Very friendly service and beautiful view. Food was just ok. Fish was dry (cost $44) Given the cost we expected it to be cooked perfectly.
We came in for dinner to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and have one last date night before we welcome our second baby. Service was top notch, the food was exquisite, and the dining room is beautiful. The kitchen added a small “congratulations” chocolate to our dessert in regards to our new baby which I thought was an extremely thoughtful touch! We had a nice walk around the property after dinner. We will definitely be back!
Amazing atmosphere with top notch service from entering guest services to Outstanding waiter John.,Food was exceptional hats off to the Chef! We will certainly be back and tell our friends of your amazing restaraunt
This is truly a destination restaurant for someone who is passionate about creative and memorable dining. Yes, the prices are fairly high, but the chef delivers, the service is genuinely premium and the ocean view spectacular. A solid wine list adds to the lovely experience. many restaurants aspire to be top tier. In our country, few make the highest grade. Also, a positive, I didn't detect any "attitude". The staff is genuinely interested in making your evening a delight. As you would expect, there is plenty of splendid seafood, but other options are available and presumably equally satisfying.
We loved our meal! We came here after our wedding ceremony to celebrate our special day.
Great venue but the experience was unfortunately impacted by Covid restrictions. However, considering the restrictions, still an exceptional venue.
We have dined here several times and always found it to be an extraordinary experience. Last night, while we understand the required changes as a result of Covid, we were unprepared for being seated outside next to some very loud parties. While I understand there’s limited seating in the main dining room, the restaurant made no indication that virtually all seating would be outside. Furthermore, the email that was sent to me confirming my reservation had a link to a menu for the restaurant. This menu was very typical of what we’ve experienced over many dining experiences at the restaurant. However when we were seated outside we were given a menu that was completely different and was missing many items from the electronic version sent to me.
I think the Twenty Eight Atlantic should be more transparent about these changes since it’s totally out of character with all prior dining experiences we have had at this restaurant. People should be prepared for a menu that’s different than what is being represented in the confirming email from the restaurant and if you’re looking for an intimate quiet dinner in a five-star restaurant you might want to reconsider.
I made a reservation for 28 Atlantic and was not seated in the restaurant, but rather an area with a tent roof and it was open to the outside. It would have been ok had it not been a cold and rainy night. Not what I was expecting.
28 Atlantic never fails to be the best fine dining on the Cape. Everything was fabulous as always and the service impeccable...
Vivian was amazing
Food was amazing. Service was great. Restaurant was elegant. You would be hard pressed to find a better dinning experience.
We always enjoy our time at 28 Atlantic for our special occasions. Ambiance is elegant with beautiful views. Food is unique and creative. Service is usually good but our server this last visit was not attentive.
The service and food were superb, as well as the outdoor seating. We had a wonderful and relaxing dinner.
Our waitresses were so friendly and wonderful with their service. The food was very delicious and we're surprised the restaurant doesn't have a Michelin star because the food and experience were impeccable. The hostess and manager were also very friendly and thoughtful; ouyt first night at the restaurant was a celebration of our anniversary and what would have been our wedding night. They expressed their condolences about our postponed wedding and gave us chocolates and our card for our celebration. This sincere and thoughtful gesture was a great beginning to our experience at Twenty-eight Atlantic. We want to visit Cape Cod again sheerly for this restaurant.
Words can not describe the most amazing experience we enjoyed at twenty eight. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted with beautiful card and chocolates to celebrate my husbands birthday. Our server, Eme was outstanding! Each course was beautiful and delicious. We even booked the Wequassett Resort and it was magnificent! The service was outstanding!
Wonderful place - highly recommend!
We celebrated our 32 anniversary there and despite all the COVID regulations and protocols, they went out of their way to make it a special occasion for us. We sat on the terrace overlooking the water. Service and food was top notch and the personalized card and chocolates were a sweet touch. I would highly recommend dining with them!
Outstanding atmosphere and amazing service.
Our first time at this restaurant was excellent. The food was well prepared and fresh; the service was top class too. This second time, the food was a real disappointment. Our waiter tried very hard and clearly knew something was amiss. For the price, this restaurant needs to do much better in the kitchen. automatically adding an 18% tip to the bill was a not particularly nice surprise either.
We love Twenty Eight Atlantic and come at least a couple of times a summer, plus also like Thoreau's and the Outer Bar. We knew it would be a lot different this year and were happy just to be able to dine out. But it was a VERY different experience. The prices were the same (we ordered 28 Atlantic dishes from what is now a combined menu) but no longer include bread service or any extras. It seemed more like casual hotel dining, albeit one with a beautiful view. The food is still excellent. I feel like at those prices they should at least bring back bread service.
They are clearly short on staff - which again I understand given the visa restrictions in place. The servers were well meaning but there were long lags in service, they didn't know who had ordered what, no one refilled our wine glasses (maybe that's no longer allowed?).
Hopefully these changes aren't permanent - I look forward to next summer.
