Twisted vine is always a fabulous experience!
The third and probably our last time dining at Twisted Vine. It feels like it’s stuck in the 90s. The food was uninspired and over salted. Our server felt the need to insert herself into our evening, telling us about her entire work history, dogs, dislike for Brussels sprouts and alcohol (except TGI Friday’s Fruit Punch), and health problems. She tried to sell us on one of the specials, the Filet Oscar, by characterizing it as “never been sent back.” Oh, that sounds appetizing! As I write this, I feel like I provided too many stars - three might be too generous.
We can’t wait to return. Filet of beef was outstanding. After dinner you got through the side door which connects to the Barrel Room for the world famous jazz quartet ( plus one)
Went to the Barrel Room for brunch. Good food and service. Very accommodating. Will go back.
Food was awesome, very nice portions and Scott, our server, was professional and very accommodating. Def going back again.
Expensive, small portions, no happy hour at the table, service was good, would not return.
Live Jazz Brunch. Excellent piano and bass player. Good selection - ordered off menu. Excellent Bloodies and bottomless Mimosas ($15). Adam was our server. Knowledgeable and attentive. Good for dinner too. Expansive wine list - many selections.
Food was the worst I have had. Have someone taste your pasta pomodoro It was not eatable
We ate at Twisted Vine for the 1st time on a Thursday and loved it so much we returned with friends on the following Tuesday. Food is outstanding as well as the staff and ambience. Best food we have had in Fort Myers area
It was a great night with friends! The food and waitress were great!
The service was pleasant. But the soup had to go back because it was cold. Two people in our party got the salmon and complained it wasn’t cooked through. The pork chops were also undercooked. The management did apologize.
The wine selection was very good and fairly priced.
They are not on the valet parking list,
The food was great and it is a very cute little bistro. The service was rather slow but they only had about two servers to cover the entire Mother's Day brunch, so they definitely get some slack there. Overall the experience and food were great and I will be back.
A really nice pre-theater meal with great service. Thank you!
We sat on the patio and it was very relaxing. Food is always good. It's pricey but it's a great dinning experience.
We frequent this restaurant often - actually been here 3 times in the last 3 weeks. Great waitress yet extremely poor food service. We waited an 1-1/2 for our meal. Had four other tables come in after us who got their food before us. Our waitress kept apologizing- we knew it wasn’t her fault. Restaurant manager or owner never acknowledged us - would have been the right thing to do. Not sure we will be back any time soon.
Yes I would recommend Twisted Vine but with a caveat. Eight of us arrived for our six o’clock reservation early and were seated in a timely manner. Our waiter, Antonio was friendly but scattered. We had theater seats for an eight pm show and made our concerns known. Finally at sene ten our food was served. I believe a manager and owner had to help in the kitchen to expedite things. My Halibut special was good not great and the price of forty dollars was made known to me at the presentation of the bill.
Allow time and check prices for a better dining experience.
The food was over cooked but tasty. We won’t go again since the cost was much higher than the quality of the food.
Our scallops and salmon were first rate, along with the spinach side served with the salmon. However, the jasmine rice that was served with both dishes was nothing but mush and should never have left the kitchen. It looked like glue, and a chef at a restaurant of this caliber knows better than to let it leave his kitchen. The asparagus served with the scallops was also tough and stringy, not at all what we've come to expect here. Our server was gracious and gave us a flourless chocolate cake that was amazing. We will be back, but hopefully these issues will have been fixed.
Excellent food and service. We love the intimacy of this small resteraunt.
This was our first time at the Bistro; we went to the Sunday jazz brunch. Everything about the meal/visit was exceptional and we can't wait to go back!
Service is very good. The bloody Mary's come with 3 stuffed olives, spicy just the way I like it. The eggs potato and ham cooked just right. The two piece jazz band played great music. Looking forward to going back soon.
The wine selection was good. Scallops dish was overpriced at 38$, small and the rice was over cooked and without much flavor.
Our server also tended bar. Hopefully he did a better job at that than he did taking care of our table of six.
Ordered a bottle of wine. Server never refilled wine glasses.Food was overcooked nearly burnt. Third time there. First time was good for dinner. Second time was lunch and it was barely adequate. 3rd time recently was dinner. As previously stated not very good. Definitely not worth the money.
We went to dinner with some family and were seated in the courtyard. On first look it was pretty with lights but it need a little attention to the cleanliness and clutter. The food was wonderful but I think because we were in the courtyard we got missed with filling of drinks and attentiveness from the server.
Excellent service and food. Enjoyed immensely!
Food was very good our server Gary was also great. We all had a good time ,the chef also came out he seemed proud of his dishes.
It was busy and my party understood that a long wait for food might be because of the busy day but when one of the meals came to the table COLD - biscuits and gravy - that wasn’t acceptable. The waiter disappeared so by the time she came back my friend didn’t want another meal. We shared our w her. Then our check came without asking about dessert. We wanted dessert again she disappeared and by the time she came back it was too late. So we paid and left. None of us will be back.
I made reservations for Sunday brunch on their website via Open Table. When we got there, we were told, they don't take reservations for Sunday brunch and had they had no tables open. They sat us and a few others in the other side of their restaurant. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and stressed out and a had a bit of an attitude. The food was awesome, as always.
Jazz brunch. The music was great, and the food was excellent, but the service was not good. They seemed understaffed, and we were ignored for long periods of time
We sat outdoor on a beautiful night with great friends! The wine and service were very good but the food was mediocre at best 😔
Overall disappointed and wonted return.
The snapper was so tough I couldn't cut through it. The rest of the meals were fine.
This restaurant was packed pre-theater. Great music from a solo sax player. Our waiter, Antonio, was professional and efficiency despite many demands for his attention. The menu had many good choices. We have enjoyed dinner here a few times and will continue to return.
We had a party of five and everyone was very pleased with their dinner. The seafood dishes and the steak-frites were particularly tasty. The service is efficient and friendly. Apparently they had some trouble a few months ago serving people in a timely manner but that has been completely resolved. We definitely recommend this as one of the best restaurants in Fort Myers and the area it is in is very pretty!
So everything that you've previously read about Twisted Bistro is true: food is good, wait time is abysmal. Six of us stopped by for lunch mid week, arriving at 12:30 pm. Including us, there were a total of 12 diners in the restaurant while we were there. We had to wait about 15 minutes to place our order, and another 90 minutes for our food to be prepared and delivered to our table. While we all enjoyed our meals, the restaurant is clearly understaffed, and the business has clearly suffered because of the ongoing hotel construction across the street.
Waiter was to pushy about wine wanting us to buy a more expensive bottle. Then they did not have bottle we asked for.
A very appealing spot in downtown Fort Myers. We were there on a busy, pleasant Friday evening. The service by Tim was quick, friendly and professional without “hovering”.
The drinks were tasty. The food was excellent. We would return again.
I read all the negative reviews before we went so I was not expecting a good experience. We were going to the theater that evening. When we arrived the hostess asked about the theater first thing. When our waiter, Antonio, came immediately to wait on us that was his first question. We ordered wine and then shared a salad. I had a lovely shrimp entry and my husband had soup and two terrific appetizers. Antonio was very attentive, our food arrived promptly and we had to linger over a shared dessert because we still had plenty of time. We thought the restaurant was pretty. It is small and if the bar had been full, it might have been noisy, but our experience was very pleasant. I have been in the hospitality industry for 40 years so I think I know a little about service. Sometimes I think the negative writings are from people who want others to know how culturally experienced they are. And, normally, they are not.
Crowded but that’s good for the restaurant
Very nice meal. Loved it!
