Great overall experience! There is really no indication on where you can park other than the valet sign, so we chose that option. Because Tuscany is a restaurant within the building, there is indoor area where you are able to wait. They had a live band in the bar area, which was great for the atmosphere. Fresh bread, oil, and roasted garlic on the table when you sit - Delicious! Ordered the mussels as an appetizer, and wish I would have ordered it over the pasta as my main course. Had an extensive list of specials, and the waiter mentioned the chef on staff is also open to make any adjustments. Ordered spare rib ravioli, and grilled lamb lollipops - these dishes were above and beyond in regards to flavor, portion, and range. The ravioli was cooked perfectly, accompanied by a drizzle of sauce. The lamb was grilled with a rosemary demi-glaze, juicy, and full of flavor. We had also ordered a flatbread, however it was sub-par compared to the other two dishes. It didn't have any of the flavor or care put into the other dishes, expected more from it. The waiter comped the flatbread, and dessert (also recommend the chocolate mousse!). Overall, I would absolutely return to Tuscany, and look forward to seeing the next development of the specialty menu!
Had dinner last saturday night with husband. Someone had given me a gift card so I was enthused to go and try a bunch of things. Sea bass and salads were both very good, fried calamari ap and dessert were only so so. service was prompt, app and salads came out so fast we figured they were premade. It was crowded and many families with kids , noise level was tolerable though. This was overall good. More of a family place than good for a date place for me.
Lively energetic place with good food! My kids loved their Vodka sauce pasta. My husband got the wild boar pappardelle and it was great! I am gluten free and had the salmon special which was also great! Great service too! Didn't have a problem making a res which I was surprised since it was Fri night! All in all, a wonderful night!
As always the food was Excellent and the deserts even better!
Everyone is always smiling and service is superb!
Food is good, but the noise level is very high!!!
My friend and I have always loved Tuscany on Taylor, and will likely continue to go there regularly, but we thought we'd see if Tuscany Oak Brook had some of the same charms. Our waiter, Jose, was great...informed and very pleasant; just the right amount of attentive. The food was good, but at either location, I'm always wishing they had more fish and seafood choices. The baramundi was good but not scrumptious, and in light of that, a little pricey. That said, I LOVE their grilled calamari! And the perk of being at the Oak Brook location on Thursday evening was the live jazz music. Really great! It was just the right icing on the proverbial birthday cake. I'm sure we'll be back.
Enjoyed an excellent meal and then moved to the bar area and listened to a great trio over drinks. Staff was attentive and friendly.
Great food and convenient suburban location. Waiter was attentive without being annoying. Dinners were ravioli, risotto and barramundi fish. Yum!
Seated 45 minutes after our reservation time. Hostess was rude
Service was slow. Tables were crowded together. People and servers bumped into our chairs. When serving next table, the server tray was literally hitting my arm.
We had a fantastic time! The food and drinks were excellent.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
We have been to Tuscany many times of the years but it has been some time. We were surprised by the quality of our dinner. After starting with delicious bread and roasted garlic/olive oil/cheese we had the mussels appetizer. It was just as good as we have had several times in Italy. The red sauce served with the scallop secondi was to die for. Just the right amount of spice and wonderfully flavored chucks of tomatoes. Enjoyed two bottle of wine from the fairly priced list.
Great food and service.
We booked 2/13 to avoid the Valentine's hype & keep our time special instead of commercial. Our attendant Ricardo was essential to our enjoyment for our 1st visit to this venue! Food EXCELLENT, ambiance not as cozy as I had hoped but certainly elegant. Nearby the entertainment was louder than we'd have liked as it broke in to our intimacy; but, still a few more tables away from it would have set background music to the back instead of right up in the midst of our dinner service. I would utilize this spot for any business dinner - it offers the etiquette just right. For a cozy time with the love of your life, get a table farther from the lounge. For superb service, request Ricardo's area. Very nice. Yes, we will be back.
Tuscany is always one of my favorite places to go for a fun night out. The bar tenders are friendly and efficient, and the wait staff are always prompt and professional. We were there the weekend before Valentine’s Day so it was really crowded. Even so, service was excellent.
I look forward to our next visit!
Busy, impersonal service. Food was average. Would not come back on a Saturday night. Band in bar detracted from the restaurant atmosphere.
Very nice cosy spot. Nice live entertainment with very appropriate music- not overly loud
Nice portion sizes. Nice server
We went to Tuscany for a girl friends' get together. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The atmosphere was great. Sometimes we find restaurants very noisy--not so here. Also they gave us a round table for nine so we could all talk to each other easily. Would go back!
