The food was really good and the live jazz music was excellent
I had no idea when I booked this reservation that it would be for a buffet. I had been there previous years for Mother’s Day brunch and it was not a buffet.
Mother’s Day it was a surprise only $39 buffet was served. No mention of this when I booked
Went for Mother’s Day brunch. Overpriced, disorganized, buffet dishes uncovered, sitting on the bar for anyone to sneeze or have their hair fall into. $40 per person didn’t include soft beverages. Only thing included was 20% gratuity that was automatically charged to our bill. Food was mediocre at best.
Great food and atmosphere.
Menu was on the small side with safe, familiar choices. Food was delightful, excellent and well prepared. Atmosphere was pleasant if a bit on the loud side. Staff seemed aloof at first but quickly proved to be attentive and professional. Will definitely return. (Oh, the, ahem, artwork in the men’s room is not to be missed.)
Every thing we ordered was excellent! Nice portions (except the kale... any kale is too much kale as far I’m concerned :) The orange cake was delicious, and a nice change from the typical dessert offerings.
Called in advance to make sure my Barada salad was still on the menu for 1230 lunch. Arrive there to find out that the twisted vine was not open but their sister store next-door was an only serve brunch very very very disappointed driving all the way From Naples to Fort Myers. We sat down and looked at the menu and left will never come back again bad representation of the restaurant
I rarely leave reviews, however, I feel it is appropriate because Twisted Vine proved to be exceptional from appetizers to dessert. The calamari was the best I ever had. I got scallops as an entree, and I have to put them on the "best ever" category too! Dessert was bread pudding which was off the charts! You will not be disappointed!
Loooooved the burger with bacon and melted Brie and the lobster Mac! Sat at the high tops by the window, was a very nice dining experience.
Service was extremely slow and hard to find our server.
Food was good although slow in arriving. There seemed to be some bad vibes among serving staff.
The hostess was a doll when seating us, tons of options and was super sweet. Our server was attentive; and checked on us frequently per norm. Cheeseboard was average, and got way less of 1 cheese in comparison to the others. When we boxed up the remainder, Ive always gotten extra honeycomb to go, and was told “oh I’ll have to charge you for that.” (I’ve never been charged, but sure, that’s fine). Then was told they ran out... it’s a staple item on their menu... bizarre. The pasta is normally amazing, and was subpar this time. I would’ve given 5 stars without these hiccups. We will be back, as it’s not the norm. Still good!
just a great place to go before the theater downtownn or really for any occasion ,,,,tasty and reasonable
We were there during happy hour. Drinks and appetizers were great
The waiter was very friendly. Some of the food was very good, some was too salty and the salad was soggy. The delivery was very disorganized. We got the wrong appetizer, so the correct one was promised which arrived after we received our main course. Salad was also late (and soggy) and served with the main course. We had heard very good things about the restaurant, brought friends from out of town, but were very disappointed and will not return.
Great Service before the Friday night show at the Rep Theater
Great waiter great table, food was clean well proportioned, etc
will go back !
Location and parking such a treat definately a recommend
WE had a lovely dinner this restaurant. It was a combination business/friends meeting. We were seated at a long table that was absolutely perfect for conversation. Our waiter was very unobtrusive, waiting for the conversation to ebb before interrupting to offer another course.
We began with the Brussels sprouts - they were good, and an order of calamari - it was amazing! Two of us had the special of the night - sirloin roast and vegetables. It was delicious. 2 others had the snapper, and my husband enjoyed the shrimp and grits. We all agreed that we would order the same dish again - so I think that is a good sign!
Neither OpenTable not the restaurant website indicated it was buffet only at $40 per adult.
Probably because we had 7 people a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill; however since it was buffet the only “service” was to deliver our drinks - which our server did a very poor job at.
Always great cuisine and service. The portions size is outstanding with a great price point.
We arrived at 1 for our reservation. We were seated promptly. We were 6 adults and 2 toddlers. We requested high chairs that were available. We asked for water for the table and milk for the kids. We were told they had no milk (for brunch) we then told them the kids (2.5 years old) were going to have water. They were served in glasses (glass). We requested plastic glasses, they gave is plastic glasses with no lids. We ordered drinks and our food. The drinks came promptly and were good. We ordered 5 different Benedict eggs (classic, crab and salmon) a french toast and a burger. After 30 minutes of waiting we asked if they had bread, the waitress said they do not serve bread with brunch. After another 15 minutes with cranky kids and honestly adults, we asked what was going on with out food. They told us the kitchen was backed up (restaurant was almost empty) that it was going to take another 20 minutes. At this point we were disappointed to say the least. Finally the food arrived, it was cold. Flavors were good but hollandaise was cold. We asked for the manager. He came and told us he only had two people in the kitchen that he was going to give us a 50% discount. The experience was terrible, the other table was complaining about the same. They should have turned on the ovens and offer bread, offer a round of free drinks, anything to make such a long wait feel better. We used to like dinners there but over the years we noticed the service and food was getting worse and worse. This topped it off. They lost a client. Do not have brunch with Twisted Vine unless you have an hour to wait for eggs and like cold food once it finally arrives. They do not even have something for the table (such as a pastry basket or even bread as they are unwilling to turn on the oven to serve it). The manager told me it was not fair for me to leave a poor review given he gave us a 50% discount. I disagree. Our brunch was ruined. We rather pay full price.
