Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar - Meridian
food was ok, the salad's that we had seem old. i was expecting more fresh lettuce and toppings. the waiter was good and did her best for a busy night.
we have had several meals at the Twigs and found it to very good, but this visit was disappointing.
The food was fantastic. The server was very nice and helpful. We very much enjoyed our experience.
One of my favorite restaurants. Great fresh food with lots of choices on the menu along with excellent service.
Having been past patrons of Twigs and really enjoying it, we were very disappointed to see that the caliber of the restaurant had deteriorated, the menu looking more like cafeteria style, the ambience nonexistent. The prices however remained high. Not value priced at all. We were seated in the dark rear, next to a family with children, despite a reservation and a mostly empty restaurant.
The menu choices seemed lackluster compared to our last experience.
Our last experience was very pleasant and I was always very pleased with the attention, quality and style. It seems that the level of style has deteriorated to serve more of a mass market than a high-quality experience. My wife and I will likely not return.
Our server and food were great. The only drawback was the experience making a reservation. Planning in advance and requesting patio service was a problem. The first to arrive in our party was informed Twigs doesn’t take reservations and proceeded to seat our group AT THE BAR. Once I texted my confirmation number to this person so she could show reservation, the answer changed to “can’t do reservations on the patio” and gave us a table indoorS ...the open table request was very clear about seating on patio and in fact limited the number in our party because of patio request. There were plenty of days to have contacted our group and discussed the request, but nothing was said until our arrival. Starting a meal and group outing with conflict soured a bit of the experience. Again, food, drink and server were great!
Witches night out!
Good food and nice ambiance. Best Osso Buco in Boise.
Very tricky to locate, if you're from out of town. We were late, as a result .hostess gracious, wait staff excellent. Food seemed a little too intent on being chic. Limited chouce of entrees, but many smaller plates. Drinks were excellent. Very lively setting, if outside. Very entertaining people watching, not quiet or romantic.
My wife’s Salmon was vsry salty and the good generally mundane. We really wanted to have something special for our anniversary, but it didn’t work out that way.
I would still recommend for drinks and dinner but lunch no menu was not good. Service was great though
It was our 25th wedding anniversary and everyone we came in contact with mentioned it. The service and food we're amazing. The Drunken donuts we had for dessert were heavenly.
Not sure, our martini wasn't super cold like we asked it to be.
This was my second time eating here and it will def be my last. The food was lackluster and the service poor. The first time I ate here they brought out the appetizers with the main dishes. This time I specifically requested that the appetizers come first, and next thing you know they are bringing Inc out the main dishes BEFORE we were even served the apps. when I said something to the server, she said they could put our meals on the next table until we were down with the apps !?!? Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
My only complaint was that the burger I ordered medium-rare came well-done. I didn't send it back, and found it pretty good, but would have preferred that it had been prepared as ordered. I showed it to the server, who was apologetic and reported it to the manager, and it was taken off the bill. I certainly appreciated that they responded as they did, which was probably more than they had to do. Overall quality and service were quite good, and we will go back. My guess is that the burger would have been outstanding had it been medium-rare, or even medium.
It was great and got to listen to the music from Rock the Village. We had requested a patio table but found out you can’t reserve a patio table. We were seated next to the opening to the outside which worked great.
Love the food. Service always solid and the Morroccon appetizer with the cheese dip is the damn bomb.
Loved the food, service, and atmosphere. Ate here with my family and we will definitely return.
Twigs is always consistent. The service there is by far the best in The Village, and the environment is great for a conversation when it’s not packed. Solid go-to.
We love the food and service especially our server Emily
Very quiet even with the concert series at the Village! Our waitress was kind, considerate, and helpful. The food was divine and arrived quickly after order.
1st time bringing the whole family. The waitress was super patient and even let us exchange one of our kids dinners and brought the second meal quickly.
Food was okay. Good Caesar salad. Had the salmon and even though I asked for underdone, it was still tough. Seemed to be frozen, not fresh. Nice spot with good patio for people watching in the outdoor mall. Was hoping for better food. Oh well.
