Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar - Meridian
Very pleasant night out.
Tasty food, moderately priced. Service was very good.
The quality of the food is sub-par. For the extensive array of foods available in Boise, there will be no reason to return to Twigs. I ate at Fork earlier this week and Twigs was like stepping down to McDonalds quality with Fork prices. I won't be back.
It took an hour for our main courses to come then the food was cold salads were all wilted lettuce- don’t go here!
I took my wife to Twigs for Mother's Day. We had reserations for 1:30pm. We asked to have a table in the shade, instead the hostess put us in direct sun light, no umbrella. We had to insist to be place in the shade. The food was very limited in variety as we've experienced elsewhere. Result, we never went back for seconds, as it wasn't that good, and the buffet lines were long and crammed into limited space. We may try Twigs again, but never on Mother's Day. Hostess and waitresses seemed very overwhelmed.
I took my mom to twigs for Mother's Day dinner on a Saturday night. Although the restaurant was busy, they accommodated my table request beautifully. My mom said she thought it was the best dinner she's ever had! Thank you twigs, you never disappoint!
I brought my family of 6 to Twigs on May 5th with the expectation that the quality of the experience would be commensurate with the cost. Unfortunately, while we did find the meal to be quite expensive, the quality of the food was mediocre at best and the service was sub-par for similar establishments. We will not be back.
Another fantastic dining experience at one of our favorite dinner establishments!!!
Great service, yummy calamari and fries!
Went there for Easter brunch. They found my reservation after searching for a bit then went to see if a table was clean. I sat directly to the right of the in full view of the greeting desk. The hostess came back and never addressed me again. I finally went back up to her and said did you forget about me? Seated my party. There was no explanation of buffet - just sat us and left. After several minutes of waiting, a drink hostess passed by which I had to call out to stop her. Finally got some beverages ordered. Several more minutes later and no beverages.. Our waitress came to the table and asked if we had drinks ordered, no explanation of buffet or menu items you could order at the table. The reason this was important to me as I had invited a friend who was disabled and could not navigate the buffet line. Another fifteen minutes went by and drink hostess showed up with beverages. I asked about ordering from a menu and she said that she would ask. Mind you this was advertised on their website for this brunch that you could do the buffet or order from the menu. Hence why I chose this restaurant. A gentleman showed up who said that it wasn't possible to do so - I assume it was a manager. I explained why I was disappointed and he offered no other options. Finally, we decided to go to the buffet without instruction. At the buffet table, I addressed the same man with another woman manager who I again explained the situation too. She seemed very accommodating and I advised her that the website mentioned the Easter meal menu items. Moving forward the buffet was sad. The trays of food were empty or nearly empty. It was like a complimentary breakfast you would get at a hotel stay although the flavor was a bit better. We returned to our seats, sat down and watched a plate of eggs benedict being served to the table behind us. We stopped the waitress and she informed us we can get that as well as crepes brought to the table! In all too young a staff-$50 thumbs down.
Superb Easter Brunch. Delicious buffet. Roast. Beef was tender and tasty. Service was very good. Friendly and professional and prompt.
The ventilation system in the kitchen went out and the entire restaurant filled with smoke. Staff opened doors and windows to get the smoke out, but it took our entire visit for it to go away. The bartender seemed new, as all of their signature drinks tasted off. Food was good, but sat at the kitchen window too long and was overdone and cool.
We’ve been here before and have never had a problem. I guess this was just an off night.
Old Fashioned was awful. Salmon was dry and steak was a lot of work to eat. Server was excellent.
Terrific ambiance, delicious food and great service. And strolling the Village after dinner was a treat too. We will be back!
Love the atmosphere.. just dont love the food. Others must because it is always busy...
Twigs never disappoints. I’ve been to both locations in Spokane, and now Meridian, and I’ve never been disappointed. Good to know the name means quality food and service no matter where you’re at!
Although they took our order shortly after being seated, we waited over an hour for our food. When it did finally arrive, it was luke warm at best and two of the 7 orders were the wrong thing. Alcoholic drink (Cosmopolitan) was also only half of a glass. Two people had steaks ordered medium...both were well done. Salmon was overcooked as well. I would not recommend this place.
