Twelves Grill & Cafe
Twelves began with renovations of the 125 year old bank in January 2008 and the doors to the restaurant were opened on August 26, 2008. Twelves continues to be an amazing part of the West Grove Borough. We currently seat for lunch, brunch, and dinner along with hosting private events, special themed dinners, and local fundraisers.
Twelves Grill and Cafe has been owned by Knute and Bernadette Mellon since 2018. The Mellons are originally from Philadelphia and moved to West Grove in 2013. They have three children Gavin, McKayla, and Maci. The Mellon Family has many exciting plans for the future here in West Grove.

Retirement celebration. Mary is a wonderful server. The cake made by Twelves was exquisite.
Always enjoy our time and food at Twelves! Service is always excellent! Looking forward to returning soon!
For at least the last decade I visit the Western Philly suburbs once or twice a year and always make time for dinner at Twelves. The staff are wonderful and remember me even though we dine there so infrequently. My only criticism is menu related. I have developed significant lactose intolerance over the last few years. Most every item on the menu has a significant dairy component. Although the kitchen is very very accommodating and willing to adjust recipes to my dietary needs, there is only so much they can adjust. Cream soups are cream soups. While here are a few choices for appetizers, entrees and sides, there is not a single lactose free item on the desert menu. Twelves is a solid 4.25 out of 5. With a little more thought to those of us who are getting older and lactose intolerant, it would be a SOLID 5.
Outstanding dinner and service.
The menu and the quality of the food is not what it use to be which is a shame, because the service was outstanding and the evening was very pleasant. We have recently had lunch at Twelve's and had a very good meal. I just haven't been impressed with the dinners recently.
For the last 9 years, excluding 2 COVID ones, we have celebrated our Wedding Anniversary at Twelves. Starting with our favorite mushroom soup and ending with Key Lime Cheesecake and Creme Brulee, everything was outstanding. I had the Halibut entree for the first time and it was delicious. My husband was happy with his steak entree. Service was timely and professional.
We had appetizers, salad, entre' and desert. All were delicious. Service we pleasant and attentive. Our local Go To place in West Grove.
Great place! Will defiantly be back!! Would recommend this place for everyone!
Great place for lunch and dinner - they handled our change of time perfectly.
We were seated next to an exceptionally loud group of women which made our conversation hard to hear. We’re we’re all satisfied with our meals with the exception of one of us. The current owners should go back to using whatever chicken the previous owners used to buy because it was always very tender. However the last two times I ordered it it was really tough. I could barely cut it last night. It’s always been my favorite dish on the menu but I won’t try it again.
We had a very nice meal, the food was delicious and the service excellent.
The tortellini with summer squash and basil sauce was excellent. Tortellini was tri colored. Glad I got it! Love their mushroom soup! I always get it. Delicious!
Best hamburger ever!!!
Angie and Mary are the BEST servers !! The fried breaded oysters are some of the BEST I have ever eaten! The breading is awesome!!
Great food and excellent service from Angie!
This restaurant continues in its excellence in the food, creative menus, and service. The reliability of knowing that you can expect an outstanding dining experience brings us back whenever my family has plans to be in the area. I must applaud this husband and wife team in maintaining such a consistent and profoundly enjoyable eatery for over a decade. It's a real achievement for such a difficult profession. These are two entrepreneurs who really have the knowhow to make a business flourish. West Grove is extremely lucky to have them in their midst.
Server was not the best and waited an 1 1/2 for our main course. I got up and asked someone if they could check on our order as other tables who came in after us were already being served. Someone came over to our table with a stern attitude ( didn’t apologize) and gave us the excuse that we had appetizers and that their restaurant is a made to order and that the kitchen was very busy. Everyone said their meals were ok-good however my salmon was over cooked/dry after asking for a medium temperature and the asparagus was shriveled while everyone else’s were not… Maybe sat under the lights too long. Not impressed with this restaurant.
To be honest, all I can say is that everything was fine. Both ladies had the Salmon; they thought it was fine. Both men had the cowboy rib-eye steak; Super! So the food was very well done and that's the most important thing, however, I was surprised that we were charged $5 for each bottle of wine we had opened ($15). Maybe this was mentioned on the website and I hadn't noticed it. No big deal; I just don't particularly like being charged for B-ing my own B at a BYOB. Still, overall, 5 stars. Well, maybe 4 1/2. Check 'em out!
Amazing meal. Great dinner and service.
Birthday celebration was great fun. Fun outstanding and great service.
Appetizers were delicious. Entrees we’re just ok and lacked flavor. The risotto was bland and under cooked.
We hadn’t eaten there and it was a nice treat to rediscover it.
We love Twelves and have eaten there often. The food is very good, and the service was great.
Amazing food. Everything was seasoned well and was cooked perfectly!
Great experience. Both food and service were excellent.
The food was delicious. Had dreams about the mushroom fries and blue cheese coleslaw. All 4 of us enjoyed every bite. Even though it was about a 45 minute drive, we will return soon!
We loved it. We had a party of 8, I try to bring a group each 12th. Service was perfect. The soup was AMAZING. The strawberry shortcake recommended by the server was not great in my opinion. The biscuit was too hard and I didn’t care for the taste. I wouldn’t order again but aside from that, everything was perfect!!
Sorry but this is the second time we’ve had a bad experience with their food. The service was good and they have ample food choices and we were glad to see they have a nice wine selection, however I don’t think that we will be returning.
Angie is a wonderful waitress!!! Food is always great.
Service was slow and waitress maybe new or first day on job . We sat down she came to take the order we had no menus . Asked for.a glass of wine she said we have beer only when we looked at menu it clearly said wine and beer.
One meal was great the other was cold sent it back came back still cold . Very disappointing the tables we sat at wobbled very annoying.
Party of four, two couples, made reservations. Restaurant was not crowded, our table was set and ready for us. Waitress was attentive. Pasta special was said to be very good, hamburger was good. Turkey reubens were good but a bit disappointing, basically turkey deli sandwiches with pickle and chips.
Amazing experience as usual. The cucumber gazpacho soup was absolutely delicious. Cheese board was incredible. Outside seating was delightful. Everything was on point. And, of course, our server Mary is the BEST. This is one of the best restaurants in the area...period.
My family has dined at Twelves many times over the years and we continue to experience the best in food, service and staff friendliness each time. Last evening, Quinn was our server. He was very professional and accommodating to small changes we wanted to make in our orders. With my ribeye steak, I asked to switch the collard greens for grilled oyster mushrooms that was accompanying another menu item. No problem and they were the best grilled mushrooms I've had. My daughter has a problem with garlic so he asked the chef to develop a tasty substitute for the garlic-containing one on the menu item. It was perfect. We will be back soon.
We always enjoy Twelves and recommend it highly! Food is great, service is good and unobtrusive. The outdoor seating is quite nice, too!
Went to Twelves for our anniversary dinner. It was delicious as always. The crab cakes are all meat and the Parmesan Crusted Chicken is amazing!
Wonderful food and superb service - made for a lovely dining experience.
Always a great place for a nice dinner. The service is excellent, the food is delicious. The prices are reasonable.
Love the food and service. Would love to see the walls painted such as a deep garnet red or terracotta orange. The halibut was divine and the Parmesan crusted chicken is still on the menus which my husband and I both love.
Enjoyable evening for the wife’s birthday!
Took a long time but food was excellent. Loved the halibut, and the tomato soup and mushroom soup were both very good. Interesting historic building.
