Hadn't been to this restaurant in Years and it's just as good as I remembered!
Great chef! Food well prepared and seasoned appropriately.
Paulina was excellent!
Excellent waitress; our choices off menu and evening special couldn’t have been better.
Twigs is our “go to” restaurant when we visit Blowing Rock. The food is always amazing, as well as the atmosphere! We’ve never been disappointed!
Try the pecan encrusted trout! Its delicious!!!
Can’t wait to go back!
We went to Twigs for our anniversary. Our reservation was for 7:45 we were told they were running a little behind so we went to bar for a drink. We finally got seated at 8:20. No one greeted us or said it may be a minute. The bus boy filled our water, still did not speak to us. Finally after being at a table for 15 mins our waitress cane and asked if we needed more drinks. We ordered drinks and I asked if we could go ahead and order dinner. She then told us that it would be a while on our food because they were behind because of a 15 top table ?? I explained to waitress that our experience had not been good thus far and we were really disappointed. We order and food finally came out.
Food was delicious but no one ever came to speak to us from management about the wait. I will not be back.
Unimpressed, waitress made mistakes on 2 of 3 orders and some of the dinners were cold. Sorry expected more because of recommendation.
Enjoyed a grest meal with our family including teen grandchildren. We all loved the food selection. Twiggs is one of our favorite restaurants while we are in the High Country for the summer. Our visiting guests love it too.
This was our first visit to Twigs but certainly won't be our last!
Everything was fabulous, from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere. Our service, Paulina, was so attentive and fun, making the evening even more special. A true gem!
We had dinner here during a girls away weekend in Blowing Rock. This was a wonderful restaurant for dinner - the food was outstanding as was the service. We will definitely return here whenever we're in the area.
Ordered a filet , paid for a filet and got what appeared to be a pot roast with fat. Poor cut of meat. My wife’s fish was lacking also.
Great dinner during a weekend in Blowing Rock and we were able to walk from our lodging to the restaurant. We sere seated on the 'porch' indoor section which was lovely and less noisy. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Food was hot, nicely prepared and hot. Thanks for a great meal experience!
They ran out of trout which is their specialty and we just arrived at 7
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Blowing Rock, NC. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends! The food and service are wonderful. On Friday and Saturday nights there is live music in the bar area. When we have visiting friends we always take them to Twigs.
The room is lovely, especially fun when decorated for Halloween. We had four different entrees (small filet, lamb chops, shrimp & grits with lobster sauce, and a pasta dish - each was delicious. I shared my tomato & mozzarella salad with everyone, it was generous. Another diner's salmon bisque was very good. Our server was very nice and enthusiastic, if a bit too anxious to clear our plates. We had a lovely dinner, though, and we plan to return!
Wonderful menu! We enjoyed it so much we returned the following night. Decorations for Halloween were fun and tasteful. Would love to see it at Christmas, but alas we live a state away!
This was our first visit to Twigs and we were very impressed. Very nice atmosphere, great service, and excellent food. I highly suggest this restaurant for a memorable evening out.
I go to twigs quite regularly. This was a special reservation because it was my mother in laws 80th birthday and my wife’s 50th birthday which I designate when I made the reservation. Nothing was done or mentioned. Very disappointed in the way this was/wasn’t handled.
We celebrated my birthday and it was wonderful! The food and wine were excellent and we will be back!!
I had a reservation and was seated in the front room and not the main dining area. The room was cold. When asked to be moved they put us in the only table for two and it was by the kitchen door. The waitress was nice, but the experience and food were not worth the price.
Some of our dishes were great, others not so much. Service was not great, had to flag down other staff a couple of times to get our needs met. Overall, good enough to return another time.
Overall experience was good. A bit of a mix up on food order but Charlotte and the kitchen corrected it promptly plus she offered complimentary desserts for our inconvenience- good service and a nice touch!
We were staying in Blowing a Rock and decided to eat here after reading their reviews. I must say the reviews understated how fabulous the dining experience was for us. Flank steak and pork tenderloin were amazing! Highly recommend!!
This is our go-to restaurant when in Blowing Rock. We took 2 couples for their first visit this trip. All of us enjoyed our food and the attentive service. I’m sure we will all be return customers.
Excellent food and service! We will visit again when we are in Blowing Rock.
Twigs was a great dining experience. The food was excellent. The server made good recommendations. The restaurant was really busy and loud - the only issue.
Every trip to the mountains we end up dining at least one night at Twigs. Love the ambiance, food and will continue to make Twigs one of our main stops for dining!
We had an excellent meal. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The fried green tomatoes were awesome on the grits with bacon!!! The shrimp wrre delicious. Paulina was our server and she is top-notch. She was friendly, professional, and very fun to have as our server! Great experience!
I hate to say that we never made it to the food. We had dinner reservations for 2. We were seated right outside the kitchen with the door being constantly swung opened/closed. When asked if we can be seated elsewhere, we were simply told they had no other accommodations ( there were several other open tables that would had been more appropriate for the romantic dinner we were hoping to have) due to those tables having a later reservation....what???? I’m here now with an earlier reservation and I’m stuck here. So we simply got up and left. I will never go back due to the service. Btw the way the Bistro just around the corner was perfect.
Taylor was an awesome waitress. She made sure that our every need was met. Highly recommend for any occasion.
Twigs is one of our favorite Dining spots when visiting Blowing Rock.
The food, service, ambiance is always consistently good.
We love the Red Snapper. This trip our Server Paulina was quite good.
Great food in bar and dining room. Love the fried green tomatoes.
We came several times years ago and the crab cakes were outstanding. So when we dined the other night I ordered the crab cakes and husband ordered the small filet. So upset when the crab cakes arrived because they did not at all resemble the delicious ones we remembered. They did not taste like crab at all and I’m pretty sure they were imitation crab meat. Certainly not what you would expect for the price or from a restaurant that considers itself fine dining. On a positive note my husband did enjoy his filet which was a nice size for a small filet.
We both had salads but I asked for my soup to be served as my entree. My boyfriend’s steak arrived but there was no soup for me. When we asked about it, the server and waiter fumbled and said it would be out shortly. It took 15 minutes while my boyfriends’s meal got cold.
In the end, my soup, tomato bisque, was watery and bland and scalding hot.
This was so disappointing.
We have dined at Twigs in the past and it was top drawer then and certainly met the mark on this occasion.
Wife had pork chops and I had lamb chops. Both perfectly prepared and served hot off the grill.
Sides were generous and very tasty.
Very nice. Great food. Our 45th Anniversary. Get a reservation.
Twigs is a must for us every time we go to Blowing Rock. Food, service, ambiance - always exceptional.
All six of us loved our food. From liver to crab cakes to pork chops, it was all delicious. The waitstaff was very accommodating.
Excellent meal, especially the Ribeye, with first class service.
A little noisy at first but quieter after a large party nearby left.
A small cosy bar with live music all made for an enjoyable evening.
Excellent food and service. The trout and pork tenderloin were very good
The menu had many interesting choices. I chose the trout with pecan crust and it had very little taste. Could have used some seasoning. My husband chose the salmon and thought it good but not excellent. Blue cheese dressing out of this world. Our waitress forgot our bread but once that was resolved service was very good.
