Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar - Bridgeport
Happy Hour everyday from 3:00-6:00 and 9:00-12:00
My parents met my fiance and I at Twigs to celebrate Father's Day and my birthday. We showed up early and had some drinks at the bar. The Tiki Crush drink is delicious!
We had a reservation but it wasn't necessary as there were plenty of open tables. The atmosphere is relaxed- there is not too much noise and the staff does not rush you to make decisions on your order. Our server was incredibly polite and checked on us intermittently. This was my fourth or fifth visit to Twigs and I will definitely come back.
Father's Day dinner with family.
Bartenders great! Service in bar area ok. Food decent. Average night. Great wine pours!
Emily our server is outstanding. She has helped us several times during previous visits. She is always so professional and often remembers what our favorite drinks are. Really enjoy the food and the awesome staff.
One of my favorites. Have never had a bad experience and everything I’ve ordered has been outstanding
Stoped here while running errands. Waitress was very nice and attentive. Drinks were good...I had a French 75 and my husband had a gin martini.
We ordered appetizers off the happy hour menu. The food was ok, but seemed to be lacking the fresh ingredients that you’ll find throughout Portland.
I thought the staff was so helpful and we had a big party and we were accomodated well. Thanks
Great all around!!!
This was our 2nd time at Twigs and both were very good experiences. The food and the staff were very friendly and accommodating for gluten free dishes and seating by the fireplace.
This was our first visit to this restaurant. We took another couple as it was our monthly get together. The drinks were different and very tasty, particulalry if you like martinis. The food was also very good and the service was excellent. My only criticism was the noise level which made communicatin with our friends difficult. However, we all agreed the restaurant was a find and we would consider another visit.
Easter Buffet was average.
We went to Twigs for Easter Brunch. The food was cold and limited. Dessert consisted of Rice Krispie treats, strawberries and marshmallows. Our service was so bad that we couldn't even order mimosas. Our plates were never cleared so we had to put them on an empty table. Near the end of our experience, we asked for another server and she was attentive at least.
We made a reservation at twigs for dinner at 10:45. When we arrived we found out they closed at 10.
From start to finish, this was a great experience. The wait staff were pleasant and attentive without hovering. Food options were many and everyone had a hard time choosing. The food was delicious and served with pride.
Pretty loud, could do with some sound deadening panels or something. Nice menu with lots of options
My wife and I have been to Twigs a few times. Happy hour is not a bad idea, however, for an evening meal..not the best choices. They often are under staffed, they have staff running food that probably should be working in the back only and the servers, don't really seem to care much. I don't ask much, keep my water full and be polite..... We likely will not be going back.
Not only have they changed the menu items, the food tasted totally different and wasn’t as good as before. Margaritas weren’t as good as usual either. We were very disappointed as this is one of our favorite places.
Enjoyable lunch with friends. Excellent service and food was very tasty.
Very nice restaurant and staff. Sitting by the fire was especially nice!
Two out of the eight people in our party liked their food.
Food was good. Service was outstanding. Great wait staff and servers. We went on a busy Friday night at Bridgeport. There were long waits at Pastini Pastaria i and CPK so we tried Twigs. No wait. Good experience.
I would suggest changing the name. Twigs does not sound like a restaurant, and the term Bistro and Martini Bar imply more of an adult and pricier experience. I think the name keeps many customers from trying it.
Girls night out
I didn't like the choice of the vegetables this go around.
Wonderful food, great drinks, & awesome service. Can’t wait to go back to get the Drunken Donuts!
Our server, Sophia, was great! Food was mediocre and over-priced for the quality. However, it was wonderful to have a dedicated gluten-free menu! We had g-f crab mac and cheese and g-f chicken adobo tacos. The penne pasta was cooked to perfection, but the crab was rubbery, of low quality, and the bacon in the sauce overpowered the dish. The chicken in the tacos was slightly dry and lacked discernable flavor, but a requested side of mango salsa helped both issues. Salad dressings on garden salads were also bland. Cocktails and wine were good.
Regarding the ambiance, tables were much too closely packed, and the noise was very loud during weekend dinner service. Had to circle the parking lot 5 times in order to secure a parking space because the lot competes with a theater, shops, and other restaurants.
We would try it again though, even with these deficits, just because of the dedicated special menus.
My waiter Tim was exceptional! He not only kept me entertained while I waited almost 2 hours for my guests to show up but he offered excellent choices in food and drink options. He smiled and came around exactly when needed throughout the evening. Thank you for having such a lovely person working there. 🙌🏻❤️😁
Great service and food!
Our server was wonderful and personable. Our dinners were delicious - the pesto chicken and coulotte steak. And, the drunken donuts for dessert were amazing. I would definitely return.
This place might be good for a afternoon coffee break but I would not buy dinner there and their so called martini bar left a lot to be desired. I ordered a black and blue 10 oz. NY strip. When I got it, it was cooked well done and not med rare, and for 10 oz steak it was like 1/4 inch thick at best. I knew it was going to be bad. Also it was served with mash potatoes that were cold in spot like they were microwaved out of the fridge. The waitress reordered another one for me and it was slightly less dry but still over cooked. It was suppose to be black pepper crusted which it wasn't. I was not expecting a prime aged steak nor was I expecting a select grade either which I think it was. But for $30.00 and I was not expecting a piece of leather and cold mashers. Plus they do not even serve bread with the meal which is unusual also. I must give them credit though their French fries were fresh and hot.
My wife and I go here a couple times a month and every time it is amazing!! Great service and awesome food and drinks are always spot on!!!
It was a very wintery day in Portland and Twigs honored our reservation and provided service with a smile. Food was wonderful and the wait staff were TERRIFIC! Thank you for spending your blustery Christmas Eve with us out of towners.
I love going to Twigs - the food is consistently delicious, the staff is attentive without being annoying and while it can be loud due to the open seating style, it always feels like your having a great time. Everything we’ve tried has tasted fresh, is appropriately hot or chilled and the portion sizes are a good value for the price. Gems: calamari with roasted artichoke hearts, fig & prosciutto flatbread, any entree and the sticky cookie. Their drinks are beautifully mixed and presented. Go and have a great time!
We enjoyed sitting by the warm fire located in Twigs on a cold, wet day in Oregon. Service was excellent, and the food very good.
Great options for vegans
Fantastic evening, got the exact table we requested and the server we requested. The manager and general manager were incredible to my friend and I. The evening was truly lovely. Thank you so much!
Amazing how poor service (slow, inaccurate, condescending, not helpful) can affect overall opinion of a place. The food was very good but with all the restaurant choices available today, there is nothing compelling about giving this place another try.
On a weekend, so they were very busy when we arrived and customers were waiting. Happy we had booked thru Open Table! We requested a booth and it was available to us at our reserved time. We enjoyed the food and service.
Had a business lunch with 5 of us-we'd made a reservation and arrived a few minutes prior to our time. The table wasn't ready even though the restaurant was practically empty at that time. Then, the service was extremely slow--it took nearly 30 minutes for our order to be taken and then forever for our food to come. Considering that 3 of our party ordered appetizers for their meal and one had a salad, that was unacceptable. It's lunchtime with a business crowd--slow service is not OK. We had to chase down the check since two of our team had to get back to the office for a meeting.
Overall--you pay for the ambiance and decor (which is great), not for the food or service, which are just average.
First time I ordered Salmon not well one in a restaurant and they actually came through. No problem with special requests, Wait staff very nice and accommodating. The meals were great. I will definatrly return here. Only complaint I have is the Martinis had a little bit of slivered ice which watered them down a bit as it melted.
Wonderful staff and atmosphere !!