I've been coming to Tuscany for many years and I'm sorry to say that the last number of times I've been disappointed. While wait staff was accommodating I'm disappointed in the food. This last time I received practically raw salmon that wasn't even warm to the touch. I wasn't surprised since there was able only 5 minutes between ordering and the food being served.
I just think that with all the new restaurants springing up all around OakBrook and the burbs that Tuscany needs to try harder. I think they are sitting back and resting on their old time reputation........it's not making it for me.......and you need friendlier bartenders.....she seemed like she hated her job. A good bartender is worth their weight in gold.
Very warm and inviting staff. I was there with my two boys 6 and 8 ....our waiter was a nice young man but the waitress who's name I believe started with a C ....was very helpful in
providing coloring books to my boys. She was fantastic!!!! I definitely be back again! Thanks Tuscany!
I have been at Tuscany and had a nice experience....not so this time. Like many others have complained about, the reservation system is a joke. We had a table for 8 reserved 3 weeks in advance and were seated 40 minutes late. The only comfort I got was there were 3 other guys standing at the maître d podium with the same complaint. The band and ambiance is not 'energetic', it's obnoxiously loud and we were thankful whenever the band took a break, and we were seated as far away from them as possible. The waitress was nice and efficient but harried, food was fine but I would best describe the experience and restaurant as chaotic. I'd be hard pressed to recommend this place after this experience.
Despite having a reservation, we were seated nearly 30 minutes late. The manager at the front desk seemed indifferent and made lame excuses. The server was very good but overloaded with tables resulting in delays in service.
Fun night! Perfect place to hang out with a big group of friends.
Seated right away even though our group was early. Food was all delicious Second time at this location, will return!
One of out favorite restaurants in Oak Brook ! The food, service and ambience is what brings us back !!
Great food, decent ambience, ok service. The servers were nice but nothing special and seemed rushed although they weren’t. The bus service was abrupt as well - filling water fast - a plus - but ice splashed back into our plates 4 out of 5 times. And they were oblivious. Funny. Yes. Classy. No. And when you think about the high prices - less amusing. When I folded the “paper cover” on the tabel to absorb a little food splatter (from
when they dropped my food plate in front of me) - yikes - I noticed the disgusting old food spill from guests prior to us. Guess they could’nt sport an entirely new paper cover to protect their thin white cloth table cover. They just need to sharpen the experience to match the amazing food. And their prices. I’d go back for their food.
First time visit and really happy with my overall experience. Food was great. Loved the garlic, olive oil and cheese mixture they provide you with bread. Waiter was very attentive but left us alone to stay a while and talk. We reserved a 5 pm dinner time on a Friday wasn't busy at all but by 6:30 started to fill up. It is a table only restaurant so can be noisy when it fills up but we didn't have any issues. Drank water and bus boy was refilling regularly. Will definitely visit again with family. Prices were what you would expect.
Great service! Our server's name was Amy - she was awesome!! The food was excellent, as always!
We were seated near door on very cold and windy day. I was cold the entire time.
My husband had the tuna which was delicious. I had the steak and was disappointed. It was tough and not very tasty. Nothing great about it.
Service was good.
Great ambiance! Food was sub-par. Very basic without much flavor... but not BAD. Just not what I’d expect from such a nice restaurant.
Great service with excellent recommendations from our server. The food is the star of this show and the show is worth seeing more than once. Thank you Tuscany.
Simply the best Italian Restaurant in the Chicago Suburbs. Great Place, Great people.
Tuscany is consistently great! We go for the veal and the service. We both love the mashed roast garlic with oil and Parmesan to spread on the Italian bread, which even with nothing on it it’s the best bread around. Always have live music on Saturday night in the bar. Good musicians and the people watching is interesting
We had a great meal and the wonderful live music was so great! Can't wait to come back again!
We were sorely disappointed at Tuscany saturday night. Three of us ordered pasta and one person ordered fish. Everything was so bland, lacking any flavor. Also the description of my dish was wrong, they said it had pesto and garlic, it had none. It's extremely loud, the wait staff never refilled our water and was not attentive at all. At their prices, I expect more. We will never return, there are too many restaurants with delicious, flavorful food at much better prices along with better service.
All components of our visit were excellent
The dining room was cold. Had to wear coat half the time we were there. It was New years Eve and ordered from special menu, only to find out later that we needed to choose other entrees because they ran out of the entrees on special menu. Bread was very hard.
Food was delicious. Service good. They had a problem with there heat and it was Freezing . Thought they should have offered a free desert or drink or discount due to the lack of heat. We eat with our coats on and so did several tables around us.
It's always a pleasure to dine at Tuscany. I'm never disappointed by the authentic Italian food prepared in very innovative ways. Everything on the menu is delicious and the service is top-notch!