We have always loved Twisted Vine. We brought four people and raved about the calamari. It was awful. Hardly any calamari. Mostly batter, onions and peppers. The waitress handled the situation very well and did not charge us for the calamari. The rest of the meal was just ok. We were told that there was a new chef in December but we were there for New Years Eve and it was fine. We will be reluctant to return.
All ratings are "very good" but understand that it is an "active" spot, not conducive to a quiet conversation.
The food was tasty and the wine list had a sufficient variety at fair prices. The only flaw was a limited dessert menu.
Waitress was excellent and so pleasant, even though she had all the tables and the bar since they were short staffed!
Never been disappointed! Service is always awesome ! Thanks so much our friends are always impressed when we take them here !
We went after a Red Sox Game, thought it was closer to the park but it was a solid 25 minutes away. WELL worth the trip! Lively atmosphere, with valet service out front. I had the steak tip salad which was great, steak was cooked perfectly and salad was not over dressed. My husband had the chicken and he also said it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and attentive even though it was very busy. Live music was nice and not crazy loud. We would definitely go back.
Very disappointing to have a reservation and sit at a table in front of the door-with hostesses bumping our chairs all evening. We should have offered the hostesses some food,I asked hostess for straws and she did bring them to me in her bare hands-stupid and gross place them in a glass! Service was mediocre at best-waiter needed help and didn't smile until he left the bill. Our vacation was short and it's over so pretty disappointing for our only night out with relatives.
Good location. Easy walk to the main street for the events in old fort Meyers. Service was very friendly. A bit crowded and tight quarters. Seafood was absolutely wonderful. Had a good bottle of wine entrées and appetizers For a reasonable price. Reservations are suggested. I would go back.
The hostess insisted that we need to sit right by the door, even though the place was empty; poor service; real stupid! We left shortly afterwards.
We come here frequently and love it. The hostess originally refused to move us from a table right in front of the door with a multitude of other tables open; however, the server immediately moved us seeing how uncomfortable the location was. The rest of the experience was 100%! The cheese board and Malbec were great as usual, and my son and I split a wedge salad and filet. Was cooked to perfection, and all great!
This is our third visit to the Twisted Vine. The food is always consistently good and service is very good. It is a bit loud at times but not too bad. The calamari is excellent and the pork shank is usually excellent, but this time a little dry. We needed to ask for more sauce. It is a bit pricy, however, but would recommend this restaurant for date night or visiting friends.
The best thing about the meal was the salads. They were very good and portions were plentiful. The main dishes on the other hand were very overpriced for what you get. Food was just so so.
The cheeseboard was delicious, so I would definitely recommend it. I miss the honeycomb that used to come with it, but still great! I had the scallops, and my kiddo had the burger and fries. Both were great! Wine selection is good too. I’ll be back!
Overall experience was very nice. They were out of Brie, which isn’t a big deal unless you had your heart set on their Brie burger... they subbed Boursin, and it was still good, just not what I was craving. Wine list was solid- even the lower end Pinot noir was quite tasty! Server seemed slightly put off by the low price tag on our check ($80 for two) but I wasn’t looking for a food coma, just a couple of apps and wine. It was ideal for that and I will definitely return.
My husband and I frequently have cocktails and tapas here before a show at Florida Rep. Have not dined here in quite a while but have had good experiences in the past. We had house guests in from other areas of FL and thought this would work for a good downtown Fort Myers experience. We (party of 8) were late for our 7:30 reservation but were graciously seated at 7:50. That was the end of the good experience....my favorite apps were sold out....drinks were slow to come.... and dinners (mostly the scallops) were not served until after 10:30 and were so mediocre and disappointing! (still miss the chef from long ago and his luscious scallops with black forbidden rice!) The food was only fair, the service inadequate and although the server brought us unsolicited complimentary desserts....a lovely gesture....but not good enough to correct the experience.
6 of us went for dinner, we had a wonderful time a really fun place with wonderful food & service, would recommend this restaurant totally.
A little overpriced for breakfast food and the food was not hot. Went to the Jazz brunch for a birthday celebration and the band played "Happy Birthday" which was very nice. However they took roughly a 20-30 min. break after an hour of warming up (not really playing) during what was only a 3+/- hour brunch, and the main reason we picked Twisted Vine was for the music, so that was disappointing. But the server was exceptional.
Very good selection of food, very tasty. Excellent service. Tastefully decorated.
Always an amazing dinner and service.
