Service was extremely slow and the waitress seemed put out. It took forever to get her to take our drink order and even longer to take our appetizers and meal orders. The waitress didn't bother to clear any of the empty appetizer plates and/or empty salad plates before our meals arrived, or even after until we asked her to remove them when she brought out the dessert.
Very good food and nice atmosphere. We have never been disappointed at Twigs.
I will say the food was delicious!! When I made the reservations I asked to be seated outside. Upon our arrival the weather took a change and was starting to rain so we could not. When we arrived they asked if I still wanted to sit outside. The restaurant was not crowed at all and there was appeal seating everywhere. We ended up kind of in the back and was seated right next to a wall. You could see that it was still a nice view from the window so I asked if there was anyway to get a better seat as this is a much needed date night for us with no kids and.... they moved us closer but again put us right in front of a wall. I find this to be so upsetting when there are multiple places we could of sat at. The table behind or in front us, even the bar area would even of been a better option. I understand when you are busy and there are no seats to move you to. But this was not the case, very disappointing experience.
Overall not a bad night. I have a hard time justifying $11.50 for a kids chicken quesadilla, fries and a drink. The quesadilla without chicken is $7 which still seems high. Dessert was good but overall the kids menu is definitely overpriced.
We had a birthday lunch for about 8 people. Fantastic service and excellent food. Nice and quiet location that even Grandma could hear our conversation.
Good as always. My wife appreciates the extensive gluten free options.
Good service and consistent quality.... but.... you took my Cubano off the menu!
Love this place, always one of my favorites!
Nice menu with lots of choices. I’ve always had great meals here. The Brussel sprouts starter was delicious. Love the outdoor seating, also.
Well, I’ve eaten here twice and both times the food was great. Service was good and, well the atmosphere was the best. Sat outside and the weather was incredible and the water show was a great way the relax and take it all s
Our family got together for Mothers day. The food was fantastic and we all had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect so the doors were open, such a lovely restaurant with a great staff.
Waitress was nice. Took a long time for waitress to come to our table and get out food. They also brought my salad out with the main meal. Too expensive for the quality of food.
We visited for Mother's Day and made a reservation ahead of time to make sure we didn't have a long wait. When we arrived my husband checked in with the hostess, advised of the reservation, and was asked to wait a moment while the table was prepared. We waited 10 minutes and watched 4 other sets of guests be seated. My husband approached the hostess again and she acted as if he'd never checked in with her the first time. They began to show us to our table, stopped us in the middle of the restaurant, and said just a moment and left. Five of us literally stood between tables with people eating for a good 5 minutes while two tables in another part of the restaurant were pulled together for us, before they actually seated us. Luckily after that our server was amazing and the food delicious, otherwise it would have been a highly negative experience.
For the price- the brunch was not that great. Definitely could’ve included more, warm, fresh, high quality food.
The food okay, not for the price given. Great place for drinks.
This is only the second time I've been to Twigs, and I won't be back. It might be wonderful for meat eaters, but there is such limited fare for vegetarians. The Portabello Penne Pasta was fair, but nothing to write home about. For all the impressive ingredients, I found it to be flat. I took my left overs home and added fresh garlic and salt and pepper the next day, and it was much better.
Drinks to 20 min to receive and they kept giving excuses. After that everything pleasant and quite as it was a Monday night.
I ordered our server's recommendation, the truffle penne with steak. It was too salty and therefore, I would not order again. My son ordered the beef filet medium rare, and it was over cooked. Wine list was not impressive. Service was good. Overall, a fine evening, but none of us were awed by the food. Would probably go again, but won't be top of my list.
Went to Twigs because it is a favorite go-to when we come to visit . Ordered fish n chips because I love them ... actually that was a second option I really wanted the blackened steamed Ahi. Anyhow got my malt vinegar and went to “sprinkle” a bit on my fish. Surprise the stopper was gone and poured the bottle on it instead. Our server saw it and was immediately asking if I was okay. I was I kind of like vinegar. Maybe that much but I didn’t want to make a big deal of it. Well she did, a few minutes later she returned with a fresh piece of fish and some extra chips as well! Super service, that’s how you do it!
