Tuscany on Taylor
The food and service was fantastic! We brought home left overs, and those have become 2 lunches for each of us! Also, it was very festive & in the Holiday spirit!
It was great. I would rate this restaurant up there with the best ever
We felt rushed
Tuscany on Taylor is one of my favorites. Good food, prompt and courteous service, decent wine selection. If you love grilled calamari, then Tuscany is the best place to go!
Food was great as always. We had 5:30 reservation and was on time for it. We had to wait for over 20 minutes which made our meal rushed as we had a concert to attend after our meal. They should point out that reservation time is not a commitment on their side but an expectation on the customers side to be on time. Will reconsider using this restaurant when time matters.
Excellent choice for authentic Italian dinner with the family! Food was outstanding, service impeccable, and ambiance very comfortable. The wine list could have been a bit broader, but was ample, and our Barolo paired perfectly with the Bisteak entree. Definitely will return to try more!
Sat down 20 minutes after reservation. Food was good
We arrived early and the hostess wouldn’t seat us although our table sat empty. That was the only beee see t missing
Siam our server was exceptional. Bar tender and drinks while waiting Also excellent.
Food was superlative and very good choices.
Out second time at this restaurant. Popular, glad we had a reservation since there would otherwise have been a wait on this Friday night. Skirt steak with rappini. Was perfectly cooked and tasted. Another in our party had sausage and Pepera and lived it. We shared calamari and it was beautifully done.
First time there and we were blown away! Everything we selected was amazing. Our waitress was on top of it and we left pleased. Will definitely go back.
The food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. The waitress and service staff were very attentive to our needs.
Everything was great, food, waiters etc. my only complaint was that the service was a little too fast at the end of our dinner. The waiters and busboys were clearing plates from some members of our party, also clearing bread, salt and pepper etc. when others weren’t finished. It made for a hurried and awkward ending to an otherwise nice dinner. Several times I said to our waiter, “no rush” but that had seemingly no impact.
Great meal, great service. The hostess did not check off the reservation so our $50 OpenTable GC was denied.
Service is top notch!!
There are so many top shelf Italian eateries in Chicago...this one is right around the bottom of average. This was my second visit, both times it was selected by friends as it would not be my first choice. Service was really good, very nice people run the place but the food is average at best...martini's were average, my wife ordered a Lemon Drop, in nice places this drinks comes with a sugar rim, which she only got after complaining to the waiter. Also the prices suggest the foods should be way better.
It was my 1st time & I enjoyed the food - the Polpi was very nice.
The server was very good and the kitchen was accommodating - I was interested in a salmon entree I saw on their site, but it was on the lunch menu and we came for dinner. The server checked with the kitchen and they agreed to produce the dish.
Great food and service. Drafty and cold on HVAC system. Felt cold air blowing on us whole dinner.
Always good! Have been coming for years & always try to bring new people who have never been there! Food & service never disappoint!
We had reservations for seven at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. We arrived on time and had to wait 1 (one) hour to be seated! And on of our party was in a wheel chair with very limited space for him to wait without patrons bumping in to him. We have been here several times before. The hostesses seemed completely overwhelmed and confused. I was standing 5 feet away from them for an hour. Hopeless.
We were than seated right behind the hostess station and out server took 15 minutes to ask for our drink order. Our server seemed overwhelmed! We started with two orders of calamari. As I stated I have been before and have always ordered calamari. They brought two orders, well they brought two plates with what was one order of calamari divided in two.
By the time the main entree arrived I was too upset to enjoy the meal.
They should have given us a small pizza appetizer after the first thirty minute wait. That’s what is done in other restaurants that appreciate their patrons. Their are more negative comments but i doubt if Tuscany will care either way. Extremely disappointed and will not go back. Oh, there was a party of 5 ahead of us that left very upset.
