Great meal. Will be going back next time in Blowing Rock
We loved Twigs. Hung around after a fantastic dinner for great live music. Strongly recommend it if your in Blowing Rock.
The food was great and the service was outstanding!
We enjoyed our visit. The food was phenomenal and our server was delightful.
Excellent!! Made reservations and arrived about 20 minutes early. We stopped in the bar for a beverage before dinner and enjoyed both the atmosphere and innovative cocktail menu. Once seated for dinner on time, we enjoyed the service provided and the varied menu. Our server offered several suggestions and we settled on a Caesar salad and the pecan encrusted mountain trout. The salad was fresh, croutons excellent. The trout is to die for. Our server spaced out the courses perfectly, was attentive but not overly so. We finished off with a cup of coffee enjoying casual conversation and each other’s company. We never felt rushed nor waiting on service. Wonderful evening!!
Didn’t love the food. My venison and my husbands steak had this bitter charred flavor and my venison had no seasoning. Definitely not worth the $42 I spent on that meal.
Food was terrific and the overall experience was great ! Our waitress was very good, knew what she was doing !
We enjoyed our meal very much. Near the end our server disappeared which puzzled us.
I've been coming here for years, the peach bbq duck tenders are one of my favorite dishes anywhere. Great signature cocktails as well, try the twig's mule.
We had a wonderful dinner. The brussel sprout appetizer was the best part. Delicious & great way to start the meal. The wedge salad was sub par. Mostly lettuce with very scant scattering of bacon & Bleu cheese. The ranch dressing I chose was very good. The oysters were good, but Luke warm & the sauce was cold. The steak was nice, but not entirely accurately descripted. Our waiter was very nice, pushed the ostrich as he was most likely instructed to do. I do feel that he was most likely under the influence of marijuana. Not completely off-putting, but created a disconnect. We love this restaurant and the fact that there is often live music. One downfall would be the singular, one stall bathrooms which leads to long lines. The outside is beautifully well lit with sparkly lights, the inside is cozy. It can get very cramped in the bar area and there just could be some small tweaks to staffing. The bathroom situation is a detriment but I know it's not easy to put in extra bathrooms and the bathroom is clean and has a well locking door. Which I consider very important and appreciate.
Valentines
The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Did not feel rushed. We enjoyed an excellent meal of shrimp and grits and our guess had the salmon. All of which we enjoyed. The only complaint was that the drink selection was very limited on the menu. Other than that the atmosphere was also relaxing. The manager came by to visit before we left which added another personal touch. Highly recommend!
Great food! Fun bar area but also has quiet finer dining area. Loved the menu.
Wonderful service and great food. Highly recommended!
Wonderful total experience. Starting with the pleasant greeting by the hostess, nice wine, good service and service support, through to the excellent food.
The evening was absolutely terrific!!! The food was fantastic and our lady server most knowledgeable and friendly. Our welcome was warm and genuine. Next time we come up, we will dine with you. The rose was a most delightful touch for Valentine's Day.
Thanks
Would have rated Twigs 5 stars, but we were seated in the little room in front of an extremely large drafty window. We were freezing the entire time we were trying to enjoy our tasty meal.
Great dinner and service
This is my favorite restaurant. The lamb chops were superb and the creme brule to die for. Service was excellent.
First time to Twiggs even though we have been here for 5+ years. A pleasant surprise. Service was outstanding, my New Zealnd lamb chops were tender and cooked to perfection. Nice ambience with noise level on the low side. Will definitely go back.
Twigs main dining room was perfect for catching up with a friend, over a delicious meal of fresh seafood, cocktails and good wines. Our service was not rushed, yet attentive to our needs.
I’ve loved Twigs for over 20 years. It is consistently excellent. Delicious food, very nice atmosphere, friendly staff and the liveliest bar in Blowing Rock. A great blues band played last Saturday night when we were there. It’s always a great evening at Twigs.
WE MADE RESERVATIONS FOR4 AT 6;30. WE WAITED TIL 6:50 because the party before us was not done. When we said something to the hostess she said our reservation had been bumped to 7:00. No one let us know so we waited 30 mins for our table. You tell us to be there on time or you will not honor the reservation and then we are treated this way. Dinner was good not excellent. The shrimp and sausage were overcooked.
We have been to your restaurant 5-6 times now. We like it but we have had 2 disappointing meals. One was A time earlier in the month .
Fathers Day!
Great food, great service! Crab cakes were amazing!
Great service
We enjoyed celebrating at Twigs tonight . The service was wonderful . Our waiter and the rest of the staff were attentive to our needs all throughout dinner. The ambiance is beautiful which made our dinner even more enjoyable .
We all enjoyed our entrees; filet mignon, salmon and ahi . Each prepared with detail and very delicious . We look forward to returning again in the future .
Very aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and a perfect place for a date. Complimentary desert of our choice for my girlfriends birthday also. Excellent service and dining experience. Highly recommend.
We had a fabulous meal and very nice waitress, but our enjoyment was lessened due to a loud mouth using foul language at the table next to us...it was horrible. He should never be allowed at TWIGS again.
Even one of his table mates paid for her own meal and left the restaurant. He was a real jerk and disturbed everyone around him.
Good food. Great service
We enjoyed another delicious dinner at Twigs. This visit we were joined by friends who had eaten there before but it had been awhile. Between the 4 of us we ordered Pecan crusted Trout or Shrimp and Grits. Everyone was pleased and everything was really good. Twigs, we'll be back!
My wife’s dish was to be prepared without garlic, but came out watery and tasteless The other three in the party had good meals.
The bill was to be split but was mixed up, charged incorrectly, took 25 minutes to correct, and was finally fixed with no apology given.
Worst experience I’ve ever had there. May never go back.
Twigs has great food and service but it is always too hot. The temperature outside tonight was 35 and I about burnt up inside
First time dinners. We will be back. Very pleased with everything.
I am a fan of Twigs. I visit 3-4 times a year. Tonight was an off night. The lamb was under cooked and the potatoes were hard and cold. I usually have a wonderful meal but tonight was not a wonderful meal. The creme Brûlée was not set. It should not have been sent out from the kitchen. I will visit again; but it won’t be soon.
Don’t make a reservation for 5:30 on a cold night because if you arrive early you will stand outside in the cold until they open the doors at 5:30 exactly. Made reservation with open table and indicated it was our anniversary and that we wanted a table in the dining room. We were seated instead on the porch within earshot of the hostess station, so we were treated to every conversation regarding tables and reservations, all of the comings and goings so much for ambience!! Server was attentive but did not offer any help with the menu when asked.
As for the food, ordered crab bisque, soup of the night, and was unpleasantly surprised to find several pieces of shell, when it was mentioned to server a polite I’m sorry but no offer of restitution or substitution. Sorry to say that the pecan encrusted trout was not any better, very bland and swimming in butter? Will say husband’s steak was cooked well and very tasty as were the potatoes served with both meals. Decided to go all in and order dessert, Creme brûlée, looked good but was ice cold!! Needless to say we won’t be returning, had looked forward to trying Twigs unfortunately it’s not fine dining go elsewhere if you’re going to spend $$$ on a dining experience.
Everything was excellent--the food and service. They were very crowded but they handled it.
The cocktails were outstanding and the food was delicious. I live this place and visit every time I’m in BR. The filet special was probably the beat I’ve ever had. I love the lighting of this place!!!
Twigs is one of our all time favorite restaurants of all time.
We try to dine there every time we are in Blowing Rock.
The food was delicious. I had the sea bass special and it was amazing.
