Service is great, always friendly and our waitress put up with my boyfriend asking to taste the beer lol so that’s a huge pro! Pear martini was fantastic. We had the gnocchi with short ribs and falafel sandwich. Both really great! Pizza looked fantastic but we didn’t try it (yet). We shared the flourless chocolate cake and it was ok, sort of a small portion which is fine with me. We will definitely be back.
Overall the restaurant was good, the biggest complaint was the slow service. One bartender only on a Saturday night didn't make sense. Kitchen also was slow although the food was good.
our waitress was good and helpful.
We had a good dinner!
We’ve always had a Positive experience at Twenty8! Amazing food and beverages and a comfortable atmosphere!
Met friends for dinner at Patriots place and this was the only place that had a reservation time we could make. Food was good, service was ok but prices were high. I understand it is a hotel restaurant but I think they would do a better business if the prices were more reasonable. Saw a couple actually walk out complaining that the prices were too high and went somewhere else.
Love everything about the place. There were four us. We all agreed that the food tasted delicious and the portion was huge. The staffs were very friendly. I will definitely return again.
The waitress was horrible. Service was slow. Food took forever and was just ok.
Excellent experience , friendly staff , and great management. We will be back .
Waited 25 minutes for our drinks, then the waiter decided to come tell us that they didn't have the alcohol for my wife's drink and had to order something else and wait for those drinks, 35 minutes for drinks, I asked for a pizza well done, it came out just about raw, we will never be back nor will we recommend
The meal was outstanding. The service could have been a little better. We waited 55 minutes after we ordered our appetizers for them to arrive which seemed excessive as we were the only people in the dining room at the time. After that it was all smooth in timing. The other hiccup was we ordered a bottle of wine and when we asked for another they were out. They suggested another that was $20.00 more than the bottle we started with but after we told them about the delay in the food agreed to give it to us for same price as original.
We were there for restaurant week. You could order from a special menu or pick from their regular menu. The special menu was a great value and the food was very good. This restaurant is located in a sports complex so when there are no events at the stadium it is a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy good food. The staff is very attentive and the drinks are also good. We look forward to returning.
Food was very good but I was very disappointed as I noted in my resevation to bring a dessert out for my boyfriend's birthday and they completely forgot....waiter was very young and not experienced which should not be the case with prices so high.....you expect better.
Good food good service very enjoyable
The service was excellent! The food was great. I would have given 5 stars, but the salad we had could have had fresher, local ingredients. Some of the items (apricots specifically) seemed processed
So bad we had to leave.
Twenty8 has been a go to for many years. Always reliable and delicious!
Would definitely go back again
The wait staff was exceptional! The garlic Parmesan wings were large and delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately there was a large chunk of fat in the middle but the chef took the charge for the steak off our bill. The cheesecake was very good. I would highly recommend for a great dining experience.
This place is located in the Renaissance hotel so can be noisy at times. The food was good with the exception of my turkey sandwich - wasn't expecting cold deli-meat turkey when all the other food is more high-end. Drinks were good & service was excellent.
Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Salad was fresh and interesting. Desert was incredible. I recommend the truffle torte.
Met up with friends before night of dancing.
Food was mediocre and overpriced for the quality we got. Bar cocktails were good but very slow. Atmosphere was good. We were disappointed overall. For $100 plus tip (2 entrees, 4 drinks) we expect higher quality all around.
Attentive staff, good food, god selection, big portions. I'd go again
Food and service were both very good. Prices are a bit high.
We had a party of 13 and everything was terrific. It was quiet due to holidays but we all had different and terrific meals.
I booked an 11am lunch to celebrate our anniversary. I did not know it was inside the Renaissance. When we entered the hotel, no signs of the restaurant name could be found.
It was a Friday, barely anyone there. We had a table by the window, I could see the table's edges were quite beat up. Kind of like they have been used for 10+ years. I guess if you go after sunset, with the romantic dimmed light or a table cloth, you may not see it. I thought they just open this hotel for less than 5 years, but I could be wrong. For that, 3 stars for Ambiance.
