Great meal. Alex is an excellent and knowledgeable server.
We picked this restaurant because we wanted to go to Claremont and were able to make reservations. The ratings were good so we thought we would try it. Unfortunately we were seated right by the front door. The problem is that there is no waiting area. They have a small bar but if people don’t want to sit there, they are standing right in front of us. The good thing was people were seated fairly quickly. It took longer than the average for someone from the wait staff to acknowledge us but someone finally brought us water. Then it was awhile longer before our waiter came to take our drink order. We wanted to enjoy our wine before we ordered. Our waiter was very good, when we had him. It just seemed like he didn’t pay enough attention to us. Once we did order it took a long time before we got our food. In the meantime, the people sitting in the next table, were VIP’s (per them they come every Saturday). They received attention from all the workers. Everyone stopped by to say hi. They received their appetizers and food very quickly. They were very nice and noticed the lack of attention we were receiving. I think they mentioned something to our waiter because he came over and apologized. We explained to him that we were disappointed in the service. He mentioned something about the kitchen. But it really was his lack of attention to us. We wouldn’t see him for long periods of time. He ended up giving us his employee discount, which may have been 50% off. All in all, the food was excellent. I got the lobster ravioli and my husband got the swordfish. We were going to order a dessert and grand mariner (per the VIP’s) but he took so long to come back, we decided against it. Don’t know if we would go back. At least not in the near future.
We visited on a Saturday Evening. Everything was very good. Good, attentative service from Philip; Food was very good with special attention to details(compliments to the kitchen!), wines were excellent, altough pricewise on the upper level for Claremont.
The only negativ point was the noise level in the restaurant. I understand it was Saturday evening, full house, but the noise for this type of restaurant was too heavy. We needed to lean forward to understand each other!! I would recommend to the owner/person in charge to use plants/dividers to bring the noise level down. Even the waiters told us, that they have adressed this issue, but nothing really happens!
Because of the disturbing noise, we were not able to give 5 stars, but only 3.
Best service ever! Excellent food especially the burrata and the bruschetta!
Very noisy but always nice.
visiting my college student daughter
nice homemade pastas
We celebrated my husband's birthday and we had a very pleasant experience. Philip was our server and he took good care of us. He was very professional and attentive and even gave my husband a little ice cream with a candle to top off the celebration for the night. We loved the ambiance of the restuarant and the food was very good. We would definitely come back and introduce this restuarant to our family and friends.
Yes, we would. In fact we have recommended Tutti Mangia many times to our friends and will continue to do so in the future.
We took clients from Orange County as our guests. They loved the food and the event was perfect. Thank you Tutti Mangia for an excellent evening.
Very nice and quaint. Would recommend to others. Will go back for sure!
Always enjoy coming here, local neighborhood spot that doesn’t disappoint!! Really great food and good service! Their seasonal items and specials are really good, some of our party ordered the pumpkin/squash soup and it was so delicious and fresh and wasn’t heavy at all! I love their salads, generous portions that we were able to share! Wonderful wait staff but also support staff, always refilling waters, bringing out bread, fresh pepper, Parmesan cheese to grade, wonder dinning experience!! The Cocktails from the bar were delicious and you could tell were made with care, no attention to detail was left out!
We have always loved Tutti for quality of food, and excellent waiters. We have always felt the restaurant inside is very loud, not allowing for a relaxing atmosphere. The prices seem to be going up. We will return in the future, but noise and rising cost keeps us from making a regular habit of dinning at Tutti.
Outstanding Italian food; homemade pasta, delicious seafood, and scrumptious desserts. What more could you want?
We went to celebrate our Anniversary, evening was ok, service was a little slow for a Thursday night w not many people you will think it will be faster service.
Our friend wanted a dish that was not on the menu, to our delight the chef made it for him. Also the Pesce Misto was delicious!!!
Would highly recommend this restaurant. The food and service is excellent.
Tutti Mangia is the perfect ambiance for a gathering of friends or an intimate dinner. The food is excellent and creative. I am a good cook, so I will only go out to a place where I can't make what I am served. Our waiter, I think her name is Kathy, was as always impeccable. If my husband and I are going to a nice restaurant we expect the service to be personal, not obtrusive while still always aware of the needs of the table. Top marks again Tutti Mangia
It very good experience, like the food loved the energy and the customer service was very good, the over delivered.
Food was good, you can see the cooks took there time on each plate.
Overall it was it was great night.
Always a pleasure thank you!
I always enjoy my experience at Tutti Mangia. Their food and service is excellent. You never feel rushed, in fact my friends and I were here for three hours and never felt the need to leave before we were ready. All of the courses were a taste sensation, from the soup to the main dish to the dessert! I guess they can be described as a bit pricey, but it is fine dining at its best and always good for a special occasion.
The food is well made, you can taste the dedication the chefs put in their work. The server was kind and thoughtful of every little thing in our experience. I would definitely come back.
My Birthday dinner,
Food is amazing as always !
