Everything is made in-house, including our fresh bread and pastas. Some dishes are permanent productions of our kitchen — gnudi, pinci, pappardelle, tagliatelle. Others are more seasonal, like stuffed zucchini flowers in the summers and polpetta and hearty soups in the winter. Poor service and the pasta was under seasoned. Disappointed because I heard good things about this place. Took 30 mins to get an espresso.. cobwebs on the wall by our outdoor table. Asked for pepper and the waiter said, “we don’t have any”. If this place wants to charge premium prices, they need to offer better food and a better experience.
We had a lovely time! Had a long evening with delicious food and drinks. Service is a bit slow - we arrived at 7 and had wine and starters, I checked my watch Sometime before the mains arrived and it was 8:40 - but really lovely. Our server was great, and the length of time made for a leisurely Enjoyable evening. The pizza dough starter and I think a Caesar salad (my partner ordered the salad) and the smashed potatoes were Really good, as were the pizzas.
One thing to note - I chose this patio based off what I now know to be outdated photos of the spacing on the patio. There are more tables in the space than what I saw in the photos from earlier this summer. If you’re attending with 2 and would like a little more space I recommend asking for the front patio!
Had my birthday dinner here with my family. Tutti Matti is one of my favourite places in Toronto. The food is always amazing, the service is competent and friendly, the covered patio in the laneway is funky and fun. Highly recommended.

Pasta was great, but service and experience was lacking unfortunately.
We choose this place based on the good rating and expectations of a fine dining experience but unfortunately the service, food and experience was not there.
The burrata appetizer was really tasty but the fettuccine pasta and spiedini Di maiale lacked effort.
AMAZING! the pizza and pasta is incredible I love the wild boar pasta and the brisket pappardelle was spectacular the pappardelle is perfect I love this restaurant so much!
Great wine, food, service and atmosphere
Pretty disorganized, we were barely acknowledged by staff on arrival and were only seated 45 minutes passed our reservation time. Overall the service was disappointing, it was not like this during previous visits. Food was great, but was not a comfortable experience.

The food is average and overpriced. Our plastic wine glasses were dirty. The waiter forgot about our wine order. The table beside us found something in their food.
The food is not great. Since the last time I dined at this restaurant a few years ago, there's been a sharp drop in the quality. There is little authenticity to speak of, we ordered 6 dishes overall and I can't say any of us were happy with any one of them.
The cocktail drinks were served within minutes, meaning they were most likely pre-made, and they tasted like it.
Service is friendly and quick though.

Fantastic Italian as ever! We love the housemade -- everything, pasta, bread, pizza, is all made in house with care and attention and the finest ingredients.
We knew outdoor dining meant “streetside”, but unlike most other restaurants in the neighborhood, there was no effort at this place to approach “patio” style ambiance. No lights, no makeshift fencing. Our choices were sit in a table that was dragged to the sidewalk and suffer loud motorcycles and cars, or sit in a smelly alleyway with “$&@* you” scrawled on the wall above our heads. This phrase summarizes the attitude of the manager, dressed in baggy street clothes appropriate to painting the basement (or hanging out in an alleyway I suppose), so it was fitting. Our appetite was turned off by the “ambiance” and the $18 GLASS of house red (poured by a busser in the alley). When my wife settled on the tuna crudo, he flatly told her they were out of it. (8pm btw) He had no comparable suggestions. Since there was nothing else she wanted, she said, I’ll just share my husband’s pasta, he replied “that’s it?!” with an air of disdain. Regardless of the poor hospitality, we tipped a custom 15% and on exiting, we received not even a goodbye.
The only light of hope in this curbside bistro was another server who was attentive to us on arrival and was pleasant to us on arrival and departure. One star goes to her. Oh yeah… the pappardelle was also very tasty. That earns the other star.
The pandemic has been tough for all restaurants. Innovation and passion is what separates the good ones from the weak.
Great food, really nice people and great location.
The food was truly amazing, but the service was not impressive, and we had to drink our red wine in plastic cups.
Was able to find a table easily via their online reservation system. Service was excellent and they had a nice patio area set up in the alleyway next to the restaurant. However, the food was hit and miss. Perhaps the kitchen staff needs to get back into the groove of things. By the end of the meal we were all full but not satisfied. For the price, we expected much more. Unsure if I'll come back.
Here's what we had:
* Polpetta Finti - absolutely delicious! I could have just had this for dinner and would have been completely happy.
* Porchetta Crostone - also very delicious! They flavours and textures were great!
* Pappardelle (braised brisket) - the pasta was cooked perfectly but the dish itself was bland. If was difficult to even taste what the brisket was supposed be. Also we found the sauce very thin and runny. Not sure if that's what the chef was going for.
* Costole di Manzo (braised short rib, dark beer, honey, orange, rosemary) - unfortunately another bland dish. You could barely taste any of the dark beer, orange or rosemary. You could however? taste the honey as the dish itself was quite sweet.
* Alto Adige Pizza - nice pizza and the taleggio was flavourful.
* Porchetta Pizza - another one of the tables favourites. Very tasty. Had we only ordered appetizers and this pizza, and we would have been happy.
* Mascarpone Crema Pavlova and Ontario Berries - the berries were nice and the meringue was good, if you like very sweet meringue.

Wished they had done something for friend’s bday
Food was bad. Dishes were expensive for the what they were. Ordered 3 Negroni’s, and they had to be be the worst ones we ever had. It was like water. Pasta (trotenni something) was just boiled pasta and boiled tomatoes and garlic. Pizza base was uncooked. Very bad experience.

This was the first time at Tutti Matti. Unfortunately, I personally was not very pleased. I have a dairy allergy, therefore I was unable to eat certain items on the menu. When I asked if pizza could be half no cheese half with it was not accommodated. I ended up having to eat salad and focaccia which was not a satisfying meal at all. The focaccia was seasoned well but not cooked well enough where some pieces resembled raw dough. My guests each had the braised short ribs which were absolutely delicious, but an extremely small portion (only 1 piece of short rib and 4 small potatoes). Overall the taste of the food was good but it was not a very pleasant experience.
There was some outdoor seating beside the road which was a tad noisy without a barrier between our seats and cars. Other than that it was a great experience

They were only open for 3 days since everything reopened (COVID lockdown) and everything was incredible!! Food was delicious! Our server was friendly and quick! I highly recommend the charcuterie board. One of the best!!