Husband had a Bloody Mary; he said it was too thick, didn't like it. He waited for the ice to melt a bit and thin out his drink, still didn't like it. His club sandwich was fine. Really like their fries. For that, 1 star deducted from Food.
I was disappointed that they didn't serve hot entree for lunch. I should have read the menu before I booked the table. For that, another star deducted from Food.
I ordered Wedge salad, added a "steak" for additional $6. I was expected a few steak tips, but it turned out to be a sirloin steak on a separate plate and pretty good size (bigger than my hand).
The 2-people little table was covered with 2 plates of food, an additional plate for the steak, a big plate of Angus Pub Poutine, a coffee pot and cup, Bloody Mary glass, and 2 glasses of water. All of a sudden, the check appeared between all these plates. What's the rush? There was only 1 other table of guests there. For that, 2 stars deducted from Service.
It was my mistake for spending more time to find out how to use the OpenTable Dining Rewards Gift. The manager was very kind. He was running around, making calls, and then found out that I needed to activate the gift online and picked a restaurant there. And Twenty8 actually do not participate in the rewards gift, but he gave me a discount anyways. So, that exceeded my expectation. For that, I added 1 star back to Service.
Good food. Have had better service on previous occasions - felt like they were figuring it out as they went. A few missteps - but friendly and the food was very good. Nice ambiance.
Had reservations at seven and did not get seated until 7:30. Then waited fifteen minutes before a waiter acknowledged we had been seated and said he would be right over. In the mean time he had already brought drinks and appetizers to another table seated after us. Fifteen minutes later we placed our order which included appetizers and salads. After thirty minutes the appetizers arrived followed immediately by our entre'. So we have appetizers salads and the main course on the table all getting cold. No sorry about this or can we hold your dinners, simply here it is. And any empty plate remained on the table until the check arrived. Also when it was time to pay the waiter brings my credit card to another table for them to sign. Had I not been paying attention my credit card would have walked out of the restaurant. For the exhorbinant price of the meal I would have expected better service. The next night we ate at Luciano's down the street. They know how to do it right. Twenty 8 should stop by to learn a thing or two.
Food was excellent as we have come to expect from them. We will always return to this place.
Slow bar service. Chicken Caesar salad came without chicken. Food wasn't hot enough. Waiter and restaurant manager were very nice and did their best but couldn't make up for irresponsible parents/noisy kids in adjoining lobby area, slow bar service, mediocre food and kitchen errors. Chicken Caesar salad was taken off bill- kudos for that!
I have a lot of food intolerances but the chef was able to accommodate them. I have a delicious chicken dish with fabulous roasted potatoes/veggies on the side. I will definitely be back!
Chefs James and Laura were able to accommodate our two boys with severe food allergies. They did so in a welcoming, friendly way and the food was great too! We do not live close, but will be back again soon!
We have been here several times and have never had a bad experience or bad meal, the food and service were outstanding and we will be back.
Sunday night so place was empty. Very clean and excellent decor. Staff was very attentive, friendly and courteous. Food was very good. Very pleased and will be back.
Good food, well served, pleasant atmosphere. Will go again.
We went for dinner on a Sunday night. There were two other tables in the restaurant. The service was painfully slow so it started poorly. We ordered our food (more expensive on the menu in house than listed online) and waited and waited. Finally our food came and it was mediocre. The lobster roll was small, the steak was overcooked and the fried fish was barely warm. I had made a note when I made the reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary so when we asked for the check the waiter tried to delay so that they had time to put something together. While I appreciated them bringing a piece of cake, the meal had already taken so long we were just ready to go. Overall we paid a lot of money for very average food. I will not be returning.
I and my friends joined up at Twenty8 for dinner. We found the service to be attentive and the beer selection to be very good. The menu has a great mix of items, seafood, steak, etc.
We had the Twenty8 pizza, whisky burger, lobster roll, calamari and other items.
Food was cooked perfect
I dined with a friend here for an early lunch. The Caesar salad with chicken was expertly prepared and the crab cake sandwich had lots of crab and a yummy sauce.
Food was OK but overall poor value for money. I had the hand cut ribeye and it was not worth $32. The jambalaya was over seasoned. Flatbread were good but not enough for a return visit.