Our server, Jodi, was a total pleasure. Her knowledge of the menu and food in general made us very happy and comfortable with asking her advice on ordering. Our meal was exceptional!
Very good food, portion was very large. Tables are a bit closer together than I would prefer but overall I would recommend it for special ocassions.
Love eating here, it's just the right location, food, service and value for a great evening. Definitely will go back!
Alex is our favorite wait person. Great attention, service, sense of humor and always has great suggestions. Had the excellent grilled octopus salad. Daughter had the yummy purple carrot soup. Hubby had superb Caesar salad. Spaghettini was wonderful. Spicy, pork belly-perfect. Enjoyed our cocktails. A great evening!
Was a special evening we came early to walk around the great city of Claremont . We were seated on time in a nice relaxing atmosphere . Service was prompt with a waiter that had a warm personality ! We started with he Caesar which I can’t get over how good the dressing was , I don’t like strong anchovy flavor it was perfect ! I had the chicken Marsala that was so yummy . . My date the sea bass he enjoyed his dish as well . It was an all around great experience!! The wine and salted Carmel gelato made my night . I can’t wait to go back !!
Haven't been there for a few years when under prior management. Much better! Food was consistently good and service was excellent! Also, the bar service, while a bit slow, was outstanding. Martinis and gimlets were made well and bartender was a true "mixologist." Will go back. Highly recommend!
My wife and I visited Tutti Mangia for the first time to celebrate her birthday. Had heard great things and really wanted to like it but the food was a little disappointing. We ordered the carpaccio antipasti and that was underwhelming. Had to be scraped off the plate. My red snapper (a special) was good while my wife's braised short ribs & polenta was meh. Will visit again, due to the service and ambience, but will certainly order different items.
Was looking for orrechite but it was taken off the menu not sure why because really good. They made it for me anyways
First visit. Will be back soon. Best service anywhere!!!
What a great little spot! Friends had recommended it and this was our first time. Loved everything about it and will definitely be back.
The food was excellent. We ordered steaks and they were cooked perfectly, good flavor and great presentation.
Unfortunately, they took about an hour to arrive at our table.
Our server was nice and apologetic for the long delay.
We have dinned here several times and the service is usually great, so this might have been an isolated experience.
We would recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food and overall friendliness of the staff.
We've been before and the food didn't disappoint. Food was great. The wait was not. They apologized and gave us dessert but I was tired. The noise level was also really high. I haven't been in awhile but remember it more quiet and romantic. This night it was not romantic. We were celebrating our anniversary which I mentioned in the reservation from open table but didn't bring up at the table. Maybe open table didn't relay that info. I'll go back for the food but not the ambiance. Plus who runs out of Reisling. Wife was not happy.
This was an overpriced meal with mediocre food and actively terrible service. What a massive disappointment for a dinner with family celebrating dropping our daughter at college. When we arrived, we immediately noticed a sign that said that parties could only occupy their table for 2 hours. I found that surprising, and even more surprising given that it took nearly 20 minutes for anyone to offer us anything but water, the waiter took our wine order, brought the bottle to the table 12 minutes later, put it down and said he would come back and open it and tell us about the specials, and then proceeded to be gone for another 15 to 20 minutes. So it was nearly 45 minutes before our wine was opened. The service was erratic like that throughout the rest of the meal. I had the special tomato tart, the crust of which was so soggy that it was soup like, followed by a $39 cioppino in which EVERY PIECE OF SEAFOOD was over cooked. The rest of my party fared a bit better in terms of food quality, but every single dish was overpriced relative to its quality. Two large scallops on a bed of gummy risotto for $34?? And then, to top off the insult of the bad service, we were a party of six so a tip of 20% was automatically added to the bill. Perhaps that is why the service was bad — the waiter knew he was getting his 20%. I am disappointed — we have four more years of visits to Claremont, but this is certainly somewhere I will never return.
Tutti's typically has terrific service...but somehow on this particular Saturday we were literally ignored for something like 10 minutes, despite the seeming 10s of thousands of extras running hither and yon. One the initial service snafu got solved, things went much more smoothly the all the food was delicious. That said, Tutti's needs to be a better job of ensuring their usual service quality is reflected in their server and other attendants' training program. Like, I shouldn't have to beg for my water glass to be filled.
Excellent food and service!
Overall fine. Food is good but not great. Service excellent.
This this has become our go to restaurant for special occasions. Excellent food and service!
Salad. Tomatoes, basil soaked in tasteless oil. Mozzarella-tasteless. No Italian would consider this a FRESH SALAD. The waitress said the tomates would be so delicious. Wrong.
Dinner. Sea Bass was very good. However, it was covered with tasteless vegetables. I tried to separate the fish from the vegetables, but it was impossible. If I had an extra plate I could managed better. I did eat the Sea Bass but left the overcooked tasteless vegetables on my plate. They were swimming in something tasteless.
I have had many meals in Italy, Tuscany in particular, and nothing resembled true Italian cooking.
