Tuscarora Mill, the cornerstone of Market Station, has been serving fine food & wine to its guests since 1985. Originally an operating grain mill, Tuscarora Mill has maintained the rustic interior & charm of the mill. Chef Patrick Dinh’s seasonal menus use the freshest of local produce. Signature dishes include Sesame Roasted Salmon, Roasted Lamb Chops & Portuguese-style Rockfish. To compliment the menu, Tuscarora Mill has an impressive wine list, winner of the Wine Spectacular Award of Excellence for the past 10 years. The in-house bakery, SouthStreet Under, prepares savory breads & decadent desserts daily. Affectionately known to the locals as Tuskie’s, this finer eatery also sports a relaxing bar, serving 22 beers on tap & a café menu. Whether it is a romantic dinner, a casual lunch or a corporate function, Tuscarora Mill will surely exceed your expectations.

Anniversary dinner.

But just honestly, one of the best meals I’ve had anywhere, for any reason, at any time.

At the end, I was happy to give them my money.

When was the last time you felt that way when presented with the bill?

Eat here.

We had an excellent evening. Mark our waiter was outstanding. Table 3 was a great table. The 16oz bone in veal chop was delicious, and cooked perfectly. Can't wait to go back again.

We had an overall good meal and night out. The only setback was the waitress. Was told one of our party had dangerous allergic reaction to strawberries. She wrote it down on our order. Dessert came with strawberry on the plate. Waitress said whoops I forgot to tell them. Chuckled and went to replace the plate. The restaurant is very nice and worth repeating. We will be back.

Everything was perfect for our meal and experience was excellent. We started with oysters on the half shell, corn chowder, the Thai crab soup, and seasonal salad. Each was very good, though the oysters could have been larger. For entrees/ medium plates, we had the shrimp grits, branzino, lamb chops, and the special New York strip. Each was cooked perfectly!! The dinner ended with the key lime tart, butterscotch bread pudding, chocolate brownie, each not overly large or sweet. Will definitely add to our regular list of must eats for special occasions!!

Our server was great. The food was very good. I asked to have the fish grilled rather than fried for the fish tacos. This did not happen, so I only ate half the fish.

Returned here for dinner after being away for a few years and it was even better than we remembered: the service, hospitality and atmosphere all are lovely, yet the food surpasses even those elements. A simple garden salad is made perfect with tomatoes and greens that seem to have sprung from the ground just hours before. Order at least a cup of the corn chowder - too delicious to miss. Our knowledgeable server enhanced our meal with her great advice on wine, and with the reasonably priced wine list, you will find something just right for your entree choice. It's hard to save room for dessert with all the enticing appetizers and entrees, but if you don't order the peach cobbler (or whatever the special fruit-based dessert of the day is), it would be tragic. One final comment about how welcoming Tuscarora Mill is: we arrived here on a brutally hot and humid Labor Day, looking somewhat the worse for wear, but were welcomed as if we were fresh and fancy - that's part of the hospitality I mentioned. Love this place.

Great service and excellent food!
The staff are friendly and pay attention to detail; on OpenTable, I mentioned that the special occasion was my wedding anniversary, and when we sat down, we noticed that our menus were customized with a message stating "Happy Anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. ____!"

The food is fresh and tasty, and just the right portion size so that you aren't so full, that you can't have dessert. The dress code is business casual, but at the same time, I didn't see them turn away a guy who had shorts and shoes without socks.

I like the noise level of the restaurant, which is just right. If you get a seat by the window, you can get a great view of the shopping center and all of its unique and charming shops & restaurants.

Have been going to Tuscarora for more than 30 years. The food quality is excellent. The service always good. The ambiance is very welcoming. My problem is that the restaurant offers only one vegetarian entree and it always seems like an afterthought. This time it was a tired portobello mushroom dish: two slices of the mushroom with some type of savory sauce, along with bland ratatouille and nothing asparagus spears. My Manhattan was great, as was my Caesar salad, top quality. So was the mango sorbet for dessert. But the main course is the main part of the meal, and it was sorely disappointing. My wife loved her stuffed local squash blossom appetizer and seafood ravioli. So one of us was very happy.

Annually, we travel from Seattle to DC and then to Winchester, VA, to visit family. We always make sure to stop at Tuscarora Mill for dinner. Service is always excellent, as is the food and selection. Looks of local dishes. Lately, we have especially enjoyed local seafood in a tomato based broth with saffron. Unique and delicious.