Great food and service but pretty noisy.
Had a great time. It was a wonderful 2nd date kind of place
It was just ok. Drinks took forever to come out, food was mediocre for the price. Decent atmosphere but expensive for what you get.
Great food and service
Pizza just wasn’t as good as last time. Sauce was way too strongly flavored/tangy.
First let me note that their drinks are always great! We ordered 2 filet dinners. One medium well and the other medium. They came out rare to medium rare. The medium well wasn’t even warm enough to melt the butter that was placed on top of it. The ‘seasonal vegetables’ were soggy and appeared to be from last season. We hadn’t been there in quite some time and this reminded us of the reason why we don’t eat here.
My girlfriend and I had a great overall experience. We have celebrated the last 4 Valentine's days at Twigs. The food took longer than usual coming out, especially since there were only 2 of us. It was busy which I understand though. It was a nice meal and the food was great.
This is one of the best places to eat in all of Meridian/Boise. The food is always great and the servers are polite and helpful. Ambience is very nice too, depending on where you are in the resturant, you can watch the water fountains while enjoying a great meal.
Twiggs is always very good. This time, the food was a little sub par surprisingly. I had the fillet and it was served on a purée of parsnips. I didn’t care at all for the flavor. Potatoes would have been much better. The steak was more rare than medium as ordered, but it was ok. The cut had a little fat which surprised me for a fillet. Not horrible though. We had a newer desert. A chocolate and coconut mouse type item. The coconut mouse was not good and I love coconut. Should have stuck with the cookie! Service was excellent however, the food just wasn’t awesome like usual.
Usually good, but the soup was bland and the fried cheese on my burger was still partially frozen. They were awesome about it, took it off our ticket, etc. so we’ll probably try it once more. At least the drinks are tasty.
Had a wonderful dining experience. Twigs has become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Alexis did a fantastic job serving us. The Alaskan Cod & Fries and Truffle Steak Penne were prepared to perfection...not to mention the Bruschetta Flatbread appetizer (one of our favorites) and, of course, the Strawberry Mojitos. Can't wait for it to warm up so we can eat outside on the patio!!
Martinis were quite good but the food was pretty mediocre with way too much salt. Had the marinated chicken and the ahi tuna. Service and ambiance was quite nice.
The Tuscan Pizza is awesome. The waitress was also helpful on drink choices.
What a great experience! I promised my fiancé more dates in 2019 and
Great place with the Ambiance with the village fountains
Great friendly service, great cocktails, food kinda meh.... chicken overdone, halibut not completely deboned...
Food was good, but the service was extremely slow. It took 20 minutes to get drinks, and about another 40 to get food. If it was busy I would understand; however, this was not a busy night.
Our server was great. Busy Saturday night and she killed it. Great food. Great wine. Excellent service.
I was served a drink that not only lacked half the ingredients but the used expired cream! When I told the waitress, she argued with me. But took it back to bartender who said “oops”. Served me another drink made properly, but full price.
This is a good option. Our server was great but it seemed like our food took longer than it should have, but we weren't in any hurry so it was all good. The food was awesome!
The food was great, our server was very attentive, and the inside of the restaurant is pleasant and comfortable. The noise level is a bit jarring....noise echoes a lot in there and it can be quite loud.
We were shown to a small deuce table against the outside window wall and surrounded by tables for parties of six and eight. The tables nearby were empty so our orders went in quickly. I had the basic fish and chips and my guest had a steak ordered medium well. Salads arrived, mine with about a thimble full of vinaigrette dressing. My wife had the same salad and hers was drenched. So much for consistency of preparation
My fish arrived, two 4 inch squares of what might have been frozen fish from a box. Fish was warm and oozing fry oil grease. Laid atop the French fries which were hot and tasty. Fish came with tartar sauce that was watery but tasted ok. Coleslaw offering had some undisclosed pepper that set my mouth on fire. My guest’s steak was delivered well done, not medium well as requested but it wasn’t burned so she ate it.
Ordered ice cream for desert to deal with burning tongue and lips from coleslaw. All they had was vanilla. Finished off with tepid, bitter tasting decaf coffees. Not the most stellar experience. We know they can do better as we have eaten here several times before with much better results.