Unfortunately we were not seated until one hour after our reservation. Although they offered us a flatbread while we waited, and did not charge us for our one appetizer and 2 desserts it was very upsetting since we were celebrating the engagement of our guests. When customers decide to come early and then "hang around" for 3 hours at prime time, the restaurant should institute some kind of policy which prevents this. Babysitters cost a lot of money!!!!
The food here is always great. They are very accommodating with special requests or changes to the food. We always enjoy ourselves here. And the Valet parking is inexpensive.
Great dining experience with my wife and daughter. The service by Luis and his team was impeccable and they made us feel as if we have been regular diners for years. The portions were great and the recommendations by Luis were delicious.
Great food and service. Get the grilled octopus it's delicious.
Gr8 place - servers are gr8 and so is the food
Tuscany is always a favorite of ours. We have never even disappointed. We were sad to see Tuscany close in Oakbrook but found out Phil Stefani has another restaurant going into the same location soon
The food and the service are always spot on. I've been here numerous times and always delicious. This time I had the ravioli with the beef inside and it was fantastic.
Great service by our server, Gil. I ordered the Pollo Vesuvio and it was outstanding. I have been going to Tuscany for years and things don't change much there. You can always rely on a great meal with top-notch service and prices not overboard.
Great service. Tasty food. Just a little noisy but we were still able to have a regular conversation.
Great meal, great service. We always leave full and happy!
Went to Tuscany for my friends visit to Chicago— they loved Tuscany. We really had a great time and loved the food and experience. Seafood was awesome!
Service was prompt and friendly although restaurant not crowded, the restaurant understaffed. Food not as good as usual but still love the place. Would love more consistency.
Always one of my go-to places when I have colleagues in town and they always love it, and most say it's the best Tiramisu they have EVER had!
My friend and I went to dinner here before a show on a Tuesday night. First of all, I want to recognize our awesome server Alfredo G. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. We were fortunate enough to take advantage of their October Pasta Flights! I would highly recommend doing this - it's a great deal for delicious pasta. Plus, we had a bunch of bread with delicious roasted garlic and olive oil mixed together to make kind of a sauce which was amazing. Our server offered to mix the sauce together for us so we said PLEASE DO! He was happy to do so. I also loved the fact that we asked if we could take our time with the meal as we arrived pretty early before our show, so they said that was fine which was great! We were able to actually sit and enjoy our meal. Our server was attentive, respectful, polite, and professional. I would definitely highly recommend going to Tuscany on Taylor - it was delicious and I loved the staff.
The service and food was amazing. Our server was attentive, helpful in making choices and extremely enjoyable. We also loved the location of the Tuscany on Taylor. Beautiful area and easy location to reach! Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Always excellent service and food!
Enjoy coming here great atmosphere!
The food and service created a great experience for my group. The noise level is loud which makes it difficult for conversation with a large group. The value and quality of food was great
This is one of our favorite restaurants and we have celebrated many special occasions here. Staff is amazing! One of the waiters, Mario, knows us by face, no matter how long it may have been since our last visit, and knows exactly what we like, including our favorite wine. It's a bit of a drive for us, mostly Chicago highway traffic, but worth it!
I had the Pollo Vesuvio which was outstanding. Our waiter recommended an Italian Pinot Grigio which really went well with my meal. Tuscany is consistently excellent in all areas ans I will be going again real soon
Wonderful service and wine! Great food.
This is one of the family's go-to neighborhood restaurants for unexpected out-of-town guests. We love to show our guests the Little Italy neighborhood and finish the tour with dinner at Tuscany. We always enjoy their calamari and polpi and try their specials for the evening and one of their desserts, and have never been disappointed. The warm and friendly staff makes you feel comfortable, but the service is classy. What was validating about the experience is that after our guest thanked us for an excellent meal, he commented that he had (unknown to us) actually become quite an 'expert' at Italian food since business had taken him more often to Italy, and that he felt that they had done a great job. Thank you Tuscany for a lovely time.
