Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar - Bridgeport
I have 3 boys who are picky eaters. We’ve not been to Twigs before, so I looked at their online menu saw that they had a great variety of options on their kids menu (yes it’s a huge deciding factor). I was also impressed by the adult entrees and reasonably priced and sized. It’s casual dining but with a flare. We’d be back.
Staff did a wonderful job accommodating our request for an outside table for our rare kidless night out (which was also our anniversary...). Beautiful patio area & great food!
I love this restaurant because I can count on delicious, gluten free food and great service.
Nice ambiance, lovely help. I had the seared ahi sandwich. The accompanying parts of the dish were quite good, but the ahi wasn’t fresh enough. The flavor was fine but the texture of the fish was off. Also, if you’re going to offer a house wine, IT SHOULD BE AN OREGON WINE. Your restaurant is practically in the midst of some of the best wine available and you sell so so CA wine. Tsk tsk.
Good service and excellent food and drinks! Atmosphere is energetic.
Great food, great service. lots of fun. .........................................................................................................
Our waitress was outstanding.
She was patient, courteous and very helpful.
Service was great from both the greeter and wait person. I love the Pear Beet salad so very satisfied with entree. The ambience is cozy by the fire. Acoustics aren’t great so it gets a bit loud at times. The best part is that I never feel rushed.
Our server was in a huge rush to get us out of there. She did not seem happy we were only there for drinks.
Great place. Staff was very attentive and cocktail knowledge was amazing. Food was good, not amazing, but very good. Will definitely visit again
The gluten free options were not only plenty, but so delicious. The bread had a delicate mouth feel like "real" bread; not crumbly or gritty. I would eat here any day!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything about it is classy. Taking two little girls (6 and 9) to dinner can be challenging. Both loved their dinners (one is gluten intolerant - many choices) and took their leftovers home for lunch. Parents ordered two pasta dishes, I had the steak. YUMMY! Our martinis were outstanding Huckleberry Lemon Drop and a Key Lime. Oh, my goodness...next time I'll take Lyft or Uber and have a second drink.
The crab Mac n cheese and calamari were great. The Brussels sprouts were so-so. The drinks were too sweet for any of our tastes (the 3 of us had 5 drinks altogether), and our server was really inattentive. We had to try to get another server to go get him any time we wanted to order (3x) and then the bill.
Always great service. Staff was courteous, prompt and could not believe how quickly our food arrived.
Great friendly staff; great bar drinks! Huckleberry lemon drop is THE best!
Everything was perfect! Thank you!
i'd recommend the appetizers and cocktails. The dinners were not worth the investment.
We had the most attentive, but not obnoxious server - Olivia! Her cocktail recommendations were spot on! We enjoyed our appetizer as well as our entrees, and wished we had saved room for dessert. The restaurant is lovely and my sister and I were not troubled by loud noises.
Everything was amazing! I love how fresh & delicious the food is. Service is always fast.
Great food and great service. The people there are super nice and friendly. The food and drinks are out of this world. Definitely worth the time to go visit and enjoy there yummy food.
Enjoyed the whole package 😊 I ordered off the wrong page but it didn't matter ,the food was delicious and especially the dessert. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new restaurant and friendly place.
Was as good as it always is.
Three of us had a lovely lunch at Twigs on a relatively quiet Friday afternoon where the food was excellent and the service was terrific. The atmosphere was lovely with a beautiful fire (so lovely on a cold February day) and the noise level was conducive to our conversation not being strained. WE ordered the chili late peanut butter mouse and it was terrific!
Very quick and nice service. We had a variety of dinner choices and everyone was happy with their meal. The salmon was particularly good.
This is usually a 3-4 star experience for us. Nothing fancy, but usually consistent. WE will give it another go.
Love the Gluten Free Pear Beet Salad along with the friendly service. The acoustics are a bit loud but the ambience is cozy.
Our appetizer came out lukewarm (fondue) and the chicken in our meal was over cooked. We were sitting along the wall next to the kitchen and could hear the employees trash talking the customers. We been here many times and have had a great experience but this was time was awful.
Great family dinner for New Year’s Eve. Our waiter Scott J was wonderful. Fun drinks and lovely food. Thank You!
Everything was wonderful except when I got home I had an email from Open Table that I did not keep my reservation. I specifically checked in with the hostess because it was Christmas Eve and there were few reservations available when I made ours. The service was excellent as was the food. We had a nice dinner after the movies.
Unusually poor service tonight. Our meals arrived, and the food was good, but we were out of drinks and water. Our server never checked on us until we were finished eating. After running our card, our server provided no pen, and it took me 5 minutes to track someone down for a pen. It’s the first time we’ve ever had poor service here.
Food has always been good. I appreciate the many gluten free options! We love to sit by the toasty fire in the winter!
The food was really good, but my margarita was way too sweet. Tasted like it was all liqueur.
Great food, the noise level can get loud due to high ceilings but overall not bad. I would return.
Perfect place for a high-quality late night drink and schmooze with friends.
I would only recommend Twigs for cocktails and appetizers. Entrees were just OK, service was friendly but not efficient. Drinks were good but not particulary unique. In a virtual craft cocktail paradise such as Portland Twigs doesn't really stand out. It is convenient while shopping at Bridgeport but not some place I would go out of my way to patronize. Not bad, just not great.
Food was good. Shrimp was overcooked on poor boy sandwich. And it appeared that the grease used to fry the shrimp was old.
There were 4 in our group. Two had the steak and raved about the tenderness and the gorgonzola sauce. One had the osso bucco which was very tender pork over creamy parsnips. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is one had the pesto chicken with seasonal veggies. The chicken was a little overdone. But the flavors were nice. Just nothing special. The service was good and the bill was high; but that is what happens when you order drinks! The Lemon Drop was very good.
Absolutely the best meal ever. Staff is amazing!!!
Our server only came to our table once after he took our orders. My water glass was empty for quite some time during the meal, and I was never offered a refill. Our server, nor anyone else, did not check on us after our meal was delivered to see if it was ok, and the place was not that busy. They don't have a good selection for drinkers of dark beer. The food was ok. We had fish and chips and the fries were way over seasoned, and there was absolutely no dressing on the coleslaw. The fish was decent, but nothing to write home about. My martini was the best part of the whole visit. It had been a while since we were there last, hope this is not a sign of things to come!
Made reservation for our first wedding anniversary via OpenTable app. Upon arrival, I informed the host we had reservations thru OpenTable under my name. We were told there were no reservations, (and that they couldn’t check me in on OpenTable either to receive my points), even while showing him the reservation confirmation on my app and hoping he’d see the note I had bout it being our anniversary and our seating request. Luckily, Twigs wasn’t busy at 8:30pm and had plenty of open seating, but now no one knew of our special occasion and they couldn’t see the notes or requests. Defeats the purpose of making a reservation which asks for those specifics.
