Nice restaurant. The patio looks great, we'll try it next time.
Service was slow and the food was so so. Noise was loud for a Thursday night.
The shepherd's pie, served on a scalding hot plate, was itself, barely warm. The dish basically consisted of a very thin tomato sauce like slop that I guess had ground beef in it. Then there was a small plop of mashed potatoes and cheese on top of that. It didn't taste good, but when does shepherd's pie taste good cold? My date's hamburger was good, we ended up splitting it. But her fries were stale and covered in shredded green leaves (parsley?). It just made the fries hard and embarrassing to eat. She kept picking it off and setting it aside. I heard such rave reviews of Twigs, and the ambiance and service were excellent, it's just too bad the food was so terrible, because eating is really what we go to restaurants for, right?
Although loyal and loved the experience and food, the last 2-3 years has been disappointing. Restaurant week was the reason we decided to try it again after a year and some and we were more disappointed than usual. Food was VERY bland. The brussel sprouts good but how do you mess up pork belly? Peppercorn steak in linguini with a cream brandy sauce I believe? We had to add salt and pepper and the salted cheese cake was tiny and not worth the calories.
We thought the bar had some very loud patrons only to realize it was the kitchen and bar staff being so loud. We were told if the music was too loud to let them know. It was and truly we didn't bother. We were the last ones in the dining room and felt as if we were postponing their party. We had 7:15pm reservations and took our desserts to go.
I've brought concerns over the years and now we're just tired and will not go back. There are too many wonderful restaurants out there like Wild Sage, Masslowes. clover etc. to waste time at Twigs anymore. Thank you for asking.
Everything was good as usual except for where they seated us. We had reservations & were put in the back room that had very bright lighting which is different from the regular restaurant which has dim lighting & better ambiance. Seems like it was a room for larger groups but there was just 2 of us. So not real happy about being seated in that room.
We attend this place on a regular basis, it is always good. This time we took advantage of their Inlander Restaurant week offer. I was mostly not their usual fare but both our dinners were very good. Our server was attentive and pleasant.
The dinner can include a glass of wine or beer (their choices) in replacement of dessert. But you will miss out on their Salted Caramel Cheesecake. It was very, very good. The two of us shared one plate and it was a nice finish to the dinner.
We enjoyed Twigs' menu options and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
Thought since I mentioned it was my husbands birthday, there would be something special said or even done- nope.
Food was ok- the pulled pork sandwich was cold. Also, Malbec was not good. Waiter seemed rushed and there were not many tables, so not sure why. He also was not a wine drinker so made it hard to explain what was wrong with the Malbec.
There is a big difference between energetic and to LOUD. The place was way too LOUD!!
Perfect meeting for our valentines Anniversary dinner.
We really enjoyed the spacious dining area that was so pleasant and felt very warming (Outside patio was buried in about 18 inches of snow). Food was excellent and our server was very friendly and attentive to us all the time we were there, without being annoying.
My parents thought Twigs was the bomb! They were here visiting and I took them there to try the fantastic fries.
Twigs Wandermere has been a local mainstay for us since it opened. The food is good quality for the price and of course, they make the best martinis in town!
Waitress forgot our drinks a few times. The food was way overpriced for how it tasted. I had to pay $35 for a steak that was super dry, not seasoned right, nor cooked correctly.
I made a reservation to go to Twigs after our Christmas Eve church service and I was afraid everyone would be in a rush to get us served and out. But I was sooo wrong. Our greeting and service was relaxed and festive! The fireplace gave us a very cozy feeling and we even had a cute little snowman looking in the window at us. The food was excellent (as always) and the drinks completed our warming process! Thank you Wandermere Twigs for being a part of our Christmas Celebration.
I haven't been to Twigs in a couple years and wow has this place gone down hill!!! I took my family there for dinner on Christmas eve and was so disappointed. The staff were incredibly unfriendly, especially our waitress, who spent more time outside building a snowman (yes you heard that right) than serving her customers. The quality of the food was atrocious including wilted lettuce on our salads, cold under-cooked chicken, stale bread and over-cooked vegetables. They had absolutely NO vegan options and to top it all off, I was told the $50 gift card (which I purchased myself last year) was not valid and could not be used. This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a VERY long time and my family will not be returning. Shame on you Twigs!
We enjoyed our lunch the other day at Twigs. The food and service were excellent.
The service and food were great. Very popular place. It was very loud in the dining area. Sitting across from my date I could not hear her and she had a very difficult time hearing me. Way to loud.
