Amazing! Great menu and yummy! Very nice service and friendly staff!
We wanted a meal before attending the Orpheum theatre and were pleasantly surprised
First time at Twisted Fork. We would definitely go back again. Took our two middle school boys and we all loved the bacon! Great variety on their menu.
Great food, great service in a cozy space. I recommend giving them a try!
Good food. Large portions. Service was great. Would recommend it for all.
Friendly staff and our dinners were excellent. Thank you!
Went for NYE. Was okay. They had a special menu but still allowed us to order off the regular menu, which was nice. No heads up prior to making the reservation, only days before, that there would be a special menu. Our waiter was good, we liked him. But the food was mediocre and barely warm when served. Not what we hoped our NYE dinner would be but it was good enough as we did eat our meals.
We ate here last week and decided to come back a few nights ago for our wedding anniversary. The food is very good, the service is excellent. The waitstaff couldn't be nicer. I had the ribeye and it was wonderful.
Wa very disappointed in the food. Although the vegetables were prepared wonderfully the chicken and the meatloaf were not. The meatloaf was hard and dried out, almost as if it was cut too quickly and not given time to rest. The chicken was bland and tough. Over cooked. Will not return to the restaurant.
Good food and good value. The chicken fired bacon was awesome!
I had only stepped in here one time. The food was really great. Mac and Gouda for two of the four of us, I had the steak salad which was amazing, full of lots of lettuce, mushrooms, steak and some potato strings, blue cheese, and no idea on the dressing but it was the best salad I've had in a long time! The other person in our party had the french dip and she said it was really good, but she was wishing she had ordered something else in the end. I appreciated our waitress who was not overbearing but she was very helpful and she got everything right from our drinks, to the app and on to our meal. I will definitely recommend this place and I will go again.
Mac & cheese was amazing! Regret not adding the lobster to it. Good service & cocktails.
We come to the Old Market at least once during the holidays. This may be our go to place. Food and service was great!!
Unfortunately, we showed up for our reservation this morning and there was a sign on the door stating they were closed due to remodeling. I understand unexpected things happen but there was plenty of time to send an email or phone call to let us know. I was looking forward to trying this restaurant and wish we hadn't driven to the old market to find it closed ☹️
The pork chop was super juicy! The chicken fried bacon was ok. It mostly tastes like "fried" with little pieces of chewy bacon.
Great food and service. One of my favorites in the Old Market!
Always like the fried pickles and salmon tacos were very good. Beer list is fair at best
A nice place to eat. The staff was friendly and welcoming even to the 3 small lively boys we had with us. Nice choice of foods and drinks that accommodated even our gluten intolerant people. The décor was charming and atmosphere was fun.
Overall Twisted Fork is a pretty great place to eat. Because of it's location, parking can be difficult on weekends. Some of the seating is pretty crowded. The atmosphere, I would describe as, is "rustic chic" The bathrooms could be cleaner, both times I have been here the bathrooms were a mess and yet the place wasn't that busy. I am a firm believer in, clean bathroom, clean kitchen....
Everything was wonderful!
More of a bar than a restaurant. Made reservations several hiurs in advance, specifically reauested to be seated outside or by the window, we were then seated at the back of the restaurant. The gravy for the mashed potatoes was terrible.
Awesome food! I always bring friends and family from out of town to impress them with the gourmet food and variety of drinks. The price is right too!
Their French dip is hands down the best item in their menu! Specially if you order sweet potato fries as a side!
We had a fantastic time for reverse happy hour outside!
We were seated quickly and served our wine. The restaurant was short staffed and turned away many diners. Our meal was slow but delicious when it arrived. The food didn't suffer for the wait so the chef had persisted in delivering a nice meal. Our server checked often, updated us on the food arrival, and apologized that the kitchen was behind. We didn't mind and have previously enjoyed small plates on the patio served quickly. Worth going but it was too bad they were short workers and turning away business on what could have been a bigger night with eclipse patrons and Creighton ramping up.
I just wanted to "Thank you" to all the staff for a GREAT time we had there. The service was fantastic! The staff was so fun to be with and talk to. They made you feel right at home !
My salmon was to die for .... wonderful dish with mushroom risotto and sweet potatoe pieces. Thank you again for a most enjoyable dinner and evening !
We arrived early and waited for our table to be cleaned off about twent minutes. Ordered a Nebraska staple red beer and a glass of wine. Drinks came but the tomato juice was Bloody Mary mix. Went up to the bar for tomato juice. No tomato juice could not believe no tomato juice. Chicken pot pie was good as was the steak salad. Pretty noisy lots of full tables of girls before Lady GaGa
Concert. The only recommendations from a red beer drinker is to get tomato juice or tell the wait staff only have Bloody Mary mix. Gave the beer to the next table to drink.
I was staying over in Omaha for one evening before flying out in the morning. I decided to try the Twisted Fork based on reviews on line. It was better than expected. The people were super friendly & the food was excellent. After dinner I strolled around the market area looking in the shops & enjoying a beautiful summer night. I was glad I went early because it was 1/2 price bottle of wine night and by the time I was done with dinner the entire restaurant was full.
Excellent food, it was hard to pic off of the menu because everything sounded so appetizing. You can't go wrong with anything off the menu.
Just ok. Couple of order miscues.
As always, delicious food!!! We have been here numerous times and this is one of our favorite places. If he could, my other half would lick the plate!
This menu offers "comfort food". My husband loved the chicken-fired steak! The rest of our group had the meatloaf and french dip dinners. These dinners were ok, not great. We will return again for the chicken-fried steak.
It was absolutely delicious! I had the chicken pot pie and my son had the burger at medium. Perfect!
Twisted Fork provided a great experience. The prior reservation got us a table right away with virtually no wait, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Depending on your budget, it could be viewed as a bit pricey, dinner for two including an appetizer, two dinners and two drinks was just over $50 before a tip. The food was outstanding and the portion sizes were very generous. I would recommend Twisted Fork to anyone visiting Omaha looking for a good place to eat in the Old Market.
This place exceeded our expectations! We loved the food and the drinks. Fair pricing! The waiters were very nice and the food was more than you could eat. Very good presentation for anything you get including drinks. Also, had a very good selection of happy hour prices for food and drinks. My boyfriend and I loved it. We went two times on our weekend trip to Omaha.
The mac and cheese was amazing! The wait staff was attentive, but not overbearing. A great place for a delicious, relaxed meal.
"Twisted Fork" has become our "go-to" lunch spot on our annual trek to visit family in Sioux Falls. Direct flight from Houston, drive up from Omaha ... we always arrive at lunch time. Also, do the same on the return! Pretty sure our waitstaff Maddie (sp?) took care of us last year, too ... we look forward to seeing her again. Food is always good, consistent quality and service is friendly & efficient!
Overall I've been impressed with Twisted Fork in the past. My food was pretty good but my boyfriend's was way over-salted. We waited a while to be seated because there wasn't a host or hostess, just servers grabbing people when they could.
This was my first time at Twisted Fork, so I didn't know what to expect. The ambiance is very casual, with a sort of cowboy and western theme going on the walls. The food is hearty, not fancy but varied, reasonably priced, tasted good, and was served in a timely manner. My first "Mexican Donkey" - a Moscow Mule made with tequila :)
First time here and will keep on list for next trip to Omaha. Very reasonable prices and the food was great.
