About Tutti Matti
Tutti Matti serves traditional, authentic Tuscan cuisine, prepared using only fresh seasonal ingredients.
Everything is made in house, including our fresh breads and pastas. Some dishes are permanent productions of our kitchen — gnudi, pinci, papardelle, tagliatelle. Others are more seasonal, like stuffed zucchini flowers in the summers and polpetta and hearty soups in the winter. From day one, we have served venison, wild boar, fennel pork sausage and we love to produce delectable trays of antipasto, which change seasonally and daily (sometimes even mid‐service!)
Discover a great list of Italian wines, carefully selected to match the flavours and spirit of Tuscan food.
Tutti Matti has been hailed by critics and received both local and national awards, including the prestigious 2009 "L'Eccio D'Oro" for Osteria of the Year (an award previously won by Mario Batali and Alain Ducasse).

Tutti Matti Ratings and Reviews
Food great. I had the lunch prix fixe which was a great deal and very nice. Plenty of food for me but would not have been enough for a male. Glasses of wine crazy expensive. Bottle better price. We were going to get gift certificates for our young adult kids at Xmas for food only but we realized wine way too expensive for them for an outing. Too bad. So we chose another restaurant for gift cert.
Second evening there....food as good as the first time....which was excellent. But the noise level was so bad that we asked to be moved. And they kindly turned the volume of the music, which is NOT our taste, down so we could actually converse without yelling like the tables near us.
Know that the margins in this business are tight and going to get tighter after the first of the year. But some sound absorbing surfaces might help.
Cheers Joe D.
We had had a great experience at this restaurant three years ago. Pleasant ambiance, delicious food with subtle flavours. We wanted to treat our friends so came back recently, having talked it up. Such a difference. We couldn't hear ourselves talk and the food was far less imaginative and nuanced. It was also overly oily. Disappointing.
This restaurant had a lot of potential but the service was abysmal. The woman waiting on us was unfriendly and unhelpful. We went with the prix fixe menu. We had to choose between three starters. After we ordered the waitress came back and told us they had no tomatoes. Two of three of the available appetizers had tomatoes as a key ingredient: tomato bruchetta and panzanella. I asked her whether there might be another choice since two of three starters for the prix fixe were unavailable. Initially she flat out said no. Then she lectured me that tomatoes aren't in season, to which I suggested they should update their menu then. We didn't come in demanding tomatoes: they were the key ingredient for 2/3 of the options! Eventually she conceded to allow us to have a zucchini salad, which we accepted (and it was very good).
The food was good and they have a lot of potential, but it was so unfriendly that I'm unlikely to go back or recommend it.
The restaurant and staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating, we had a great meal and evening out, the menu and food is undoubtedly authentic Tuscan Italian.
This was especially good as the restaurant was very busy and the reservation made via OpenTable had not been received by the restaurant!
Our friend Allison Fryer recommended this restaurant, and we loved it. The capanota was delicious, the beef and chicken both tender, moist and flavorful. Our server put extra bread in our to-go packet so we could have a proper lunch the next day. We'll definitely the next time we're in Toronto.
We ordered from the Summerlicious menu. The food was non descript was uniformly disappointing to all members of our group. Our group tried all options on the Summerlicious menu. The chocolate dessert was served in a jar so tiny that the spoon barely fit in.
Overall, our experience was very good. Our server was okay. Mumbled when she spoke. Didn't seem knowledgeable or wasn't able to properly describe the dishes or answer the questions we had. Offered us coffee after we were finished dessert. Didn't come back to check on us.
