Twin Oak Wood Fired Pizza & BBQ
Place is family friendly. Pizzas were mediocre to good. Caesar salad was VERY plain. Noise level was VERY loud from the banging of the chefs w/the dough to the poor acoustics & moderately loud music. Not very conducive for very good table conversation level.
Waitress sucked food over priced won’t be back ever again
Nothing special at all. Website would make you think it’s local/artisan but it looks like a chain when you walk in. House salad was blah, as was the blue cheese and steak pizza.
calzone was mediocre and the dipping sauce was COLD making it less appealing.
Favorite pizza place in St Louis
The smoked wings are REALLY good. Nice flavor and cooked just right. Highly recommend.
Very good pizza with quality ingredients. Light, airy crust. Salad was also very good. Low keyed, casual atmosphere. Perfect for a reasonably priced, high quality pizza experience. Would definitely go back.
Server was not very attentive. All food did not come out at same time even the salads arrived about 5 min apart and she wasn’t that busy at that time. Also her clothes looked like they needed to be washed
Husband and I were just doing a casual date night before a movie. We ordered an appetizer/starter and two pizzas. The starter and the pizzas came out at the same time...
The starter was a small ramekin of ‘Mac & cheese’ but I use that term in the loosest form. The noodles were very rubbery and the cheese, if there was any, must have consisted of the rinds from the real cheese they use on the pizza. I kid you not I didn’t even finish my bite, luckily they have paper napkins.
Ohh but the pizza, the crust was perfect. Paying that extra $$$ to put a wood fire oven in your place really makes a difference if you’re a pizza joint. The cheese was a bit heavy and slid when taking a bite but the strong flavor of the sauce balanced out the cheese and my toppings wonderfully.
All in all I would carry out pizza from this restaurant but unless you’re staying at one of the many hotels around it there are just too many other amazing restaurants in St. Louis for a weeknight date to be spent here.
We were there for dinner and to watch an NFL playoff game. Bartender was great and the food was perfect for the game. So much so, we came back to watch the National Championship, tried some new dishes, and met some new friends.
Overall great time in our two recent visits.
We were very disappointed. Service was poor and the pizzas were not done.
Superb service! The food menu and drinks were delicious. If you are considering catching happy hour for drinks arrive before 5:30 for beer only!
We love this place. Low key, casual neighborhood feel with yummy food - esp their smoked salmon (get it every time). Beer selection adequate and service usually great
A great thin flaky crust. Although would like gluten free option
Such a great place to eat!! loved it very first time there was great!
We had excellent service and food. Several in the group said this was the best pizza in St. Louis. We will definitely return to this restaurant!
Definitely some of the best wood-fired pizza in the St. Louis area!
We really enjoyed our evening at Twin Oak; the food is delicious and the service is friendly and welcoming.
First time at this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Food was great and waitress was so friendly and accommodating.
We were seated quickly, the service was excellent and the food was very taste!
Ordered the lunch special consisting of a personal wood-fired pizza and side salad. Both were more than enough, and the price was really fair. Lots of topping options for the pizza, including one of my faves: andouille sausage. I especially liked that I could choose the sauce.
Ordered two of the specialty pizzas. Both were great. Our server, Madison, was very friendly and attentive. Thank you. We will definitely be back.
Was seated promptly with a reservation. Left after 20 min with no service.
Food was deliciously flavorful and environment was fun and social. Great original pizza flavors, fresh ingredients. Our server was right on top of things. Great place. Fun place.
Great customer service! The wait staff was super friendly & helpful. The food is amazing! I will definitely be back!
Out-of-town friends wanted to meet for lunch. We had a large group and it being Father’s Day, I wanted to go somewhere that took reservations for a large group. I hadn’t been to Twin Oak since the “new” menu had debuted so decided this would be a good choice for multiple reasons. My friends all liked their choices (some had breakfast and others had lunch). My husband and I tried the special Georgia Peaches pizza and the regular menu option The Jerk pizza. Both were good but the special was really excellent! It wasn’t crowded at all so we had excellent service.
Really enjoyed the experience. It’s nice to know when people care that you made the choice to dine st their establishment.
Loved the beef brisket. My son said the pizza was good also. Good value.
Great food! Loved the pizzas and dough! Friendly service and quick.
Pizzas were awesome. Jess our waitress was outstanding. She made recommendations and she was spot on. Arrived before 5:30 so drafts and pizzas were 1/2 off. Can't beat that!
Everything was good, the food, service, etc. Will definitely be coming back.
The salads are so fresh and fabulous! Nice sized portions too! Pulled pork was very tasty and the cole slaw side was just right - crisp and refreshing. Love this place - great for couples as well as friends and families. Nice outdoor dining too.
Our waitress was great. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive service. Super tasty salads and pizzas!!
It was just ok
My friends and I hadn't seen each other for awhile, so we met for dinner at Twin Oak. I was the only one who had eaten there before. They all loved it and we said we would be back again to try something different because there were so many good choices. The waiter gave us hot towels to clean off our hands after a wings appetizer and that was much appreciated.
Torn between a three and a four star. Went four because our server was very nice and friendly. Made reservations on open table. On the info listed on open table it says 3-6pm half price pizza, beer, half priced cocktails and select wine. We did not get half priced pizza or cocktail. They messed up one dessert and it had to be remade so we did get a 7$ dessert free so I didn't bring up the half price items. On our way out I looked up at a chalk board it said half price pizza till 530pm. Someone needs to fix the open table page. Our reservation was at 545 and we ordered before 6pm.
Pizza was very good. Portion size on the pulled pork and chicken was sad for 17$. Twice baked potato was bad. The skillet chocolate chip cookie and snicker doodle were awesome. If we lived in the area we'd be back for pizza and dessert before 530pm.
The food was amazing: the pizza, smoked wings, pork, kids meals, French soup everything was great! the place is really nice, the service was very good! We’ll definitely come back!
We went on a Sunday afternoon before a concert and the food and beer were great. The pizzas were half price as were the beers for a Happy Hour . It was a great value but the pizzas would still be great even at full price.
Enjoyable atmosphere and great food and great service.