Service was excellent, drinks were excellent and prices were moderate. The only negative was that the restaurant has no way to shade the tables from the West setting sun. We were told that management is ordering shades but this was our second time in a month with the same problem. Our waiter apologized but that didn’t solve the sun in our eyes for an hour.
The patio is fun to people watch from.
Decent food, service. It didn’t make me want to go back anytime soon.
Enjoyed a lovely, relaxing lunch with a friend from out of town. The entire atmosphere provided a wonderful space to catch up over great food.
Very pleasant night out.
Tasty food, moderately priced. Service was very good.
The quality of the food is sub-par. For the extensive array of foods available in Boise, there will be no reason to return to Twigs. I ate at Fork earlier this week and Twigs was like stepping down to McDonalds quality with Fork prices. I won't be back.
It took an hour for our main courses to come then the food was cold salads were all wilted lettuce- don’t go here!
I took my wife to Twigs for Mother's Day. We had reserations for 1:30pm. We asked to have a table in the shade, instead the hostess put us in direct sun light, no umbrella. We had to insist to be place in the shade. The food was very limited in variety as we've experienced elsewhere. Result, we never went back for seconds, as it wasn't that good, and the buffet lines were long and crammed into limited space. We may try Twigs again, but never on Mother's Day. Hostess and waitresses seemed very overwhelmed.
I took my mom to twigs for Mother's Day dinner on a Saturday night. Although the restaurant was busy, they accommodated my table request beautifully. My mom said she thought it was the best dinner she's ever had! Thank you twigs, you never disappoint!
I brought my family of 6 to Twigs on May 5th with the expectation that the quality of the experience would be commensurate with the cost. Unfortunately, while we did find the meal to be quite expensive, the quality of the food was mediocre at best and the service was sub-par for similar establishments. We will not be back.
Another fantastic dining experience at one of our favorite dinner establishments!!!
Great service, yummy calamari and fries!
Went there for Easter brunch. They found my reservation after searching for a bit then went to see if a table was clean. I sat directly to the right of the in full view of the greeting desk. The hostess came back and never addressed me again. I finally went back up to her and said did you forget about me? Seated my party. There was no explanation of buffet - just sat us and left. After several minutes of waiting, a drink hostess passed by which I had to call out to stop her. Finally got some beverages ordered. Several more minutes later and no beverages.. Our waitress came to the table and asked if we had drinks ordered, no explanation of buffet or menu items you could order at the table. The reason this was important to me as I had invited a friend who was disabled and could not navigate the buffet line. Another fifteen minutes went by and drink hostess showed up with beverages. I asked about ordering from a menu and she said that she would ask. Mind you this was advertised on their website for this brunch that you could do the buffet or order from the menu. Hence why I chose this restaurant. A gentleman showed up who said that it wasn't possible to do so - I assume it was a manager. I explained why I was disappointed and he offered no other options. Finally, we decided to go to the buffet without instruction. At the buffet table, I addressed the same man with another woman manager who I again explained the situation too. She seemed very accommodating and I advised her that the website mentioned the Easter meal menu items. Moving forward the buffet was sad. The trays of food were empty or nearly empty. It was like a complimentary breakfast you would get at a hotel stay although the flavor was a bit better. We returned to our seats, sat down and watched a plate of eggs benedict being served to the table behind us. We stopped the waitress and she informed us we can get that as well as crepes brought to the table! In all too young a staff-$50 thumbs down.
Superb Easter Brunch. Delicious buffet. Roast. Beef was tender and tasty. Service was very good. Friendly and professional and prompt.
The ventilation system in the kitchen went out and the entire restaurant filled with smoke. Staff opened doors and windows to get the smoke out, but it took our entire visit for it to go away. The bartender seemed new, as all of their signature drinks tasted off. Food was good, but sat at the kitchen window too long and was overdone and cool.
We’ve been here before and have never had a problem. I guess this was just an off night.
Old Fashioned was awful. Salmon was dry and steak was a lot of work to eat. Server was excellent.
