As always, Twist was an excellent experience. Jenna the sommelier did an excellent job of suggesting unique and interesting wines to try, and that paired with the extraordinary food made for a very fun night.
Twist was fantastic. The food was on point, and so was the wine. I especially liked the wine parings that are available (specifically the grand pairing for the tasting menu). Getting to try so many unique and exotic wines, all expertly explained by the waiter and sommelier, was a treat unto itself. Can't wait to go back!
Everyone knows pork is delicious, but the pork chop at Twist takes it to 11. I never thought ice cream could go with a main dish, but here it works spectacularly. That coupled with a handcrafted cocktail and unique wine list made for an exceptional dining experience on the strip. Hands down the best meal I had in Vegas.
Le mieux est magnifique et sent bon. L’accueil y est chaleureux. Vu magnifique sur le Strip. Les plats sont divins
Amazing! Thank you so much. Food and experience was very memorable!!
Wonderful service and the food and presentations were amazing.
When I made my reservation, we did not realize that there was an age minimum for guests. We had arrived in Las Vegas for a conference and this was our penultimate celebration dinner at the end of our trip. We, of course, had our 5-year-old son with us. When we arrived, the maître d'hôtel informed us of our mistake. But after a few moments discussion and what amounted to a miniature "interview" of my son, he elected make an exception and "see how it goes." We had a truly exceptional 5-course meal, and my son was positively angelic. After my wife and son had left, I enjoyed a nightcap, and paid. Leaving, I thanked the maître d'hôtel for taking a chance on us - it was his judgement call - and for such a lovely meal. His response: "Sir, your son is welcome at our restaurant any day." I was flattered, of course, but it speaks to the level of professionalism and curtesy afforded guests at Twist.
TWIST is a tourist trap, with great service, view of the strip, decent food but outrageously overpriced wine and wine pairings. I did the "Grand Wine Pairing" for $185. Of the six wines, four were at best quaffable, and two were well below average. The highlight of the pairings was the 2005 Chateau Vignot -- which they don't bother to tell you is a Kendall-Jackson wine that is made to be drunk on release. They just hyped the "old vintage." The 2005 was dead as a doornail. I was annoyed. Here is this famous French chef passing off over the hill cheap juice as great wine. What a rip-off. Do NOT buy wine at TWIST unless you enjoy getting taken for a ride.
The food was very good but not spectacular; pretty hard to justify $70 for a pork chop. The service started out great but petered out when our server got caught up in a couple large tables nearby; had to wait forever for the check. The vegetarian tasting menu was a hit with the person who ordered it.
Wonderful experience. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Food was excellent. Amazing view of Vegas
Sous Chef Trevor Teich delivered an exceptional meal for my colleagues and me in the private dining room. Service was outstanding. Merci!
The food was creative and tasty. We did the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing and they did an exception job matching the wine with the food. We found the view of the Vegas skyline, beautiful. Our waiter gave us exceptional service.
Great place so elegant , excelent atention and we do appreciate the special menú for our kids
Food, Perfect! Service,Perfect. Overall experience, Perfect!
This was our first time at Twist, to celebrate my seventieth and my wife’s sixty-fifth birthdays. The service and attention to detail was impeccable right from the start, when we were shown straight to a window table with super views of the Strip. Having dined at numerous excellent restaurants in Las Vegas over the last fifteen years, this has to be one of the best.
We had the six course tasting menu with the Discovery Wine Experience, but it doesn’t end there. For a start there are a variety of Amuse Bouche, which are enough to be another course in themselves. The food was very good and beautifully cooked and presented. The wines complement the various courses very well. Portions are not large, but they are sufficient to give a sense of the style of cuisine. By the end of the meal we were both full and couldn’t really appreciate the five dessert selections. Then the Head Waiter brought another dish to the table with a beautifully presented piece of cake with two lighted candles and ‘Happy Birthday’ written on the plate. Finally as we left we were presented with a small box of Petits Fours.
Overall an excellent experience that we would be happy to repeat in the future.
Twist has on online menu for a 5 or 6 course tasting menu. This is the reason we went there. When we were handed the menu, we were told the chef did not prepare those 2 menus, but we could have the champagne tasting menu which is a 3 course menu and desert with champagne for $400 p.p. Problem is we don't even drink nor did we want the dishes on this menu.
