Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar - South Hill
We had a great time and enjoyed eating on the patio. Food was delicious and service was great.
I ordered mango halibut, pretty much the most expensive item on the menu and it was overcooked and not moist. That's a no-no for fish of any kind, particularly halibut. There was a birthday party for pre-schoolers in the loft with some very undisciplined shrieking going on pretty much the entire time I was there with my guests. The waiters often looked up wondering when the noise was going to abate as were many of the patrons. Went on for an hour or more - very distracting and a turn-off for whether of not I'll return.
Another nice dinner for two at Twigs South Hill with mixed results. The service was wonderful: Nick was attentive, helpful and personable. The food here has great aspirations, but sometimes disappoints due to a singular fail. The Osso buco pork was melt in your mouth tender and delicious. However, the marsala sauce was horribly sweet - like bbq sauce. Unfortunately, there was a lot of it, and it made the accompanying veggies inedible. The second diner ordered the Twigs signature burger without bun, onion ring or bacon. It was good. The side of seasonal veggies, prepared as requested without fat, were excellent. We split a Greek Goddess salad (hold the quinoa, dressing on the side). It was very good with a nice balance of flavors and textures.
A great evening celebrating a birthday. Our waiter was amazing, he even remembered the details of our orders without writing them down and his section was busy! The food was delicious too. 100% recommend!
I have eaten at Twigs several times and my meals have always been very tasty. This time no luck. My breakfast special featuring a scrambled egg dish was awful. Large spears of raw broccolini made it difficult to even eat the scramble. Also, there was an overpowering garlic flavor to the mix. The side dishes were o.k.
Nice location on the patio, very nice serving staff, but very slow. Slightly over an hour from sitting to food on the table for a brunch
Our favorite dinner out during our stay in Spokane! We ate out on the patio overlooking the lake/pond. Very nice!
Visiting Spokane. Found the outdoor dining and location on the water. Food diverse and very good
3 of us ordered the special shrimp salad. I had one shrimp in my entire salad. We asked the server how big the salad would be and were told it was a full meal, however it was not in any way. My husband ordered his fries extra crispy, they cam soggy. The server did bring him more fries but they were not extra crispy either.
It was very busy so it was difficult for the server.
One of our group order a glass of chardonnay. It was server in a whiskey glass, very uncool.
We have been to brunch at Twigs and enjoyed it very much, but this meal was substandard.
Very reliable, with a broad enough menu to please most diners
This was a great place. We sat by the window. Service was great and friendly.
Very disappointing Inlander Restaurant week meals. There were 3 of us and we had different options and all main course meals were very dry over cooked and tasteless. We were embarrased to have taken our out of town visitor to Twigs. Usually meals are better than that.
We came in for lunch and Jay was our server. He did just the right things for what we wanted - space when we wanted it, checking in at the right amount and at the right time, and he provided good service and suggestions. We weren't terribly hungry so we ordered an appetizer and drinks which were tasty (hummus and pita bread), and the environment was cool and stylish. I'm smiling right now thinking about the experience.
Good atmosphere, great service, amazing food. Our server nicholas was awesome
LOVE LOVE LOVE twigs! It is seriously one of my top three favorite restaurants and I eat here minimum once every other week— butbthag being said a year CLEAR of the fish and chips. time and time again I go with people and they are continually disappointed with the quantity and quality of the dish. You pay a good price to get two small greasy pieces of fish :( but that aside everything else I have had on the menu has been Stellar!! I have not been disappointed with any other dishes and I highly recommend the Gorgonzola cheese fries, truffle lemme, pesto margarita chicken, and the bbq chicken Cobb salad!
I have had many good meals at Twigs. But the fresh sheet item "Roasted wild mushroom on penne" was not one of them. $21.99 seemed like a lot of money for a bowl of noodles, a handful of mushrooms and a sprinkle of cheese. The noodles (points for gluten free option!!) were undercooked, and the sauce was not appealing. No accompaniments. The restaurant was busy and we, understandably, had to wait for our food. No problem. But throughout the evening, our server kept talking about how harried (and sweaty) he was. Did not contribute to the ambiance of our meal! Sorry, South Hill Twigs, this was not your best effort!