I was taking my girlfriend in a nice date... When we first get there the waitress was very sweet. I ordered the shrimp pasta, and it was disgusting... The shrimp came with the tails on it, but that wasn't too bad. When I was eating the pasta, I would get pieces of shells from the shrimp, I only at half my plate. I spoke with the manager and he did nothing but skirt around the fact and until my boyfriend spoke up and said it was ridiculous that I'm paying $20 for shells in my pasta when I could've made it at home. He still did nothing. I paid for the dinner and left. It ruined our entire date.
Food was great. Very nice place and reasonably priced. But service was too slow, considering it wasn't very busy :(
Fantastic value! Great food for an unbelievable price (especially during Happy Hour). Even the kids' food was higher level.
We always enjoy the experience...ambiance is great, food is very tasty and prices are competitive. a change to the menu could be more frequent.
Had a dinner with girlfriends there recently. We made a reservation and they were prepared for us when we arrived. Our server was wonderful... very attentive and friendly. The wines were good, our dinners were delicious, and our dessert was superb. No complaints whatsoever regarding food or service. My only complaint is that it is so loud in there. This is a very busy location and it always seems noisy. However, it is a great place for group dining... large and accommodating with a nice selection of wines, martinis, apps, and entrees.
We had dinner with 3 people just to get together to eat and talk. The restaurant was very noisy however and we could barely hear each other, let alone the waitstaff. My husband's lasagna was very dry and spicy. The other two meals were tasty. I had chicken and my cousin had a pasta dish. The service was very good. Drinks were small and overpriced. It will probably be awhile before we return. I would likely go more often if I were younger. It looks like a fun place to go to the bar.
My date called just before I ask to be sat, they did not give me the message although they assured her they would. I sat at the table 10 min without anyone asking if I wanted anything, so I walked out and will never go back. There was penalty of staff walking around, but no one wanted to help me.
I never got to taste anything even water..
By the way this survey is stupid, I should not have to answer everything, when it doesn't apply
Was disappointed withnew hummus platter. No tampenade and olive .liked veggies.
Meals were excellent. Steak Salad and Tacos were seasoned very nicely. May get them next time. I sampled my daughters and instantly liked them. Our son-in-law enjoyed his birthday dessert. We will definitely be back
We chose this restaurant for our semiannual dinner with a special friend who had heard about it but not been there previously. We were certain she would enjoy it, and we were right. She loved the view and ambiance, as well as the food. Our server was an especially bright spot. She cheerfully and rapidly accommodated our multiple requests to change tables as our original choice on the patio became uncomfortable as the temperature dropped. (We finally ended up indoors.) I've recently needed to sharply reduce my carbohydrate intake, and really appreciate the delicious options Twigs offers which accommodate this situation. I greatly enjoyed an ahi sashimi appetizer and the bistro steak salad, which gave me good quantities of teriffic tasting meat and vegetables. My wife and our friend meanwhile happily finished off their seafood entrees. We all opted for dessert, and were glad we did.
Our waitress Jen was great, very attentive and kind. She took care of all of our requests quickly and gave great recommendations. Our only complaint was that it was a bit cold and the outside heaters are not all working, the management needs to get maintenance to repair those for this season.
I always enjoy my time with you! Great food, drinks and customer service.
Met friends for Happy Hour and shared the tasty and unique $6-$7 appetizer plates. The Lemon Drop Martinis are fabulous and also get a bit of a discount during Happy Hour. The outdoor seating by the lake is a very nice treat on a warm evening and the service is always very professional and friendly. Twig's is really a nice place to get together with friends for Happy Hour.
We usually go to the Riverpark Square Twigs. I was surprised to see how run down this Twigs has become. Same good food and atmosphere but when the people clear out ... Wow, the furnishings have become pretty shabby and it definitely could use an update. Seems Twigs is all out for expansion but not on keeping their earlier restaurants up to par.
Good food, helpful servers. However as a birthday celebration, it would have been nice to give the bday person a free dessert. They knew since I put it on the reservation.
Instant seating upon arrival. Great service from wait staff. Libations were superb. Dinner was absolutely tasty. My birthday desert excellent. We love going out to Twiggs!
Lovely meal reasonably priced except for the cocktails which were almost as much as the entree. I suppose we should have asked what they cost. The scotch was upped to a double without asking if that was acceptable.
So happy to have a restaurant of this quality so close to home, east to get to and reasonably priced for a great experience. Thank you!
We loved the food and the service! Unfortunately, it was very loud and hard hear.
Great place to take my college student and her friends for a parent visit dinner. We all loved it!!
Anniversary dinner - perfect setting and food was great
Family dinner on the patio. Great atmosphere. Heaters were turned on when the sun went down. Gorgonzola Cheese Fries are top pick for appetizers.