When I expressed my displeasure, we were told the chef would "work with us" on a tasting menu. Not satisfactory to me. For a dinner that would cost $500 with tax and tip, we want what we want. Thus, after expressing my displeasure, in no uncertain terms, to the manager, we left without eating, went elsewhere, and will never return to such an arrogant restaurant.
Great Service. Sunday was the best. Will go back for sure.
We did the 5 course tasting menu with the discovery wine pairing. The food was incredible and memorable. The service was impeccable. Great experience.
I had such a great time at the restaurant. Only thing the foods are very small for the price. Beside that the service was great and the drinks were amazing. I loved it.
Twist Is at the top of my dining list whenever I am in Las Vegas
My first experience here was 3 yrs ago and left such a wonderful impression it was one of my reasons for returning to Vegas to celebrate my birthday.
The GM’s impeccable manners sets the bar very high for his wonderful team lead by Sunday (yes, this charming gentleman’s name is Sunday). Attention to detail is the mantra here as exampled by their setting a pillow for me to support my back to seat me more comfortably, the service is spot on and the food is next level rivalling my experiences in Paris.
Truly the food is the thing here ... the tasting menu is simply amazing. The reason it takes 2+hrs to enjoy it is because you savour each bite slowly and no plate comes out unless it is absolutely perfect, merci chef ...
Twist’s place on my list of ‘best meals of my life’ is secure. It’s place in the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas will ensure I’ll make future trips here just to dine at Twist.
An amazing experience. The service, food, wine pairings, setting and ambiance all made for an ethereal evening.
Excellent service and very impressive extras including flavored butters and artisan breads and sorbet between courses and generous champagne pour by the glass and take home dessert tidbits. Only minor disappointment was the rack of lamb which was missing some "sizzle." We had a very enjoyable anniversary dinner capped with a lovely anniversary cake provided gratis by a wonderful serving team.
A true gastronomic experience, Chef Gagnaire foray into Vegas stands out by the quality of food, wine and service. In a beautiful location in 23rd floor of Mandarin Oriental Hotel. A must
Wonderful experience with the vegetarian tasting menu with wine pairing. Food and wine were both delicious!
The food was EXCEPTIONAL! I have done a few food experience but this is one of the best. Definitely worth the money.
From the bartender to valet
What a wonderful place
Great service, lots of chef compliments. Highly recommend
From entry to exit it was perfect. Great host, Captain, sommelier and servers. My 4th time there and consistently wonderful.
Our server Sunday was great!
This was hands down one of the best meals of my life. It will take you a while as for the tasting menu we were there for around 4 hours. Put yourself in their hands and trust their judgment. The food was outstanding.
Absolutely fantastic, best restaurant in Las Vegas.
We're 3 picky foodies who traveled and dined around the world, and agreed that this was probly one of the best meals we've had in our lives. Everything from interior design, menu progression and wine pairing were exquisite. Our server Sunday was such a delight too. We'll definitely be coming back!
The ABSOLUTE BEST dining experience ever! The view was spectacular! The service was unbelievable! I think we had a total of 6 people waiting on our table. But by far, the star of the night, was the food itself! We have never experienced those type of dishes! WOW! Every thing they brought was over the top!.....and the cocktails lived up to the reviews! Incredible!
Loved everything about this dining experience!
Wonderful food and service !!!
Great view too especially if you get a window seat .
. OK we knew it was expensive going in, no problem. Meal for two with tip and one glass of wine per person was about $500. The tasting menu is what we ordered and I'd say that about one third of the item weren't particularly tasty. Beautiful presentation though. The Canadian Venison was really the only item we really liked a lot. Pierre Gagnaire was not there that evening.
The wine pairings were excellent, the service was great, and the views were stunning-but the food (and price) did not align.
We chose the lucky 777 tasting + wine pairing menu. It was by far the best wine pairing we have ever had on the US (and we had many before). Top notch service. We will definitely going back.
IF you don't get table at the window, never mind. The only view is to the Aria's extremely annoying, flashing, oversize billboard - two-three hours of constant repetitive commercials. It is neither Mandarin's not Twist's fault. The billboard went up when the hotel there had to be torn down.