This is one of our favorite dine out spots. Very good gluten free foods and great choices for whom gf is not a problem.
Great place to celebrate a birthday!
Very pleased by attention and service of the waitress
Do not know about all the options above. We were looking for a quiet place where we could converse. We found it with you. I wanted a light meal so did not check out your gluten-free options, except among the salads. I did not see an identification of gluten-free, may have been there, I simply chose an obvious gluten free salad.
Our Friday evening outing was enhanced by a great meal at Twigs South Hill. We enjoyed the martinis and really good dishes from the menu. The atmosphere was busy but calm (between 5:30 amd 6:30pm). We ate in the main dining room, but there were many diners outside, even with the smoke. This was not our first visit, but one of the more enjoyable ones. Thank you!
The drinks were perfect. Made the meeting so much more enjoyable. Great service as well!
We both had the salmon entree and it was very good. Enjoyed the menu change up on the rice for a different flavor. Our server Angie was terrific - very personable and accomodating.
Food upset everyone’s stomach
Luncheon was used as an opportunity to visit with neighbors who had been away for winter months. It was quiet & we took our time and never felt rushed. All of us had a wonderful meal as always when we eat at Twigs. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
Great lunch to celebrate a good friend who is also a neighbor’s birthday. We did not feel rushed and enjoy the time we could spend together. The food was fantastic!
my wife found a pice of PLASTIC inside the humus when she ate it.... NO COMMENT
never gonna go back to this restaurant
and the service is sooo bad I was there for 2 hours and no one came and asked me or my wife if I wanted more water
Resurant week. My salad which was crab and shrimp was excellent. Salmon was over cooked and dry. Everyone else loved their dinner.
Came for Restaurant week. Had the Asparagus salad, salmon & creme brulee. First two were great. Salted caramel brulee was way too sweet. Thought the presentation in a canning jar was creative & attractive. Ordered Long Island Ice Teas that weren't very good. Bartender did not get the formula right.
Good did not taste fresh. Have had the same food at Twigs downtown and was much better. Calamari was dry and over cooked. Service was slow even though the restaurant was NOT busy. Will definitely return to Twigs/ Riverfront, not likely to return to S Hill location.☹️
They had a special on oysters.. but for $18 they gave us 6.. teeny tiny oysters...barely a taste. We were also celebrating a birthday.. AND Valentine's day..and tried to join the loyalty club in order to get a free birthday dessert.. we were told we couldn't join the day of. Our waitress even asked the manager who said no. I had to ask to speak to the manager myself..who then finally agreed to give us the slice of cheesecake for free.. I spent over $100 .. why was it so hard to allow us to join the loyalty club that day?! Overall not a very good experience.. I will not be going back.
I was well served by all.....thank yu very much. Tiffany made the occasion very enjoyable, the food was delicious.
New Years Eve
Best food since moving here from CA. Seafood was excellent, fresh, seasoned beautifully, and tons of crab in my Crab fettuccini. Will be back for sure. Waitress could have been more attentive and better attitude. Love, love, love this place, cant wait to go back.
Food was ok but not particularly good. Went because of location but felt it was overpriced for what we got.
Had a really good time. Our waiter was patient and helpful. He handled four guests with different tastes with good recommendations. When the food arrived it was wonderful.
The Osso Buco was delicious. We ordered extra dirty martinis with Blue cheese stuffed olives. But the olives tasted funny and the martini wasn't cold enough. Usually their drinks are very good
We met friends for dinner at Twigs South Hill. The service was very good as was the food. Parking is a problem but we were early enough to find parking in the rear parking lot.
Great food with a nice variety so that a group containing a variety of preferences was able to find options. Great for the vegetarians too.
My family and I got in right away on a Friday night. We had a wide range of tastes, something from every page of the menu, and it was all delicious. Great time overall!
