It was delicious. 2 others had the snapper, and my husband enjoyed the shrimp and grits. We all agreed that we would order the same dish again - so I think that is a good sign!

Easter brunch.
Neither OpenTable not the restaurant website indicated it was buffet only at $40 per adult.
Probably because we had 7 people a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill; however since it was buffet the only “service” was to deliver our drinks - which our server did a very poor job at.

We arrived at 1 for our reservation. We were seated promptly. We were 6 adults and 2 toddlers. We requested high chairs that were available. We asked for water for the table and milk for the kids. We were told they had no milk (for brunch) we then told them the kids (2.5 years old) were going to have water. They were served in glasses (glass). We requested plastic glasses, they gave is plastic glasses with no lids. We ordered drinks and our food. The drinks came promptly and were good. We ordered 5 different Benedict eggs (classic, crab and salmon) a french toast and a burger. After 30 minutes of waiting we asked if they had bread, the waitress said they do not serve bread with brunch. After another 15 minutes with cranky kids and honestly adults, we asked what was going on with out food. They told us the kitchen was backed up (restaurant was almost empty) that it was going to take another 20 minutes. At this point we were disappointed to say the least. Finally the food arrived, it was cold. Flavors were good but hollandaise was cold. We asked for the manager. He came and told us he only had two people in the kitchen that he was going to give us a 50% discount. The experience was terrible, the other table was complaining about the same. They should have turned on the ovens and offer bread, offer a round of free drinks, anything to make such a long wait feel better. We used to like dinners there but over the years we noticed the service and food was getting worse and worse. This topped it off. They lost a client. Do not have brunch with Twisted Vine unless you have an hour to wait for eggs and like cold food once it finally arrives. They do not even have something for the table (such as a pastry basket or even bread as they are unwilling to turn on the oven to serve it). The manager told me it was not fair for me to leave a poor review given he gave us a 50% discount. I disagree. Our brunch was ruined. We rather pay full price.

We have always loved Twisted Vine. We brought four people and raved about the calamari. It was awful. Hardly any calamari. Mostly batter, onions and peppers. The waitress handled the situation very well and did not charge us for the calamari. The rest of the meal was just ok. We were told that there was a new chef in December but we were there for New Years Eve and it was fine. We will be reluctant to return.

We went after a Red Sox Game, thought it was closer to the park but it was a solid 25 minutes away. WELL worth the trip! Lively atmosphere, with valet service out front. I had the steak tip salad which was great, steak was cooked perfectly and salad was not over dressed. My husband had the chicken and he also said it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and attentive even though it was very busy. Live music was nice and not crazy loud. We would definitely go back.

Very disappointing to have a reservation and sit at a table in front of the door-with hostesses bumping our chairs all evening. We should have offered the hostesses some food,I asked hostess for straws and she did bring them to me in her bare hands-stupid and gross place them in a glass! Service was mediocre at best-waiter needed help and didn't smile until he left the bill. Our vacation was short and it's over so pretty disappointing for our only night out with relatives.

We come here frequently and love it. The hostess originally refused to move us from a table right in front of the door with a multitude of other tables open; however, the server immediately moved us seeing how uncomfortable the location was. The rest of the experience was 100%! The cheese board and Malbec were great as usual, and my son and I split a wedge salad and filet. Was cooked to perfection, and all great!

This is our third visit to the Twisted Vine. The food is always consistently good and service is very good. It is a bit loud at times but not too bad. The calamari is excellent and the pork shank is usually excellent, but this time a little dry. We needed to ask for more sauce. It is a bit pricy, however, but would recommend this restaurant for date night or visiting friends.
