I didn't realize they closed at 9 pm on Sunday, our reservation was for 7:30 pm. It was very quiet inside, we were seated and our drink order was taken. We ordered 4 menu items to start, with the intent to order 1 or 2 more. The lettuce salad was delicious. It is all small plates and it comes out one at a time. My boyfriend finished his drink and got a second, I wasn't finished with mine yet. The next two menu items came out, and we enjoyed them. They started closing stuff down, I never got another chance to order a second drink and we didn't get much attention after that last plate. We didn't feel comfortable ordering more food even though we were still hungry. We ordered dessert and left. Total we were only there 1.5 hours, we were there celebrating my birthday. We would of spent $200 or more and spent more time there, but we felt unwanted. I've had better service from lower scale restaurants. I had high hopes since it is only 2 blocks away from my house.

I would not recommend this restaurant. The service and food was average at best. We got our appetizers before we got our cocktails. Thai soup was bland and boring. The tomato tart with fried capers was on soggy tasteless bread. The menu looks great at first blush but the food is average. They are trying too hard and not meeting the mark. Food was not that warm either. On the upside, scallop special was good.

We went here for a date night and it was really perfect. The plates are all meant to be shared but are good portions and definitely worth the money. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for a special evening or a get together with friends.

We had had brunch here the week before and liked it so much that we returned the following Sunday with two friends who live in the neighborhood but had not yet visited 12@MADISON. They loved it as much as we did!

We have had dinner here a couple of times and loved it, so when friends wanted to go there with us but were only available during the day on a Sunday we decided to have brunch. It is as wonderful as the dinners are. The bread pudding French toast was particularly outstanding. We enjoyed it so much that we're taking another couple there for brunch next Sunday!

Wonderful creative small plates and charming, helpful service. Highly recommend the bar seating, as the tables are fairly tightly packed in a small space.

This is a great restaurant! We tried the duck confit, gnocchi, and chicken dishes. The chicken was so-so, but the gnocchi and duck confit were delicious! The drinks are really good as well.

Everything we had was amazing, the flavors all blended perfectly. The prices are hard to believe. You would think you would pay twice as much for that kind of cuisine and taste.
It’s a tiny restaurant, so I hesitate to say such good things. I am afraid everyone is going to figure it out and I won’t be able to get a table anymore. But when a place does this good of a job, it shouldn’t be kept a secret.

three of us tried the congee noted by 5280, not one of us liked it. It has an off putting taste and was the only dish not completely eaten. the food was ok, but not really tasty. If I pay that much for food, I at least want it to taste good. Not a comfort food place.
The service was good and the waitperson knowledgeable. The plate was attractively decorated, but of course not filling as it is a small plate place. The salad was good also. kinda pricey for what you get.

This place had really amazing food and beverages for brunch. I loved the clean, simple decor and the wait staff was very friendly. I can't believe there wasn't a line out the door! The portions were just right for brunch and I imagine every item on the menu is fantastic.

Delicious food and solid, approachable wine list. Friendly, casual vibe. The presentation shows how much effort goes into the food. It's all smallish share plates, and the menu can seem like a too-fast trip around the world. But the smoked trout and grilled romaine dishes were excellent. The duck confit ravioli sounded fantastic, but was really salty - must have been a mistake. The gateaux dessert with preserved cherries was outstanding.

Our group of four stuck with the shareable plates and enjoyed an amazing dinner! Each plate was beautifully presented, and the creativity of flavors was remarkable. Our favorites were quinoa "congee" with carrot curry sauce, cauliflower, and currants; and duck confit agnolotti with pickled plums, baby beets, and fried almonds. Some dishes were delicate and others heartier, so the meal felt balanced. Plates were changed often to avoid mixing flavors, and the service was both friendly and efficient. The space has clean and contemporary design and feels intimate. Totally satisfying, nothing like it in Denver!

Chief Jeff, thanks for bringing something like 12 back. Great for foodies, small menu, lots of flavor. Glad I don't live too close or they'd have my whole paycheck.

I went with two vegetarian friends, one of which is also gluten free even though she does not have a gluten allergy and does not eat seafood. There were a lot of options for them. The style is shared plates. I eat meat but partook in all of the vegetarian options and ordered not meat dishes. I cannot speak to any meat dishes. I liked all of the seafood and vegetarian dishes we tried. I think we had 6 or 7. One friend is really into wine and she loved their wine list. She did pick an $80 bottle to start with. It was very good. It was a great meal with good service. It was just more than I wanted to spend for a girl's dinner. Now we did have wine, two bottles (the second one less expensive and two deserts), but split 3 ways, my portion was $92 including the tip.

This is the second time we have eaten here and cannot wait to return. The food is so good; things you don't find on any other menu in town. Each bite is better than the last. This time we ordered the plat du jour, which happened to be one of our favorites: crispy duck confit served with panzanella salad. Cannot say enough good things about how good it was. Keep up the good work, Jeff Osaka!

I am not a huge fan of small plates, but these was very nice. The portions were pretty generous and we all had enough to eat. There were three of us, and the waitress recommended five to seven plates. We had five and it was more than enough.

We had a last minute dinner there with our kids. We luckily hit the happy hour menu in time for the kids. Everything was delicious! The romaine continues to be one of my favorites. The desserts were amazing given the peaches being in season. It's just a great little neighborhood gem of a restaurant!