For the price it was loud and service was slow and just wasn’t what we had experienced in the past.
The couple of times that I have been there, the service is extremely slow to get anything from the bar. This time it was after the Easter Buffet so there were maybe 5 tables in the whole place. Bartender was very slow in making drinks and at one point forgot and lost a ticket.
Very disappointed. Server kept apologizing for her. It was not the servers fault.
So glad we got a reservation for Easter Brunch. The service is always good at Twigs. The brunch was buffet style, and was very good. Nice selection of everything: fresh fruit and salads, meat, egg dishes, and desserts. The french toast was outstanding! Good value for a special brunch.
Attractive modern bistro...Definitely try the cheeseburger with the Bleu cheese and roasted garlic. Amazing! And it was cooked to my specification -- Medium rare. Friendly service. I will return!
Loved it. We’ll be back
Decided last minute to go out for a casual meal and hadn't been to Twigs for awhile so we decided to try it again, and Man am I glad we did! Fantastic service and the food was GREAT. Wife and daughter had pasta, one meataterian and one vegetarian; both were fantastic. I had one of the top 10 Filets of my life and a great Martini! Don't miss out!
Great service! Our waitress was wonderful!
Even though it was very busy, our waitress Anna gave us great service. Our food was delicious. The only negative comment I have is the noise level, though we did enjoy our visit. I would recommend this restaurant.
Great choice for a special day. The environment is great and the ambiance was magnificent. The food was great and a special desert was provided for a Birthday.
We had made reservations for two and at the last minute my husbands son joined us. Twigs was very accommodating and made the adjustment. I would like to thank them for their kind and courteous wait staff.
Twig's is my favorite restaurant/bar in Boise or Meridian. My husband and I usually sit in the bar area - love the decor and atmosphere....always a fun place to hang out and watch people....food is always good, great service, and love the martinis. Have also sat in dining area several times for family gatherings and meeting up with friends. Same great experiences. And, in the summer months, sitting outside on the patio is a perfect way to enjoy the concert right next to us. We were there for the Eagles tribute band, and it was awesome!
Valentine’s Day dinner w/friends - great cocktails, and our server, Lauryn, was wonderful!
One of our local favorites for special occasions or just getting a nice night out. Food it outstanding.
Service was great! Staff was friendly and kept on top of watching our table. It was a little noisy
Our waitress was horrible. She was extremely slow. Tables around us were walking out because she was not helping them. It took over 20 minutes for us to get our drinks after we ordered them. She was an older lady that had no business being a waitress.
Dinner for three friends playing catch up. We all had meals that we loved - pasta, Twigs burger, salad, calamari and the fondue with Twigs fries. It was all really good and our server was wonderful. His sense of humor and ability to interject himself to provide excellent service was spot on. The only complaint I would note is that we ordered the Drunken Donuts and they just weren't very good. The sauces were overly sweet and the dough was not really enjoyable at all.
Another great night at Twigs! A perfect place to eat before seeing a movie at The Village.
We always enjoy dining at Twigs. Wine Wednesday (1/2 price bottles) is a nice too. The service is always friendly and timely. We wanted a little extra time to finish out bottle of wine and ask out waitress if she would mind. She was pleasant and said no problem, take your time.
We went on NYE so some slowness and chaos was to be expected. It was worse than we thought it would be. Our drinks were horrendous which is bad for a martini bar. My husband ordered a double whiskey on the rocks, received maybe a quarter of a shot and we were charged 16.99 for it.
Best thing on the menu is the Gorgonzola Burger!!!!!! I also tried the crab Mac & cheese and it was pretty bland. Service was okay but that could be because it was New Years Eve.
