What a delightful place! We were celebrating two birthdays the night we dined at 12@Madison, none of the four of us had been there yet, and the staff was really fabulous at filling us in on great suggestions. I like the ambience of this place – it feels cozy but not crowded, the music was at a perfect volume because we could hear the songs but they weren’t drowning us out, and I especially love the fact that it was a quieter dining experience than what I have in many other places. The flavors in this food were phenomenal – I truly slowed down to enjoy this meal in it’s entirety!
I had high hopes. I am very quickly realizing that Denver’s food scene is lackluster and you all are adding to the mediocrity.
This was my second time here. The food is delicious. Service started out really well but, lacked at the end of the dinner.
Overall we were not impressed. The plates really are small, and all are expensive for what you get. Very small portions and the flavors combinations are good but nothing really stood out as ‘great.’ The menu looked so imaginative and tasty but everything kind of flatlined once we got the dishes.
Service was solid but not great, either. One girl that served us was very on point and did well, while our main server seemed confused and was pretty slow all night.
Neat looking place and it has a cool urban vibe. Other than that we’ll likely not go back. $75-100 per person with drinks is better spent elsewhere.
Overall delicious food. Had lobster roll with gluten-free roll which ruined the dish. Roll was hard, heavy and tasteless. Otherwise love this place.
We are huge fans of shared small plates and restaurant character. We we surprised that our four plate meal, bottle of wine, dessert and a port (plus a second gifted us to celebrate a birthday) was less than we spend most spots downtown. Even the still water requested (a full bottle of Fiji) was gratis. Great value. Staff is super attentive, doesn't rush dishes, and chef Osaka creates dishes you cannot even imagine. We will be back again and again and again. Note: Absolutely make a reservation!
Food, service, and ambiance were all excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
The first bad course I’ve had there. The octopus was like eating tasteless rubber and when we both told the waitress, she just smiled.
Amazing food. This is one of the best restaurants in Denver.
Great meal as always, such a special spot.
The service was great and the food was really good. This time I noticed less menu selections for me although I'm both vegetarian & avoid gluten so this is not unusual. I've eaten here a couple of times in the past and remembered there being more options. The current risotto offering (cranberry ginger) definitely has a seasonal slant & is a bit too sweet for my taste.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Well done!
First I want to applaud the amazing staff. Everyone was busy working to make sure each table had a wonderful experience, from explaining the menu, to timing the food delivery, to answering questions about the artwork. These are true professionals!
Food, different from your normal idea of small plates with unique presentations and flavors. My suggestion is to watch to flavors- go in some order for example from light to savory. We jumped around and I feel it distracted from what otherwise was a wonderful dish. Although the dishes are small we left full and very satisfied. The orecchiette pasta dish is THE BEST! A unique menu worthy of the adventurous.
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants when we lived in the neighborhood, but we hadn’t visited in 18 months or so. The food was not as good as we remembered. The octopus was rubbery. The cranberry ginger risotto was unappetizing. Very disappointed.
Toby continues to provide dishes that are innovative and delicious! Service is always wonderful. So grateful that 12@Madison is in our neighborhood.
A little pricey for the small plates. Orecchiette was excellent, but pork tenderloin was ordinary. Waffles and chicken not so good. Snow crab good, but asparagus used was too large and sauce was meh.
Great Service, Great Food, fantastic experience. Thank you 12@Madison Team
Love this place, the food is beyond great!!!! Risotto is to die for.
The food was so so. The cranberry risotto was overtaken by the cranberries. The lobster zucchini soup was ok. Didn’t taste like lobster or zucchini, very bland. The scallops were the best thing. Octopus was not tender, rather chewy love the ambience , but on the high side in price for what you get.
Delicious food and drink with very pleasant wait staff. Will be back again.
The food, beverages and service are all top notch at 12th@Madison. They are all dedicated to their craft and it comes through in their work. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Even the Parker Rolls are sublime.
Outstanding service, just the right amount of attention, courses paced perfectly, excellent wines
Excellent!
Service was outstanding, thank you for making our anniversary dinner a great experience!
SO DISAPPOINTING. Booked a 4 top dinner reservation for Friday at 5:15 pm. Our bill was $380. The service is abysmal- truly. TRAIN YOUR STAFF IN FINE DINING. Every single time the server came to the table, she interrupted the conversation. And kept right on blathering about whatever was useless information. At 6:30, the manager began attempting to make us leave. From 6:30-7 someone came to the table every 5 minutes. Despite the food being good, we won’t be coming back since apparently a $400 bill buys you one hour at the table. This isn’t NYC, guys. Double and triple seating doesn’t work in a mediocre restaurant environment like Denver. If it’s a fine dining restaurant, your staff shouldn’t look and act like it’s fast food.
Service- fantastic. Food - fantastic, especially the gnocchi!! Music- great (included some White Stripes!), drinks- to die for. Must go and then, go again!
Love this place. Cozy, sweet and great food to share with the table. I’m a vegetarian and had no problem sharing with the table.
Great food and excellent service. Our server was so kind and brought out a cake we'd dropped off earlier in the day. Great wine and food suggestions. Thank you!
12@Madison did it again. Terrific food. Best cocktail of the fall is their new version of a French 75. It’s amazing. Our waitress was on the ball and terrific. I love these guys. Just wish they had a more spacious dining room... but i guess it is just right as is.
The staff was communicative and so present. It was obvious each person we interacted with took pride and enjoyment in their work.
Amazing food, amazing cocktails, amazing people, lovely ambiance, gorgeous bar. Highly recommend the Omakase after several small plates! Definitely will go back.
Great service, delicious and beautiful food. Love the location but signage slightly hard to find.
Pretty good although I enjoyed my previous visit much more. It really depends on what’s on the menu.
Julia was the absolute best. We let her choose our dishes for the evening and she was able to pair everything perfectly with the bottle of wine we had ordered. I highly recommend sitting in her section!
I have dined at 12@Madison several times and always been very pleased with the food, service, etc. My husband and I had dinner there the other night and the food was just ok. The pastas were undercooked and lukewarm and we were generally underwhelmed. We'll go back and hope for a better meal next time.
12@Madison is easily one of my new favorites in Denver! The service was spectacular, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and couldn't ask for anything better. We shared five plates, starting with the Baby Squash which was amazing, followed by our take on a surf and turf theme with the seared Octopus and the tastiest Diver Scallops you could imagine. Then came the Pomegranate braised Bison Empanada and a French Dip, both out of this world delicious and will have you craving more. For dessert we had the coconut panna cotta and flourless chocolate cake, with every bite you just wanted to savor a little longer. We can't wait to return! Be sure to check out the global wine bottle list, you won't go wrong ordering a bottle for the evening!
Beautiful space. The food is outstanding but not pretentious. Lovely experience.
Beautiful space- great service- food is very good- but potions are definitely too small for share plates.
Awesome food combination
I wasnt as wowed as some. We had good dishes and others that were disappointing. Our favorite combo was the orecchiete with parker house rolls!