Wonderful experience; highly recommend
Food was delicious but portions were VERY small. I can appreciate the certain gourmet vibe but my meal was missing a vegetable and I wasn’t even substituted something else. No bread course either. Also, the children’s menu was bigger than the regular adult menu which was odd. Very few options. Food was certainly tasty but was just lacking that something extra you expect for that price tag. Service was good and the ambience was wonderful. We would love to go back someday to try the regular full menu as this was the “post Covid” version. This is a very special spot but the food fell just short of expectations unfortunately.
The service and view are exceptional. The place where they drop the ball, big time, is the quality of the food. The hamburger was premade and overcooked. The fries were soggy. At $25 for a burger that’s not acceptable. The chicken at$37 was bland.
Very nice experience. Beautiful resort on water.
As expected from a resort of this level, prices are at higher end.
Great escape from crowded Chatham restaurants and only 15 minutes away.
Food was on the cool side temp wise. Scallops and lobster were overcooked though. Drinks were great. Service excellent. Very nice ambiance. Unfortunately for the price I expect my food hot and cooked appropriately and would not go back.
Limited menu due to Covid-19, so the experience was not up to standards.
Completely inexperienced and untrained staff. Essentially like having no service at all. My salad was missing ingredients that were supposed to be in it. Other food our party had was also mediocre. Table setting and general decor was severely lacking.
Five-star prices for 1-star experience. Never again.
Went for cocktails and appetizers, with an ocean view and was not disappointed
We had an outstanding 40th anniversary dinner here and loved it! The food was excellent with service to match! Love this place!
Lots of attention to detail and care given to pandemic requirements. The food was wonderful, the lobster mushroom bucatini carbonara was simply amazing! Liz our server was excellent- (even though she was in training).
We love Wequassett, we had a great evening. Service wasn't great, slow on drinks, overcooked wagu. Extra plates and glasses not picked up. We will still return. We understand what you have been through as a business. Just a tip on the wagu .....the sauce is way to salty for an amazing cut of meat.
Service providers were polite.
We will return.
Dear SDHP, Thank you for your review and for your continued interest in Wequassett. It is disappointing to hear that you experienced a few shortcomings during your meal, and will certainly share your feedback with the team. We look forward to your return and to providing you with a more memorable dining experience. Best regards, Josette C Willis Director of Quality Assurance
Beautiful spot, great food, great servers!
Poor experience. Our appetizer had peach pit in it -which could of broken our tooth. With the prices they charge this should not be happening. We did make our waitress aware and did nothing. I have Celiac and they offered to make Halibut. The fish was so bland. No seasoning. They gave me one small potato and one piece of asparagus with no seasoning. My husbands Beef entree wasn’t horrible. We are used to eating at nice restaurants, but very disappointed in 28 Atlantic. We thought with the great reviews it was going to be amazing. Not all all. I asked to try a 26 per dollar glass Of wine to make sure I liked it. They gave me a hard time saying with covid they weren’t offering a taste in anything. They finally did end up giving in. I’m not a demanding person. If you’re charging that much- you should let your customers taste if requested. They also add the gratuity in which I did not like. Only positive was the view.
My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Wequassett Inn in July. It was an incredible experience. We mentioned it was our anniversary when we made the reservation and the staff went out of their way to make us feel special. We booked the standard garden view room but it was amazing - very large, well appointed with fireplace and sitting area and we could see the water from the deck. We had dinner at 28 Atlantic and even though we ate inside we felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed the water view! The chef came by to say hello and told us about some of the dishes. I ordered the octopus appetizer and my husband had the crab and avocado toast appetizer. Both were delicious. For the entree, I had the cod and my husband had the duck. Both were delicious and were perfectly prepared and presented.
Wequassett is a beautiful resort and the staff go above and beyond to please their guests. I would highly recommend.
Dear Sus123; Thank you for celebrating your anniversary with us. We are thrilled you had such an enjoyable time at the resort and that had a memorable getaway. Our sincere appreciation for sharing your experience and we hope to welcome you back again soon. Best regards, Josette C Willis Director of Quality Assurance
We understood that this was a different situation with COVID, but the service was lacking and the food was very underwhelming. My friend’s overpriced scallop and lobster was TINY and she was still hungry after she ate everything. The strawberry shortcake dessert we ordered was basically 2 stale biscuits with whipped cream and strawberries. Although we are going through difficult times and restaurants are having to adjust to the current environment, the extremely expensive and overpriced food plus the included gratuity when we had poor service was extremely disappointing.
Dear Celina, Thank you for taking a moment to bring your concerns to our attention. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your dining experience. It is regretful that both your food and service fell below expectations. I would welcome the opportunity to personally review your feedback and may be reached at the resort at 508-430-3024. Once again our sincere apologies and I hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, Josette C Willis Director of Quality Assurance
The food was excellent. We especially liked the lobster carbonara Full of flavor and fresh. Salad was very fresh and dressing was tasty. Views were amazing! Chicken was very small portion.
Father’s Day tradition. Typically it’s wonderful all around however the server kept forgetting to bring us things we asked for multiple times
We infrequently visit 28 Atlantic...it is a pricey indulgence. But the view is the best on the Cape is one of the best on the Cape, the food is delicious, and the service is a notch above nearly every other restaurant on the Cape (and definitely superior to the local competition). Both my wife had the duck entree. It was fabulous.
