Twenty Eight Atlantic at Wequassett Resort Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary and we chose 28 Atlantic because it was on the ocean . It was a wonderful experience: the staff were very accomodating, especially our server who was a delight, The food was delicious, Although the servings were a tad small for the price, it in no way took away from the experience of being at 28 Atlantic. We shall return.
When you find a spot you never knew existed and have an off the charts experience you can't help but want to tell others about it.
Local Sea Bass with squid ink risotto was just so different and perfect. The service and attention to detail was what really stood out along with a beautiful view.
The setting for the restaurant was outstanding as it sat above a beautiful little bay overlooking the Atlantic on Cape Cod. The wait staff were attentive and quite knowledgable regarding the food. The bread was quite special and they were able to produce some freshly baked gluten free bread for my wife. Our entrees were lovely and we had a luscious Oregon Pinot Noir. The ambience was conducive for an intimate romantic dinner despite the large dining room. Overall a very special experience.
This place is one of the most upscale and unique places on cape cod. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was outstanding. The chef gave us a few complimentary course as well as a parting gift. Overall I would recommend for those looking for a more upscale dining experience for a great night out!
I have been going to Twenty Eight Atlantic for years and came here to celebrate my anniversary with my wife on Saturday and was pretty disappointed with the food and service. The view was amazing and we had a great time but the servers were nice but completely overwhelmed, my oysters were warm and my wife's steak was pretty average. I love the atmosphere here so I hope the place can rebound to how great it was 4-5 years ago...
We reserved dinner at 28 Atlantic for a graduation celebration, upon recommendation from a frequent flyer to this restaurant. The entire experience exceeded our expectations and was absolutely lovely. The entire waitstaff knew of the special occasion (we had noted it in the reservation when requesting a table) and congratulated us throughout. The service was superb (the maitre d' went out of his way to hunt down some analgesic) . The view and ambiance were excellent and the food very good.
we went there for a romantic 40 year birthday celebration. I primarily chose the restaurant for the view, and the view did not disappoint. Our waiter may have been new and inexperienced, but he was not very good about his recommendations and his general abilities to be a good waiter. It did put a big damper on teh evening.
The Wequassett and Twenty Eight Atlantic met our expectation. We brought friends who were dining there for the first time and also celebrated my wife's birthday. The restaurant provided special touches on both accounts, it was a wonderful evening. The food, service and dinning room/view were great. The dishes were prepared expertly and the presentations were beautifully designed. We keep coming back because........
We have been to Twenty Eight Atlantic several times over the past few years, primarily for celebrations of one sort or another.
The ambiance is certainly among the best on this part of the Cape. Beautiful views, lovely room and very nice tables.
The food is always good although we felt like we had had better preparation and taste in prior visits. This doesn't mean it was in any way bad, just not as good as we remembered from the past few visits.
They certainly went out of their way to help our son and his fiance celebrate their engagement with us, which we appreciated.
Overall satisfactory to very good, but not great food, thus the value would be considered about average for the price.
Our experience at 28 Atlantic exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful place everywhere you turn, scenic ocean views, incredible wait persons and an outstanding/creative menu. We highly recommend this venue for special occasions of any kind. We would like to return and try Thoreau"s sometime and/or their casual outside dining during summer months.
We love coming here for a special occasion, and our most recent dinner at 28 Atlantic was in celebration of our wedding anniversary. Everything was fabulous. I think our only caveat is that the food is richer than we are accustomed to eating...lots of buttery preparations, etc. That being said, it all tastes incredible! And it is a lovely dining sport, both in regards to the quiet spacious room and the lovely water views that are just outside the expansive windows.
very pricey, and service was weak. it is part of a resort so you expect some resort feel, but it feels like a big hotel restaurant and does not have much ambiance or character. too much focus on fancy menus and not enough on staff training and good old fashioned service. waiter was handling too many tables and never brought bread or coffee. stupid little things, but they put a damper on the experience.
Great total experience. I especially appreciated the smooth handling of my gluten restriction. The GF bread was a great touch. Food was very well prepared and plated but seemed a bit skimpy on the included sides. Service was very attentive but not intrusive.
Truly enexpected excellence in a resort. There is no need for a city-dweller to lower expectations on food or service in this sophisticated, beautifully appointed Cape Cod dining room. Even though we have a family home in the area, I wanted to stay in the rooms to continue the pampering. Have not been to the property since a family wedding a few years ago and was struck this time by how this property is head and shoulders above anything in the area. The butter-poached lobster is the stuff of dreams!! The wine list was superb in all price ranges.
Beautiful setting, looking out over Pleasant Bay, nice ambience. Our waiter Ian not only provided great service, but was also just delightful and fun. We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and the restaurant really added some nice, personal touches that were unexpected.
