We were in Bridgeport and heading north on Sunday evening. We decided to stop by Tuscany where we had been before for some great fresh pasta. We were not disappointed at all. The gnocchi and penne pasta with eggplant were fresh, delicious and perfect for what we wanted. Can’t wait to come back for a full dinner. The staff was great. Thanks.
We were seated promptly for our reservation. Service was prompt, helpful, courteous. started with grilled octopus appetizer (really liked it) and then two nice entrees, which, as normal in a pasta establishment were more than we could finish.
Was very busy with every table full on the Sunday evening we visited
The food was amazing and the service was great!!!
Tuscany is one of my favorite places in Chicago. The service is always excellent, the food sublime. My personal favorite is the grilled calamari.
Girl Friends night out before theater show. Excellent food, friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere.
Three of us enjoyed our Easter dinner at Tuscany. We were not disappointed. The food was cooked to perfection. I had the rack of lamb, and it melted in my mouth. Herbs and spices are used well so that no additional seasoning is required. Wait staff is attentive and courteous without hovering. Tuscany is one of our favorite places to enjoy fine dining!
Our waiters service was good! The food was average - nothing out of this world delicious, but nobody's food was bad. The one thing that I am most upset about is that we were celebrating a special birthday and it was not acknowledged. When I was booking my reservation, I selected "Special Occasion" and then wrote in the comments that it was a birthday, and the birthday boy was the only one in our party wearing a white shirt ((so I didn't think I had to remind anyone at the restaurant)). During our meal the came out with a candle and sang to a girl who was celebrating a birthday on the other side of the dinning room - so clearly they do bring a candle out for birthdays. Then at the end of our meal the waiter asked if we wanted desert, and we all replied "no" because we thought that they would just bring a scoop of ice cream or something for the birthday guest. We simply received the bill, paid, and that was it! Not sure if the waiter knew and forgot, or if the 2 hostess failed on their part? Either way it was sad we were not able to sing Happy Birthday. What is the point of specifying a special occasion when creating the reservation when nothing is going to be done anyways??
Just as good as it was 5, 10, 15 & 20+ years ago. Always look forward to lunch or dinner there.
My favorite italian restaurant in the city! I can never wait for my next visit. From valet, hostess, service and food quality. Everything is above and beyond!
I'll give it another chance because of the quality dishes we had, which were then delicious penne bolognese and the sweet but interesting roasted pear tortellini. The service, to put it in a kind way, was not stellar and so that tainted our experience, but the food was good.
Tuscany has been a tradition for almost 20 years with long time friends when attending the Housewares Show. Great food, drink, and service have kept us coming back annually. Be sure to order the off the menu chop, well worth it.
Great Special - The regular menu is outstanding - Love the Pear Ravioli and the Lasagna of the week was wonderful. The roasted garlic spread on their great bread is to die for. You can't miss with anything on the menu. The wait staff is so attentive.
Overall excellent. The bruschetta although was only average for the $8 for 4.
Love Tuscany. Our absolute fav..Mario is wonderful, most of the staff have been there a long time for a reason..great place!
Always a great time and meal here. We love having Mario as our server but all the servers are friendly and ready to give a good recommendation from the menu. They will also go off menu if you have a special request. Great place for outdoor dining in warmer months as well. The staff will remember you when you go there the next time. They make you feel like family.
Great ambiance and wonderful eats!
I will not go to this Tuscany again due to the noise!! They do have to do something about it! The other Tuscanies in the suburbs not as noisy!! Chris Magel
Food presentation was edit reasonable. Various dinner items ordered were served separately. Crowded and noisy, but it was a Sat. night.
The food was good but the noise level is a huge detraction.
This is a great place to go if you are eating before an event at United Center. The food is very good, and the portions are not insane. The service is impeccable! The tables are kind of close together and it is a little noisy, so I would not pick it for a quiet, fancy meal. But for pre-event eating, it cannot be beat!
Cozy , yummy, classy!
It's has a great staff. Excellent Service.
Our waiter was a total professional. Very accommodating to my daughters restricted died.
Some of the best Italian food in the city. Authentic and great quality. If you want some real Italian food and want a step up from the chains and from the hot spots in River North, go here !
We had some of the best Italian food ever! Our waiter loves his job and was very personable! We will be going back when we come back to town!
Awesome service and the food was delicious!
As usual, we had a wonderful experience at Tuscany. The food was excellent and the staff allowed us to dine at a comfortable pace. Noise was not a problem and 3 people in our group who had not dined there before were very impressed. All are 'foodies' and they all agreed, it was a wonderful event for all!
Mario is the best waiter ever
Very good dinner but restaurant is too loud. Couldn’t carryon a conversation
Tuscany is one of my favorite restaurants to go to in the winter - it just has a romantic, cozy ambiance. I love the staff, and the food is so delicious. True authentic Italian cuisine. I recommend Tuscany to anyone, especially someone looking for a date restaurant!
Went to Tuscany on Taylor for business meal. It was a great spot with great food and service.
Our server was wonderful and brought each course out at a reasonable and not rushed time
The food and ambience are stunning. We arrived early on a snowy night and had an impeccable meal with outstanding service. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive.
The food was fantastic, and our waiter was super friendly and personable. Parking is awful in the area but worth it for how great this place is.
I tried it for the first time. Risotto was out of this world
Came here the 2nd year in a row for Chicago Restaurant Week. Other suburban restaurants participate in this event. Please consider having Tuscany in Wheeling participate next year.
Wonderful food, great service; love their restaurant week menu for us seafood lovers.
Food was very good, service also. We had a vent blowing cold air on us which was a bit uncomfortable but other than that it was a nice evening.
We had a wonderful time and the atmosphere and our waiter was wonderful !~
Great service! Great food!
The food was outstanding - service even better. A great experience at a first class italian restaurant!!!
